'The Game' star glad to be back to workPooch Hall would like to thank BET and fans for getting him his old job back. “The Game” actor is in Miami to promote his new film “Stomp the Yard: Homecoming” at the American Black Film Festival, and he took a moment to tell CNN how excited he is that BET has resurrected the canceled CW show. “What, ‘The Game’ is coming back,” joked Hall, who stars as football player Derwin Davis on the show. “No, seriously the fans really wanted the show to not end so I’m grateful to them and BET for bringing it back.”
“The Game” followed the exploits of a group of professional football players and their loved ones. The show gathered a strong fan base among young African-Americans and many of them took to the Internet to complain when the CW canceled it in 2009. Almost a year later, BET announced it had reached a deal with the show’s parent company, Paramount, to resurrect “The Game” and begin producing new episodes. The show is slated to begin re-airing later in 2010. (The American Black Film Festival is sponsored in part by HBO, which is also owned by CNN's parent company.) |

Nice to see a show get a chance to come back, and it's always great when the networks pay attention to a strong fanbase and gives them what they want. Kudos to BET and CBS for making it happen.
So glad to have The Game back!! I love that show!!! Wonder why the article had to state that race as their fan base. It was my favorite & I'm not young or black.
Oh, so this is about the show... the other day it was about a rapper.
They are bringing back the game. I liked that show. I just wish another show, girlfriends, could be back on air. But I will take what I can get. Thank you BET.
