'The Bachelor': Falling for you and you and ...

We're now down to five women and one RV, as we head up the California coast to San Francisco for the last stop on the road trip.  Tonight's episode features three one-on-one and a single two-on-one date, with one woman eliminated at the end of the episode.

The first one-on-one goes to Tenley, and she and Jake take a private trolley ride to Chinatown.  Alas, no Rice-a-Roni for the couple as they board the trolley.

While in Chinatown, Jake and Tenley act like a bad, fast-paced sequence from a '80s teen comedy - trying on hats, writing fortunes for fortune cookies, etc. All this needed was Oingo Boingo music to make it complete.

Jake says Tenley is "really passionate."  He also tells her that cheating is a choice, and he won't make that choice - sometimes called "refusing to Edwards."

The two bring out the fortunes they wrote in Chinatown.  Both say "kiss me," and they do just that.  Maybe they should start writing my fortunes - all I get are messages about traveling great distances.

Vienna and Gia are picked for the two-on-one, and they head to a castle in a Napa Valley vineyard - there's that "Sideways" fascination again.  Jake says he's nervous about dating two women at once - no wonder he eliminated both women at the cabin.

Vienna says Jake has her "shaking in her pants" - not sure what that means.  She wants plenty of time with Jake, and that includes walking around the castle, seemingly for hours on end, and finding shirtless Jake in bed.  She gets in the bed, and toasts Jake with an adult beverage.  Jake feels awkward about this, and Vienna returns to the room she shares with Gia, unsure what she did was right.

Corrie is the next one-on-one date, and she and Jake take a rowboat ride through the park.  Jake can't figure out Corrie, and why it's going so slow with her.  Corrie says she's an open book, and would love to be in Dallas with Jake, who respects that she wants to "save herself" before marriage.

Corrie really sees herself being engaged to Jake at the end. Yes, Corrie, you and the other women.

The last one-on-one is with Ali, who wants to show Jake "her hometown," which the show claims is Williamstown, Massachusetts, but Ali says is San Francisco.  She really needs to check that application form to the letter.

The two head to a flower stand, where Ali expresses her love for daisies.  However, there doesn't seem to be any to choose from.  Oops!

Jake asks Ali what a typical Sunday is like for her.  If I understood what she says, her day consists entirely of checking e-mail and having breakfast or brunch.  Jake then asks Ali about her issues with Vienna - she says she may not see eye-to-eye with Vienna, but is ready to let go of the problem and move on.

At the rose ceremony, Jake admits to falling for all five women, but that he must find the strength to eliminate one of them.  He does, and it's Corrie.  Jake says he can't ignore the fact that it took Corrie so long to open up to him, and he feared she'd never open up fully.  Corrie admits that she may have put up a wall between her and Jake.

Next week, it's the hometown dates and no rose ceremony!  Will the florist be fired?

What did you think of this week's episode of "The Bachelor"?

YUP.. Just u wait and see... Ali doesnt like Vienna (as Kevin put it-Goliath shoulders.. LMAO) , so she chooses to leave the show. I like Gia, but think she was only on it to further her career, haven't seen much of her in swimsuit issues.. She was in Maxim yr ago.. Tenley to me would be better for him in my opinion, but her voice is annoying, her tip of her tongue never leaves the bottom of her front teeth when she speaks.. I bet Vienna is from money, and maybe that attracts Jake, who knows. I just cant wait to find out if the "inside source is correct on the order of who leaves... Ali.. Gia.. Down to Tenly & Vienna.. And Vienna wins.. If so, she could get a gig on maybe a second Spartans Spoof Movie as a gladiator.. 🙂

  2. Really?

Ali leaves for "work related reasons". He picks Vienna in the end. It's lame.

Jake must of studied Jason from last season. The Line you're amazing! Jake is so dull he can't even think of a good line for himself. Jason told every girl you're amazing and now Jake. How boring.

I can't believe Jake got rid of a Virgin. She would of been a great Wife. That Tenley is a poor mans Jennifer Aniston "very poor" No likey. Vienna has bigger shoulders than Goliath. But in part i think Jake likes her because he thinks she'll bring out the best in him. Shes hot blooded out going with alot of pep.. Jake is dull so he thinks she'll be good for him to bring out something he lacks. Jake thinks Gia is too good for him. He was surprised by her answer that she was falling for him. Ali is a little bit strange. I can't put my finger on it right now but i would stay away if i was him.

There has got to be ratings involved with Vienna still being on the show. She is literally a dog compared to the others and very manipulating. Jake is ignoring all the signs and even a guy from Texas can't be that naive. The fact he leaves her to the final rose almost every time lets me know it is all for good television. Its sad how fake and transparent this season is.
I agree Alli leaves, but again, why the tears, Jake? She is a cat and a gossip and not mature enough to back up the talk. Let her go.
Gia's crazy NYC mother is going to do her in – and Gia was the best choice.
Jake's gonna go with Tenley but get tired of the Minnie Mouse voice after a few months

Terry, I couldn't agree with you more. I had a feeling Jake let Corrie go because she is a "virgin" and couldnt get a preview taste of what he was getting in to had he of spent or not spent a night with her. After watching last nights episode, I commend her for what she said. The expression and action she had when stating she would not live with a man before marriage made me applaud her. If teens were watching the show, i hope one thing, that they learned something from her to wait until marriage. At first i didnt quite get her, but after that it made me like her more and wish her luck in the future. Jake certainly isnt for her. These overnight stays are just a taste to see who is better, literally. I think ABC chooses the person all along lately. I miss the Trista/Ryan Sutter days when they actually chose the right person.

