Lady Gaga has once again reached into her usual bag of controversial tricks for the nearly 9 minute long music video for "Alejandro," and some have found it to be distasteful, including, maybe, Katy Perry.
Because of a suspiciously timed tweet sent out yesterday, Katy Perry has been accused of bad-mouthing Gaga. The "I Kissed a Girl" singer tweeted Tuesday, “Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."
Some have taken that as a remark referring to Gaga's somewhat depressing video, in which she uses plenty of religious imagery, including dropping a rosary into her mouth while wearing a nun’s habit.
So to recap: Perry is against blasphemy, but a bra that spews white cake icing? That’s a go, as seen in a clip from Perry’s upcoming music video for “California Gurls."
