Comedy Central has decided not to renew “The Sarah Silverman Program” for a fourth season, a spokesperson for the network confirmed to CNN.
Although Comedy Central didn't elaborate with a reason, a similar outcome was on the horizon last year when the network wanted to tighten Silverman’s budget, causing Silverman and her executive producers to threaten to quit over the dispute. In the end, Logo ended up picking up part of the tab for Silverman’s third season, with some of the episodes airing at midnight on the network.
