Robert Pattinson: I'm a bit old-fashioned

With the promotional walk-up to “Eclipse” in full-swing (and no end in sight until June 30), it feels like Robert Pattinson has been talking for the past 24 hours straight; he hasn’t read “Breaking Dawn,” (poor kid has no idea what he’s in for); he’d like to go on a date; it’s the anticipation of sex that makes “Twilight” so sexy.

The 24-year-old actor isn’t done yet. In an interview with Parade magazine, Pattinson once again touched on “Twilight’s” take on sex, and he said that he understands why his character, Edward, is staunchly against sealing the deal with his human love, Bella.

“Edward is old fashioned. Nowadays, everyone just goes around screwing everyone for no reason,” Pattinson told Parade. “I guess Edward doesn't really want to sort of cheapen his relationship with Bella, even though she's pushing him to go all the way. He's got this certain idea of how it should go with the love of his life. He wants to do it right and not just follow his base instincts. I guess I'm a bit old fashioned in that way as well."

In the end, though, Kristen Stewart brings more of herself to her character, Bella, than he does, the actor said. “She's not the Bella I imagined from reading the books in which she was much more of a damsel in distress. Kristen's quite a lot tougher, which I like. I'm really sort of constantly working to get into my character and it just seems to come much more naturally to Kristen."

One thing that did come more naturally to Pattinson this time around was the kissing scenes.

"Kissing felt a little bit more natural in Eclipse, even if there was plenty of it. In "New Moon"and "Twilight" it was always like, 'Oh, I'm gonna kill you if I kiss you' or something. But, in this one, they both understand their situation a lot more, which makes it easier. It's the first time Kristen and I have been able to just act like a normal couple," he said.

Is that because he and Stewart are dating? Of course, Pattinson isn't saying.

"I guess people like stories, that's my basic conclusion," he told the magazine. "They just want everything in our lives to be like 'Twilight.' The truth is...that I wish I had a few more hours of sleep today so I could think of a better answer."

He usually gives such nice interviews. Very down to earth. There are pockets of irrational hatred for the guy, and I don't understand why. I'm not a fan of Twilight, but did like him in Remember Me and How to Be. He definitely can act. It really helps that he's very nice looking too :o)

Okay Twi fans, Robert says he is old fashion. Whereas Kristen is a druggy, likes threeways and is downright trashy! Do you really think they belong together?

Seriously Peggy? What is this comment based on? Do you personally know her and know all the private parts of her life. She's a 19 year old kid, you people should know better.
