Kate Gosselin dating show? Not happeningKate Gosselin may be single and open to mingling - she told People in January that she wasn't "ruling out" finding someone new after her divorce - but that doesn't mean she's getting her own dating show. A report in Life & Style suggests that Gosselin has been "working on a deal to do a new reality dating series on ABC," and could possibly end up as the next "Bachelorette." It's not the first time rumors of Gosselin heading to ABC to find herself a man have emerged - “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that people have asked him about the possibility of Gosselin becoming the next "Bachelorette" as well.
“[Gosselin] said she would never do [‘The Bachelorette’], and then somebody asked me about it, and I said I don’t remember ever asking her to do the show. But I followed that up by saying, ‘From all I hear she’s actually a lovely woman and as nice as can be and I think that would be a phenomenal show,' " Harrison said. Seacrest agreed that the idea was “genius,” adding that if ABC isn’t trying to get Kate, they should start. But, according to Gosselin’s rep, there’s not a stitch of truth in the dating show rumors. “She doesn’t want to do a dating show; she was never going to do a dating show,” the rep said. “She’s very busy at work on her ‘Kate Plus 8’ specials and ‘Twist of Kate.’ Plus, you know, being a mom to 8 kids.

Her 15 minutes was up a long time ago. Nobody watched that crap anyway.
Please listen to the public- we don't care about this women. We didn't watch John and Kate. The only people who watched that are people amused by card tricks.

I pay good money for cable Tv and am so sick of these reality shows about a drama queen with too many offsprings she doesn't know what to do! Give her the "shoe"! Come on- this is NOT entertainment! This is money hungry networks that don't deliver what they are paid for!
Change the channel or cancel your cable..........Someone must be watching or they wouldn't have the shows they have on. Like you said, they are there to make money..........

Just read something that caught my eye......Yes where are Kates parents, uncles, brothers, sisters, etc? You have never heard of them through out the show of Kate & Jon plus 8. Basically you never heard the kids say gramp or gramma. What is this world coming too, No morels and no family backgrounds. I am glad I am old enough not to see what happens 20 years down the line when these 8 kids grow up. I beleive there are some hard times coming for Kate in the years to come that she will regret some on the things she has done with her children during their young lives.
I agree she will have regrets.........I would like to meet one person that doesn't when it's all said and done, but she is doing the best she can and I admire her for that. Jon is the one that will hopefully one day really regret leaving his family. I also agree that Kate treated him bad sometimes, but that is no excuse to leave your family. You work through the problems (that is what commitment means) that you are committed to seeing this through. I think Kate knows she treated him bad at times and she regrets that. Hind sight is 20/20, but he gave up and should have stayed and gone to counseling with his wife to try to save his marriage. I really feel sorry for the kids........they are the ones to pay for all the mistakes their parents make. But like I said, we all make them, and someday all 8 kids will be making mistakes with their kids.......and on and on and on.................

I have to worry about bills and if I can afford braces etc. Ya her kids are suffering so, living in a million dollar house, getting excellent health coverage, braces no problem, college funds, get to have there mom home, go on awesome vacations in VIP style!!! John is a loser maybe she would of nag him if he step up to the plate and help her!! NO he goes off dating women 1/2 his age , living the single life when Kate is left with raising the kids. It is America if she wants 8 more then she can have them she did not know her husband was going to cheat and leave her and the kids.
I love you Kate and I think you are a strong and independent woman and Man can stand that!! A woman who can make it on her own and doing the best she can for her children!!!! When is she going to finally start put being a mom ahead of her shows. I thank GOD I have the mom I have. As soon as she found out she was pregnant with 6 she saw dollar signs. If she would have stayed true to herself that would have been one thing. But when you completely change who you are and put your life ahead of your kids there's a problem.
Also she had trouble conceiving in the begining with the twins. Why not be happy with the two you have? Selfish selfish selfish. For all those that say god blessed them with these children they are wrong. The medical precedure blessed them not god. This wasn't natural!

