Though Katy Perry shot a smooching scene with fiancé Russell Brand for his smash hit comedy "Get Him to the Greek," their lip-lock never made it into the film.
“It got cut!” Perry, who filmed the cameo last summer, confirmed to MTV Movie News. “I was like, 'I'm sleeping with you, and you're not gonna put me in the movie? That's so messed up!'"
The problem? “Her acting was so atrocious that it ruined the film. It ruined it,” Brand, 34, jokingly told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. “It just made the film boring and rubbish.”
In truth, the producers simply wanted to keep the couple’s reel life separate from their real life.
Explained Perry, 26, "If you saw me and Russell making out, although it'd be cute to, 'cause that was the first moment we met, [it would feel like,] 'There's Russell Brand in the movie,' not Aldous Snow, and they want it to be Aldous Snow, [so it's] completely understandable."
But don’t feel blue for Perry – she’ll voice the part of Smurfette in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the cartoon classic "The Smurfs."
