'Jersey Shore' cast on for season 3, maybe jealous of Snooki

Whether or not the rumors of a "Jersey Shore" strike were true, one thing is for certain: the cast will be back in Seaside Heights for season three.

While Jenni "J-Woww" Farley told Steppin’ Out magazine that the rumblings of a strike were “very untrue” and that "stories about strikes and things" make them all laugh, MTV - which previously held a no comment stance as reports circulated that the cast was angling for $30,000 per episode - has issued a statement.

"MTV is pleased that the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3,” the network said. “Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for ‘Jersey Shore’ Season 2 on July 29th."

'Heroes' star Ali Larter is pregnant

Let's celebrate this Hump Day with a little baby news: "Heroes" actress Ali Larter and her husband Hayes MacArthur are expecting their first child, CNN confirmed. The baby is due this winter.

The couple have shared the news right before their second anniversary; Larter and MacArthur wed last August at MacArthur's home in Kennebunkport, Maine.

According to People, this is a moment Larter has wanted for a while. "I told my boyfriend after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow," the actress told Cosmopolitan in 2007, when she and MacArthur were dating. "I look forward to that time when I'm home with babies."

Chris Isaak in running as 'Idol' judge?

Another day, another possible contender for Simon Cowell’s vacant judge’s chair on “American Idol.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer Chris Isaak has met twice with Fox officials as they seek to find Cowell’s replacement for season 10 of the hit show.

With Cowell off “Idol” and taking up the reins of his new show “The X Factor,” rumors have been running rampant as to who might replace the snarky Brit. Howard Stern, Brett Michaels and Harry Connick Jr. are just a few of the stars whose names have been bandied about.

“Idol” big wigs are notoriously close-mouthed regarding just about anything having to do with the show, so the wait and see game continues. We just hope it really is the "Wicked Games" star and judges haven’t been meeting with this singer Chris Isaak.

Taylor Swift's new album filled with confessions

Taylor Swift doesn't talk about her personal life in interviews, but perhaps that's because all one really has to do is listen to her music.

Her third album, "Speak Now" arrives in stores October 25. Swift said during a UStream live chat with fans that the title of the album expresses volumes about its concept and theme.

“There have been a lot of things that have happened in the past two years that I have been dying to write about,” she said. “Each song is a different confession to a different person.”

A nerd’s-eye view of Comic-Con

So you know a little thing called Comic-Con is happening this week in San Diego. (Maybe you’ve heard of it?)

It's the annual pop-culture extravaganza that's luring something like 100,000 people to the San Diego Convention Center for a long weekend of comic books, movie trailers, celebrity sightings and super serious costuming.

CNN iReport plans to be right in the middle of it. We’re rallying a small army of people inside the convention – and outfitting some of them with custom-designed Comic-Con Flip video cameras – to help capture all the action.