Why do people complain about this, I don't see anyone complaining about all the Hollywood star mom's. They party and travel around the world with nanny's or even better don't even bring the kids with them, yet thats ok????? Also where are all the people complaining about Sport stars who spend months on the road and then cheat and ruin the family at home????? I say let the person who is the best parent in the world and does no wrong throw the first stone. People make mistakes. I think she learned from them after watching herself and how she treated Jon. After everything that has happened, I give her a great deal of credit to keep putting herself out there to support her 8 Children. THey will all go to great college's, and it's not like she is raising serial killers! If you ask me she is doing a great job!

I watched like 5 minutes of her new show. All I can say is boring!! I feel bad for those kids but it is horrible. She is constantly looking for the extra $$$. While in Sea world she is talking about how pretty her daughter looked with the sting rays and that she should be the poster child for them, Sorry but it was much better when it was real life, real family with real problems.

If this woman was taking proper care of her litter of children, she wouldn't have time to date. She needs to be sewn up to ensure she doesn't breed again. I'm sick of seeing irresponsible families having kids they can't afford to raise. Her exhusband has a trust set up so the 20k child support each month yet she whines avout being a single mom that is only working to support her children. In fact she loves the attention and does things that are unnecessary to put food on the table. She could write her book from home. How much more than 20k a month does she need? Perhaps a tighter budget than she's used to, but many thrive with much less than that. She does these stupid tv bits because she loves the camera and the free stuff she gets. I guess she doesn't care that the kids are more bonded to their nanny than to their mom.
I don't blame Jon for dumping Kate. She emotionally abused him daily in front of their children. Her kids are already damaged from witnessing that. Any man who would want to date and marry the hot mess that Kate has become would have to be one heck of a hot mess as well.

The funny thing is that I can thing of a dating-style show with her that I WOULD watch.
Every date is a blind date...the guy shows up and sees that it's Kate waiting for him...then she gets $1 for every minute that the guy spends with her before he flees in horror.
They could even put Jon to work, interviewing the rattled and shaken guys afterwards.

After months of reading the hateful comments concerning Kate, I think it's about time I sound off. Sounds like to me that bunches of you are extremely jealous of her to continue to bash her. I didn't know Kate from Eve when the news broke about her and Jon's split. I watched her on DWTS. She and many more before her didn't know the first thing about dancing. Good for her for trying. I hope her well on ANYTHING she does because she needs to help support eight kids...EIGHT KIDS! How many of you have that kind of responsiblity.Try raising that many and see if you are smiling and pleasant all of the time! We as humans have limits and the stress of all that responsiblity can take it's toll. I chose to give her a break while also supporting her ex. Personally I hope that Jon get's himself together long enough to REALLY help in the upbringing of HIS children. I watched the new show and found her to be a great example to others raising kids. She appeared to be loving and stern when needed. All of you who "claim" you don't watch her sure do have strong opinions about her...Maybe all of you non-ugly (?) people should consider going into show business! I'm thinking of the children and wishing bad things for either parent will only hurt the kids. Good luck Kate...I'm routing for you!
Kate is a horrible person. She is living off her kids, extorting her ex-husband, and leaching off her 'fame'. There is nothing wonderful, nor graceful about that person. Jealous of her? No. Wish I could actually bring myself to her level to make that kind of money? Sure. Sadly, I have morals!

Besides my mom raised 3 kids BY HERSELF. No roof. No shelter. No money from dad (who left). NOTHING. She dropped out of high school at age 16 to raise us. She always wondered when the next meal would be. She juggled 3-4 jobs at once. This woman needs to drop the pity party. I was 5 (the youngest), my brother was 6, and my oldest sister was 10 when she found my stepdad and finally got some of the burden off of her shoulders.

