Kate Gosselin may be single and open to mingling - she told People in January that she wasn't "ruling out" finding someone new after her divorce - but that doesn't mean she's getting her own dating show.
A report in Life & Style suggests that Gosselin has been "working on a deal to do a new reality dating series on ABC," and could possibly end up as the next "Bachelorette."
It's not the first time rumors of Gosselin heading to ABC to find herself a man have emerged - “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that people have asked him about the possibility of Gosselin becoming the next "Bachelorette" as well.
“[Gosselin] said she would never do [‘The Bachelorette’], and then somebody asked me about it, and I said I don’t remember ever asking her to do the show. But I followed that up by saying, ‘From all I hear she’s actually a lovely woman and as nice as can be and I think that would be a phenomenal show,' " Harrison said.
Seacrest agreed that the idea was “genius,” adding that if ABC isn’t trying to get Kate, they should start.
But, according to Gosselin’s rep, there’s not a stitch of truth in the dating show rumors. “She doesn’t want to do a dating show; she was never going to do a dating show,” the rep said. “She’s very busy at work on her ‘Kate Plus 8’ specials and ‘Twist of Kate.’ Plus, you know, being a mom to 8 kids.
