'24' no more?

We're reaching out to Fox for comment/confirmation now, but "this just in" – a tweet from "24" executive producer Jon Cassar:

News from the 24 set,the crew has been told that 24 has come to an end. There will b no season 9. Its been a great run, thanx all 4 watching.

If it's true, will Jack, Chloe and the gang be hitting the silver screen before too long?

9 season is enough. time to move on and test your real acting skills 🙂 Love them all, but how many times do we need to have car chases that end up with buildings blowing up? It has run it's course, and it has been a wonderful ride! Thanks for taking us along.

Can anybody honestly say that the show is still up to par with the first few seasons. The shows layout is stale. The only thing different from this season and the last 5 is the location. Surprise surprise, there was a double agent at CTU, didn't see that coming

Great show, but has become the latest 'Prison Break'. Kept recycling nuclear threats....

Would like to see a movie, though...would be a good one...

24 was a great show when it started out, but the originality vanished after the third season. There's only so many ways the United States can be imperiled and I don't know how many times we've recycled nuclear as a threat. If true, thanks for the memories Jack.

Oh No!!!! they can`t do that. This show is as exciting as a Jason Bourne movie!!! Maybe they will be on the silver screen in the near future. That would be a movie I would go to.

No other show can supercede 24. I am not sure why FOX is cancelling it. IT ihas been and is the best show ever created. So many of us are saddened by this decision. I refuse to watch television once 24 concludes. Furthermore, "Human Target" definitely needs to go; it is the worst series ever, no comparison to 24.
