Old Spice guy and Alyssa Milano get flirty on Twitter

If you haven’t figured it out yet, one of the best way to get a shirtless video response from Isaiah Mustafa – who, for better or worse, is now known as the “Old Spice guy” – is to address him on Twitter.

And he’s not just paying attention to the regular folk who can’t get close to him now that he’s Emmy-nominated and all – Mustafa has also gotten into a flirty back-and-forth with actress Alyssa Milano.

After Milano tweeted, “GENIUS. Shirtless Old Spice guy replies on Twitter w/ hilarious personalized videos,” noting that her husband is aware that she has a crush on Mustafa – and has taken to wearing Old Spice deodorant – the actor responded wearing his now trademark towel in the bathroom we now all know and love.

Mustafa’s response, which in summary called her tenure on “Who’s the Boss?” the truly genius move, caused Milano to tweet, “my coffee went up my nose.” Mustafa responded again, still in his towel: "Lucky for you, Alyssa, I’m certified in nose CPR.”

Perhaps for Milano, lifeguard humor sounds kinda like flirting. When she asked if Old Spice guy was, in fact, flirting, Mustafa informed her that he wasn’t, just like he wasn’t sending her “fragrantly fragrant” flowers and a “handwritten note from my heart to your doorstep, via my bare feet running over the California mountains.”

Interestingly, he actually did - and Milano took pictures to prove it.

This back-and-forth ended with Old Spice Guy telling Milano on video, “At this point it’s probably obvious to you as it is to me that we are in a long-term committed relationship. And in order for our love-filled trust explosion to continue and prosper, the next step is wildly obvious. To you. Because you’re a woman. So tell me what to do next.”

Milano’s answer?

"You must make a $100,000 donation to the National Wildlife Federation's Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund. Are you strong enough?"

Many things have made this campaign a success. For me, two things stand out. (1) the fact that the producers and Isaiah Mustafa are clearly having a great time; and (2) the simplicity behind the idea – not the original ads, of course, but the video responses.

We have just witnessed what could be a major shift in the way that companies market their products. Look for more ads coming via the 1-2 TV-Intenet combo.

And if Mustafa ever decides to stop acting, he could always get a job teaching public speaking and presentation skills. Check out the Top Ten Public Speaking Lessons that we can learn from him: http://wp.me/pwfa1-YW

Clearly, they are just kidding around people. They communicate via Twitter, not in person. If they were really interested in each other, they would be silent about it, don't ya think? By the way, Alyssa Milano is one of the MOST GORGEOUS women in the world, even as a young child on Who's the Boss......just stunning! SOOOOO JEALOUS! HAHA :):):)

Ummm...I don't think so. Every person in a relationship ends up having a crush with someone else. She's just making use of it for a better cause! 🙂