Every episode was just her berating and belittling her husband while lamenting about how hard it was to have eight kids. Never mind the fact that they had nannies, bodyguards, helping hands, etc.
If you had watched THAT show you would also know that she IS not a great mother and what you are seeing in the new show is just ACTING. She is a horrible mother. Jon is the positive, supportive parent. He is the one who comforts the kids when they're crying, compliments them on their achievements, etc.
Kate was always too busy getting her hair cut, getting free boob jobs, wrangling more free stuff out of others, or just standing on camera and yelling at everyone, but mostly Jon, and complaining.....always, always complaining about her lot in life...a lot she chose when she opted to take fertility treatments.
The woman is the closest thing on earth to pure evil...except, of course, for Sarah Palin.

Please do not place on the list of working mothers. There's a big differences between Kate and the real working mothers. She is just jet sit and leaving the kids with nannies. The kids would be better off with their father and having a normal life than having their face all over the TV every night. Kate doesn't need a body guard the kids do!

Why are people so bothered by Kate. She is no different than any mom that is in show business. She has to work. Some people like her and some don't. Just because she works does not make her a bad mom, or what does that say about a lot of moms. If you don't like her, don't watch her just like you would any show you don't like. Let her work to support her kids since obviously she is not going to get much if any help from Jon. She takes the critisizm and just keeps going because that is what she has to do to make a living. There is not one person out there that would not do the same thing if put in her shoes....or at least I hope any mom would do what she had to do to support her family. She can't make enough money being a nurse to feed and care for 8 kids. I think her kids will look back someday and realize what a great mom they had that would do anything for her kids! It's the "families" money. Jon and Kate have bothe provided VERY well for them. How many families of 8 do you know of that can go on vacation every other month? Or live in a wonderful home that the kids love? They hurt for nothing, except maybe a father that lives with them. It is a fact that Jon has been paying Kate nearly $22,000 per month in child support. That is over $250,000 per year. So please get your facts straight. Is a quarter of a million in yearly support enough for you? He is not a dead beat Dad by any means. Also, Kate made a half million on DWTS. So know we know her yearly income is now 3/4 of a million. But wait, Kate has 2, yes 2, new TLC shows this year. So add at least another 1/2 million if not 3/4 a million. Then add the millions in the past few years that Jon and Kate earned on "Jon and Kate Plus 8" tv show that had over 120 episodes. Plus Kate has 3 books published (all about her kids) and a contract for a fourth book. All of them are with Zondervan. Then don't forget the NUMEROUS very expensive vacations, free kitchen make-over, free landscaping, etc. from TLC. Then Jon and Kate went to churches and spoke and passed the collection plate a few years ago. They made big money for speaking less than an hour. Then thet earned big money for all the product placements. In summary, Kate is a multi-millionaire. She has earned every penny off the back of her 8 small kids. Do your kids work for you? Do your kids have work-permits to film? I don't think so. Kate doesn't HAVE TO work. Again, Kate is a multi-millionaire and Jon is not a dead beat Dad. Kate needs to stay home, down-size her lifestyle and be a mother to her kids and STOP using them for fame and fortune.

Same here, Karl. I gave up the show til she was gone. And if "The Bachelorette" franchise was dumb enough to feature her, I would swear that show off permanently. I won't watch ANY show she's on, and that includes "The View". Even they panned her when she was on DWTS.
Enough stories about this woman. What has she ever done? She has 8 children...so what, my Grandmother gave birth to 10 and they never did a show about her. And my Grandma raised them, not handed them over to a nanny while she was off pretending to be some sort of star.

What is the obsession with this woman? I could see maybe if she was smoking hot, but she's not. She's not really even cougar hot, I've seen much better looking older women at bars than her. What little I've seen of her on tv is enough for me, her personality seems poor. I also think that anyone who wants to date her should have to watch the first 20 seconds of that paparazzi dance she did on dancing with the stars before being allowed to continue. That part of television has literally haunted my dreams.
