'American Idol' Season Nine finale beginsLooks like we made it. Look how far we've come, my babies. That was my homage to Shania "I Think She'd Be a Better Judge Than Kara DioGuardi" Twain. The show just began, and I suspect that we are in for at least an hour's worth of lovefest for Simon Cowell.
I am still in denial that he is leaving. I mean, I still haven't gotten over the loss of Paula Abdul. By the end of this evening, we will have our new "American Idol" winner, either Crystal "MamaSox" Bowersox or Lee DeWyze. Thank you, Chicago, for our finalists. Right out the gate, I hear the words "paint salesman." Lord knows I will miss that (not!) May the best guitarist/singer/songwriter win!

How many American Idols can America have?
Only one winner Carry. The rest suck.
If the judges would not have "downed" Lee on Tuesday and had nothing but praise (deserved) for Crystal. I feel Crystal would have won. A lot of voters think . I'll show those judges. They all clearly wanted Crystal to win.l
Idol FINALLY got it right!!
I bet you Crystal will have the bigger career. She is one of a kind and he is cut from cardboard. I like Lee, but Crystal is the better performer and will go farther. Good luck to both of them.

But where was David Cook?
I was wondering the same thing – why wasn't David Cook there???
Where was Clay Aikin in the line up of past winners??!!!! Wasn't he having a feud with IDOL??

Clay was a runner up to Rubien. He was not a winner.
