Eva Longoria-Parker is the latest to join the long list of Hollywood stars with reality shows.
While filming her indie comedy "Without Men" in Ventura, California, on Tuesday, the "Desperate Housewives" actress told CNN her production company is working on a new reality show based on her restaurant, Beso, that will appear on Vh1.
But the actress, whose restaurants can be found in Hollywood and Las Vegas, won't be the star. "It will follow the employees that work at my restaurant. I'm not in it that much. I'm married and old now," Longoria-Parker joked.
The news couldn't have come at a busier time. Last month she was in France for the Cannes Film Festival, this week she's filming her indie comedy "Without Men" and next month she'll return to the set of "Desperate Housewives" to shoot season seven. Longoria-Parker also manages to fit her marriage into her schedule. "My husband [Tony Parker] has been on set with me all week," she said. "It's been great! He's so supportive."
Talk to Longoria-Parker long enough and you will see she's not just another pretty diva; this is a woman for whom acting is just a stepping stone to get what she really wants, and that's more quality time behind the camera instead of in front of it.
"I love producing. I love the business aspect of it," she said. "We have so many beautiful stories in the Latin community that I think should be told, and I really would like to focus on trying to bring some of those stories to light now."
