Taking a cue from another hit Fox franchise, the cast of “Glee” is taking their show on the road.

On Monday, the network announced “Glee Live! In Concert!” a four-city tour starring the cast. The group will bring hit covers from the show like “Don’t Stop Believin' ” and “Somebody to Love” to performances in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

In a press release, the Golden Globe-winning show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy said he was bowing to the will of the Gleeks who love the series about the adventures of McKinley High School’s glee club.

“The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person,” Murphy said. “And what show lends itself more to a concert than ‘Glee’? We can’t wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn’t be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities.”

The “Glee” concert will include song and dance numbers by stars Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt).

“American Idol” also offers a series of live concerts – though it reaches more cities – featuring the previous season’s contestants. The "Glee" concerts will start in May with tickets going on sale the first week of March.
