Former Palin makeup artist gets Emmy nod

It's not a secret that plenty of dollars were dropped during the 2008 presidential campaign to style Sarah Palin, with one of the costliest beauty assets being her makeup artist - but solid talent doesn't come cheap.

The woman behind Palin's picture-ready face during the campaign is none other than Amy Strozzi, who was nominated once again for an Emmy for her work on "So You Think You Can Dance." Strozzi, who was paid $22,800 in the first two weeks of October 2008, according to the New York Times, has been up for the outstanding makeup for a multi-camera series or special twice before.

While a few other places have noted Strozzi's achievements, none have pointed out, as the Atlantic Monthly did, that she's also worked her Emmy-nomination worthy magic on Palin.

Maybe the makeup stylist can write a book about the experience called, "Going Rouge" to compete against Palin's "Going Rogue" for top seller at the Dollar Store.

For more on Sarah Palin, check out how she solved the oil disaster! VERY FUNNY.
