'Toy Story' and 'The Wire' mash-up a hitWho knew toys could be so hardcore? A mash-up of the critically acclaimed HBO drama “The Wire” and scenes from “Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" has been generating almost as much buzz as the newly released “Toy Story 3.” McNulty and some of the gang’s voices out of the mouths of animated toys is pretty funny, though we warn you, the language is for mature audiences only. While the Mash Up was creative, shame on you CNN for posting this. It's full of profanity...A poor excuse for lack of a deeper vocabulary. Do you know how many kids will see this and mimic it. Profanity has it's place. Rare, but at times of severe expression.
CNN, be a little more responsible.

I was a big fan of the Wire, but probably my biggest problem with it was that David Simon didn't have his street level characters display a much more creative and deep vocabulary, as kids at that level often do.

This was horrible, there are much much better mashups out there , check out toy story mixed with reqiuem for a dream, so much better then this garbage.

Hated it. Well not hated 100%. I read through the comments before watching the video – which was funny all by itself. Maybe that's the joke..

Marlo wasn't there because we only did Season 1. Well, not 100% season 1.
For everyone who thought it wasn't funny.. Just don't comment.. This was posted bc they liked it so feel free to just post the positive. But in my opinion, I'm not big on the wire (I know about it loosely) and am big on toy story, and still found it funny. That's preetty pretty good.

I agree with Bob. It's those who are defending this that have the stick up their ass, and not the ones using the word "trite."
I agree with all the comments that have been posted thus far about the idea being solid but the execution lacking. Save yourself the minute-and-a-half. Fight against pointless, brainless Youtube ephemera.

I love the wire. A lot. Watched it through 4 times, and have probably done the same with everything David Simon has been involved in. This, however, is awful. Perhaps had it been made more carefully, it would have been okay, as the concept as decent. But its not sync'd up. there is no continuity. Its hack, uninspired, and most of all... not funny.
But we had Mr. Potato Head as Bunk!

Interesting, but far from the best mashup of a trailer with other audio. That's a whole sub genre of video.
Exactly. I thought the Toy Story 3 mashup with the Inception trailer was FAR funnier.
That was not funny. Maybe because I don't know toy story. The wire to me is something that does not need to be messed with. It is a pure form thing. And this video just destroyed that for me. That is weird too since I like family themed entertainment.
