Welcome to the 'Lindsay Lohan goes to jail' live-blogIn case you haven't heard, Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to go to jail today (and if you haven't, we want to know what state of obliviousness you've been in; we may want to visit). Lohan's sentencing may very well go exactly according to Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel's plans, blacked-out cameras and all, but at this point, anything can happen. So in an attempt to keep you informed, we plan on updating this blog with pertinent bits of information from Lohan’s sentencing. The 24-year-old actress, who tweeted, “the only ‘bookings’ that i'm familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i'd be ‘booking’ into Jail... eeeks,” is expected to arrive for sentencing Tuesday morning.
11:19 a.m. Lindsay's dad, Michael has arrived at the courthouse, even though she tweeted earlier, "I don't want Michael Lohan Sr. anywhere near me, no matter where I am." According to CNN staff on the scene, he's "somber." 11:31 a.m. Lindsay’s expected to arrive in court around 11:30, so proceedings should kick off soon. Can you imagine being 24 and having the entire world watch as you head off to jail? 11:37 a.m. Here comes Lindsay.... Didn't get a look at what she's wearing, but lots of black. And sunglasses. 11:39 a.m. The media crush outside the court is intense. 11:40 a.m. Apparently someone threw gold glitter on Lindsay on her way in...but for what? Good luck? So she'll stay shining on her way to jail? 11:42 a.m. Judge Revel says Robert Shapiro wanted to inform the court that he wouldn't be the attorney on the case. The court tried to contact Lohan and Shawn Chapman Holley to let them know. 11:43 a.m. Holley said that Shapiro acted as a consultant, but wasn't the attorney on record. Apparently there was some ambiguity, the Judge said. 11:44 a.m. Lohan looks a little surprised, but otherwise she looks ok. 11: 45 a.m. Actually, take that back. She may be on the verge of tears; Judge Revel is ready to remand her. 11:46 a.m. Or maybe not. No tears from Lindsay this time around. Cameras are now blacked out. 11:47 a.m. CNN's Alan Duke says that Lindsay showed little emotion as a deputy put her in handcuffs. 12:00 p.m. Another CNN reporter on the ground said that as Lindsay was leaving, her dad shouted, "We love you Lindsay!" The actress has since gone to the holding area for inmates. Some of you have already given your "see you in 90 days" farewell to Ms. Lohan, but according to CNN reporter Alan Duke, Judge Revel said she has no control over how many of the 90 days she'll be kept in jail. However, Lindsay will have to begin her 90-day stint in rehab within 24 hours of leaving jail, Judge Revel added. 12:02 p.m. Michael Lohan seems to be preparing for a press conference - albeit as someone yells out "loser father!" to him. 12:04 pm. Lindsay didn't head off to jail without some support: There's at least one fellow out there with a "free Lindsay" sign. 12:06 p.m. Lisa Bloom, Michael's attorney, said that his reaction to his daughter being incarcerated is: He spent the morning praying for her, and he's devastated that she's going to jail. He loves his daughter very much and will continue to pray for her. He thinks she didn't deserve to go to jail. And with that, we conclude this live-blog.

They've already reported on the news that she's still gonna get her drugs while in jail. So what is really so different now that she's in jail, other than the fact that she's stuck in an 8 x 12 foot cell? If she was just any other white trash chick going to jail none of us would have even heard of it.

I was born & raised in a drug infected neighborhood, saw thousands die drug related deaths. In my 48 years (11 Sober) have I seen anything like this. No one asked, 'Who sold that OD victim that heroin? He has to go jail!" An addict is an addict. And if they no longer use? He/she will still have dope fiend ways about them. Do you know how many people die every day of drug use? I already learned that no one can help an addict but himself. Took me a long time. Others aren't as fortunate as me. But get over it. If a person wants/needs to use? That's on them. so much hype because celebrities are dying. Where was the system when Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, John Belushi, Lenny Bruce, Chris Farley, Judy Garland, Margaux Hemingway, Howard Hughes, Billy Mays, and the list goes on. It took Michael to die for the system to crack down. Moral Values huh? Double standards if you as me.
Why not blame her grandmother for her mothers faults. What about the girl from Alabama that died in Aruba; we need to spend our time in that case. Leave Lindsey alone we all have problems and they making an example out of her. Clean up our on backyards.

