One weekend, four celebrity weddingsIt was clearly a lovely weekend for a wedding, as four Hollywood couples proved by getting hitched on Saturday. Wearing a Chantilly lace dress by Monique Lhuillier, country superstar Carrie Underwood, 27, married Ottawa Senators hockey star Mike Fisher, 30, at a luxury resort in Georgia. The sweethearts - whose guest list numbered 250 - will reportedly honeymoon in Bora Bora and Tahiti, reports Us Weekly. "The Devil Wears Prada" star Emily Blunt, 27, wore a Marchesa Bridal custom gown and a Neil Lane 3-carat round diamond and platinum ring for her stroll down the aisle with "The Office" star John Krasinski, 30, at Villa Deste in Lake Como, Italy.
According to Us Weekly, the lovebirds - who began dating in 2008 - had been staying at the nearby villa of Krasinski's "Leatherheads" co-star George Clooney since the July 4 weekend; Clooney and his Italian girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, attended the outdoor affair. Comedian Martin Lawrence, 44, and longtime girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs, 35, made it official with an equally intimate outdoor ceremony at his Beverly Hills home. Following their vows, the newlyweds - whose two daughters served as flower girls - and their 120 guests, including Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington, enjoyed a four-course dinner and a four-tiered cake by Rosebud Cakes in Beverly Hills. Perhaps the most star-powered ceremony was that of actress LaLa Vazquez, 31, and basketball player Carmelo Anthony, 26, whose New York City nuptials drew the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian, and LeBron James. People magazine reports that the couple, whose 3-year-old son, Kiyan, served as ring-bearer, enjoyed a red-themed celebration featuring centerpieces of red Ecuadorian roses, hundreds of candles, a five-tiered white cake decorated with red flowers and thousands of red roses hanging from the ceiling. After exchanging "I do's," Vazquez, who wore Vera Wang, and her Denver Nuggets husband joined their 300 guests for dinner and dancing to a live band. "Best night of my entire life," Vazquez tweeted. "Thank u to all my family and friends who shared tonight with me. I love u. I'm on cloud 9 right now." |
