Kristen Stewart, action star?Looks like Kristen Stewart is desperate for some action - on the big screen, of course. In recent weeks the actress has had her name attached to two heart-pounding Hollywood thrillers currently in the works: "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Wanted 2." Based on Swedish novelist Stieg Larsson's book trilogy, "Tattoo" tells the story of a computer hacker who is recruited to help find a missing woman. While Stewart, 20, is definitely interested in tackling the hacker role, her schedule might make it a mission impossible.
"I think I'm going to be working," Stewart - who has not yet met with "Tattoo" director David Fincher - told MTV News. "I'm booked for, like, the next six months, but it's an incredible project. I hope someone really cool does it, because I can't wait to see it. But I don't know if it's going to be me." Still, she notes, "Who knows? Movies push all the time." Stewart is equally optimistic about replacing Angelina Jolie as the new fierce female in "Wanted 2." " 'Wanted' was a great movie," she told MTV News of the first flick, adding that she's game for joining James McAvoy for the adrenaline-packed sequel. "Definitely," she said. "As long as it was really good." Can you picture Stewart in either of those roles?

No, Lisbeth needs to be an actress who resembles the Swedish actress who played her in the Swedish movies – not an americanized version – Though I thought the swedish movies missed out huge parts of the book, on this parts it used, they stayed very true to the actual novels.
I am very afraid of how the American Versions will come out, as they always overdramatize and are too far away from the books they supposedly portray.
No. I can't see her in either part plus I'm sick of her ruining movies. Before all you Twi fans get nasty if you look at Box Office Mojo, Kristen has made 16 movies and only three have been profitable (Twi). I didn't count Panic Room because that was all Jodie most people thought the kid was a boy. Now, Kristen is going to ruin On The Road.

Kristen needs to use the last two Twilight movies to show us that she is confident and strong in her interviews if she ever hopes to be an action star. The bumbling shy girl might work if she's playing a female Clark Kent, but it won't work any other way. Kristen also doesn't seem to be very physical, and you definitely need to be physical to play an action star in a movie. So, like I said, Kristen needs to change her image in Breaking Dawn's round of interviews.

Has she ever played in an action movie before? I am interested to see how it turns out-maybe she just might be able to mold into another character besides Bella? If she fails in this movie-I guess we'll know for sure if she is a horrible actress-I just think so far she's played similar characters
She is really "scary looking". I don't think she's a good role model.
People say that Kristen has tics yeah duh she has them because of the character Bella.

Anything that will make people forget Twilight will be good for her. Sure it's popular now, but its main audience will reach an age soon when they'll become more discerning and realize how bad these films really are.

I enjoy reading reviews and people's comments about movies. I reckon Ashley Greene would make a suitable American Lisbeth Salander, or Natalie Portman? Maybe Megan Fox for Angelina Jolie's role?
I agree with Jaye and JD. I've heard KS talk about how she always puts everything into her acting but there's just one problem: her acting stinks, big time. And she does have the annoying tic's. I do not believe that getting more years under her belt is going to improve her acting skills. You either have it or you don't.
To all that thinks that she can't act has obviously not seen her in The Cake Eaters, Speak or Into the Wild. Twilight isn't her first or her last rodeo.
She did amazing in The Cake Eaters. It's one of my favorite movies. She literally had to starve herself for that role. That's a true dramatist right there. I will admit, The Twilight Saga is not her best performance, but in reality, if anybody else had played the role of Bella, they would have gotten the same criticism. Bella's part is hard to play.

I don't know why she has no expression on her face in her movies, doesn't the director see that??? The lip biting snorting or huffing or whatever she's doing is annoying. I accepted that was Bella in Twilight series, but she does it in other movies. She seems to think she works so hard and put everything into her performance, maybe that is the problem, she is internalizing it too much and it never makes it to her facial expressions or voice inflections.
Don't kill the movie with her, she can't even act. She and bella are the same, she plays all her roles as bella
At first when I saw twilight, I thought KS was just a terrible actress. But now.... i KNOW she's a terrible actress. I can't tell if KS is being emo Bella in real life, or if she's just so bad that Bella is nothing more than KS everyday.

Is there something wrong with KS's mouth...I've never seen a picture of her with her mouth closed. Or is that something her and the rest of the twilight cast learned in the Zoolander school of acting?
I'm sorry to hurt any "twi-hards" feelings but KS sucks. She is a terrible actress if you can even call her that, She shouldn't even play Bella in my opinion, she does have way to many "tics" that she needs to work on. If you saw Twilight she freakin twitched the entire movie, it made Bella seem like she was on drugs...anyways she couldn't/ shouldn't be allowed to fill Jolie's shoes, Jolie is badass and can pull off that character because she's a good actress, KS not so much.

she could barely pull off the one-dimensional character of bella in twilight. i don't think she's cut out to replace jolie. she's just not that strong of an actress.
She's definitely hot but she always looks like she needs to take a dump. Either that or she never learned how to smile at Rocky Columbo's School of Acting.

I'm not sure I believe that Stewart has the acting cops to pull off Lisbeth Salander. And I'm sure that she would be doing herself a disservice by trying to step into Jolie's shoes in the Wanted sequel.
Of course, I also don't think there is a need to remake The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in English.
I am a total Twilight fan, and yet I agree with you. Kristen Stewart does not have the chops to pull off either movie. One bite of her lip or exhaled breath through her nose & she would be Kristen, not the character. She needs a few more years under her belt to overcome her "tics". She just need to season a little more...
Kristen Stewart should not be cast in any movie. To me she appears to have no acting talent at all. She always has one look on her face with no emotion what so ever. I've seen her in a couple of other movies other than the twilight movies and again same unemotional look on her face throughout the entire movie. Please dont let her ruin good movies with her bad acting.

OMG Stewart needs some serious acting classes before she goes for any other role. Her acting has absolutely no depth. I love the Twilight books but watching her in the movies it's like they added a zombie to the story.
I love Stewarts performance in Wanted 2. I think she has what it takes to play more demanding characters in block buster films. Thumbs up kristen.
Yes, there was a Swedish language version film that came out, but HW is americanizing it. And please do not let Kristin Stewart ruin the character of Lisbeth Salander. She is one of the strongest heroines in recent fiction and I don't believe Stewart could possibly carry off the complexities of this character.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was just made into a movie. I saw it in a theater about a month ago. Ms. Stewart is definitely not in it.
You saw the Swedish version, not the American version
A US production company bought the rights to re-make all 3 movies in english and they are even talking about changing the story line!
I think she'd be interesting in either one. But Carey Mulligan is still best for TGWTDT. Would love to see Kristen do a "smart" action movie. She's badass.
Um Kristen said The Girl with the dragon tattoo & Wanted 2 were false rumors. She's not doing those plus she is already booked for her new movie On The Road & Breaking Dawn. Your article is twisting her words.