A classic example of someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, where the rules don't apply to them. We all have ones like them in our lives, however, the entertainment world is inundated. The sad truth is those with NPD don't generally rehabilitate, because you would have to ADMIT that you have a problem, and that is impossible for them. Lyndsey will most likely be like this for life, sadly.

If I was the presiding judge, I would have tacked on an additional 30 days for being late. She was told to have turned herself in by 0830, that means exactly that. Be at the courthouse by 0830...Not leaving your house at 0830. Then watching the two SUV's driving down the street. What were they doing, the speed limit or less. WOW. Anything to take her time getting to court. She's a sorry example for others.

Besides, wasn't jail about the best career action P Hilton ever had hppen to her? And LL will come out of jail just about as contrite as Hilton. The only thing worse than being in the tabloids is not being in the tabloids. The last movie I saw Lodan in was Prairie Home Companion, and my dog could have done that part. Much ado about a soon-to-be-B-actress. Hollywood is famous at picking actors for child roles that don't mature into good adult actors. I'm afraid Lodan is one of them. There's just not much to her. Cute as a kid, but pretty un-amazing as an adult. Soon to be seen doing mineral makeup commercials.
u really wanna be alone and pvt when going thru withdrawls though...idk im sure they will medicate her in some wqay..one can die from withdrawls alone...if not one will fell dead ..trust me! so maybe she will like that at first at least .while her body detoxes
i will say this ..when i was looking for real nice rehabs they all ranged from 500 dollars a day to 2500 dollars a day–or for normal non celbs –we get the glorified drunk tanks..i dont have time to explain what they offer and the difference in the 2..so therefore rehab isnt an option to alot of drug dependants that have become that way.it is but the facilities are not that effective etc.. so i dont know how much shes actuall thought about rehab but she certainly has the bucks to get into a nice one thats well trained and facilities and amenities that are a lil more humane and pvt .so i think maybe thats her only falut in my opinion,that she didnt seek or none around her intervened.shes has the money to get well.
The jail can't be that overcrowded if they can give her a single cell?? There must be a number of other non-violent drunk driver types who she can be safely paired with. I don't get the single cell special treatment requirement.

Lindsay has always been surrounded by people that just use her for what she has (money) and now all of a sudden she's this bad person. She has lost her way and when she gets back on track I hope all you pretenders realize this is your fault as well.

She is just a DRUNK who really cares. They make pretty good booze in jailso her liver will be OK.
Prescription drugs are taking people down quicker than guns, seniors are some of the largest number of addicts, all due to lame doctors passing out prescriptions instead of treatment. The problem is, we have people walking around & driving around, that are- what I call "Legal Addicts", and in their mind it's fine because, the doctor have them a srcript.
90 days ....big deal! Read some books, take a time out, then Rehab might mean something to her.

i just wanna say that first of all< let me tell you this.lindsey is and has been thining of one thing about going to jail ,and that is withdrwals.im a former addict and i never had to go to jail .but it was always my worst fear of going their and experiencing withdrawls in a very restrictive enviriment.im not saying her past is ok ..im simply saying that anyone that has never had a drug addiction problem ,then you have no idea what makes an addict .well most of us,,continue to do so..and that is FEAR OF WITHDRAWLS.she cud care less about 2 or 3 weeks in jail .she'll have a bit of special treatment as far as tyhat goes..but its the withdrawls that terrify one.im not sure how much meds she gets in jail .but i pray for hewr and i hope this will start the process for her.

Lindsay needs a time out and one genuine friend that isn't trying to do something to or get something from her. She is being done a life favor by this today. It will give her time to contemplate the what and the why and to come up with other solutions than self medicating through life. She will need further coaching, intervention and monitoring after she gets out to ensure she doesn't fall back into bad habits that got her in this situation. She is going to require cleansing, mind training and a new self discipline she is lacking. She has potential but she needs to focus on her self and her career after she gets out.

It is about time that these BIG SHOTS do the time, she is getting off easy compared to us common people. These entertainers and so on think they are above the law because of their big bucks! I like this, she wont even spend 90 days in JAIL. She will probably do 30-45 and then be let out on good behavior. I wish i had money because us normal people would get 90+. She will get out and do this again.
