Amy Winehouse takes a tumble
"Amy tripped and fell at home," spokeswoman Tracey Miller said. "She bruised her ribs and also suffered a cut above her eye." The 26-year-old singer "is recovering and expected to be fine," she said.
The accident comes as Winehouse is working to get her life and music career back on track. Winehouse - famous for her retro, soulful R&B sound - is working on a third album. She gained fame with a string of hits including "Rehab," "Back to Black" and "Tears Dry on Their Own." Winehouse has reportedly been seeing ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil in recent weeks, despite their divorce last year. People.com reported last week they celebrated his 28th birthday together at a London bar.

London (CNN) - Amy Winehouse took a spill over the weekend, sending her to a London clinic for medical treatment, her publicist said Tuesday.

I fear to think what her voice sounds like now after 6+ years of constant crack abuse.
She didn't have Whitney's soprano to ruin, but I'm pretty sure she won't be belting out "Tears Dry on their own" and hitting the notes again.

Amy Winehouse has talent, her voice is different and she could go a long way. Give up the narcotics and the booze Amy, and then its smooth sailing. Stop hurting yourself to get in the news. Do something positive to make everyone aware that you are still out there. Take care chunky.

The poor girl needs to find something about herself that she likes. Her slow suicide mission has been going on for so long, and stints at rehab won't do it.
Clearly, hooking up with drug addled ex husband gives her a sense of being needed, being any good, but unfortunately it comes at a cost of acquiring a serious drug habit.

Oh, no – a musician known for excessive and tasteless behavior – how shocking. She is positively mainstream. The more she screws up the more people will pay attention. That's why Lady Gaga is starting to lose traction: she doesn't have any scandals going on. Britney Spears shaved her head and flashed her poot and got more PR than if she had actually been doing anything musically. It's part of the job.

Are reporters now reduced to reporting trivial information about celebrities?? For example when someone trips and falls in their own home? Amy is an awesome singer and has turned in some great performances. I really hope she gets herself together before, as mimz said, she turns into Whitney, or God forbid dies. It took Whitney a lot of years to wreck her voice, so maybe Amy can save herself from that. My feeling is that staying clear of Blaaake and maybe making so 12-step meetings might be a good start, but that's just me.

I don't like her depressing music and I'm not one of her fans. She's a terrible role model. As long as she's hanging out and seeing her druggie ex, there's no hope for her. She'll be back drunk and drugged before you know it. It's only a matter of time before she meets the same fate as so many other "stars" who overdosed. She obviously has no self-esteem or self-respect.
Only if and when she finds God and allows HIM to work in her life, will there is hope for her.