Interesting article in today's Birmingham News about Corrie Adamson who went to Auburn University and is originally from Alabama. She says that a lot of her conversation with Jake was edited where they talked about the fantasy suite. She made it clear that if she made it that far, she would not accept the invitation to spend the night with Jake as she felt it was a violation of her morals. She went on to say that he made it clear that he would need that time with her to decide if she was the right one for him...hmmmmmm.
Although it's good entertainment, there are still names for men who simultaniously date multiple women and for women who date multiple men...but the censor won't allow that in print.

I read revies on this, there is a guy that called every person off and has been correct with every one of them. I dont know WHAT he sees in Vienna, but he ends with her. Ali cant stand Vienna, so she leaves the show next week (we'll see if this guy really has an inside source) What also happened with Roslyn and the alledged "relationship" with a producer. What the fact that the producers of ABC told her she would be able to speak with her 7 yr old son daily, but that didnt happen. Then promised her that they would fly her out once she got closer to the end. That didnt happen either. She threatened a lawsuit, so ABC tossed in the alledged "relationship" that was actually another producer just allowing her to use the phone w/out anyone knowing to speak to her son. They canned her and the producer. ABC lost my vote on the bachelor. I'm just watching it now to see if this "inside source" is correct on Jake choosing Vienna. I dont know what he sees in her, Ali is much prettier, and Tenley is bar far the best one aside from Roslyn getting the boot.. But that's reality TV for you..

Allie not Ashlie. Sorry. And...I missed where Tenley said she was pregnant. Is that true? Did that happen?

Why Vienna? Any of the other 3 I would be happy with whatever decision. I think Vienna is a spoiled "princess" and hopefully Jake will see that soon as well. What is the big spoiler coming up?? Any clues anyone?

I watched this episode which was the first one since this season aired.I like Jake somewhat, but they are all the same. Here is my take on how it's going to go based on what i saw.. Ali leaves next week due to "job related issues", which is why there is no rose ceremony. She was the one hugging him saying goodbye. Then Gia (who was in Maxim btw & is probably to mature for Jake), leaving Tenley & Vienna for the final rose ceremony. Jake chooses Vienna, big mistake, she is by far not the prettiest. Tenly is adorable, smart & an all around nice girl that Jake should've taken. Which then leaves us to the women tell all. Jake will admit, he is no longer with Vienna.. I'd love to be surprised & see him with Tenley or her say he's making a mistake (all too familiar with a previous Bachelorette yrs ago) Have fun watching! I know I will..

I like Tenley best for Jake, I think they make a perfect couple. Next in line is Gia, however, if someone is going to throw in the towel and leave next week it's got to be one of these two. I can't see either Vienna or Ali giving up they are both too aggressive. Jake is a stand up guy. I like that he said he was "falling for all" of them in front of all of them. No secrets with this guy, never seen that before on the show. Can't wait for next week!

I think Jake is a sincere person and think he only kept Vienna for show ratings at the encouragement of the producers. It is all about ratings. It was a mistake to let Corrie go. So what if she takes more time? But you can't with this type of show. I hope the stalker, Vienna gets what she deserves next week. The families seem to be as big of a drama as the girls. These episodes are beginning to be a little over the top with drama, and starting to appear very rehersed and planned. So sad it involves breaking hearts.

Jake is as sincere as they get – I love him. I see him with Tenley or Gia. Allie is a critical problem creator, not to mention a nick-picker. And Vienna is a spoiled brat. Jake is the real-deal sweetheart. I love this bachelor show the best of all.

I also like Jake for his directness and honesty.

My opinion is that he should have kept Corie and let Vienna go. Corrie has standards not to be dismissed!! Vienna would drive Jake mad if it continues at the same pace. Life is basically soul searching with a quiet heart, Vienna brings too much chaos for that to happen; whereas, Corrie would bring out the best in a person over time.

Except for Vienna, the final women are good choices, go Jake!!

I would like to have a run-down on the previous bachelors in their present relationships (married as a result of this show or not and kids or not).

A few episodes back Tenley tells someone she's pregnant, I'm thinking that is this next episode and she leaves on her own.

I love Jake. I ultimately see him with either Gia or Tenley because they are both playful, sweet and beautiful. I do not see him with Ali or Vienna. Ali is a cat. She will scratch your eyes out if you cross her path. I don't see her heart. That is what Jake is looking for. It's not about sex appeal. It's all about the heart. I see that with Gia and Tenley.

I think there is no rose ceremony because the previews hype it up to be that one of the girls leaves on her own. In his blog, Jake says something like it's a shocker for him. I think Gia leaves him.

I really like this guy Jake.. he has been the most sincere of all of the previous bachelors. I can not for the life of me figure out why he keep Vienna there??? What the heck is that about!

They definitely need to find more guys like Jake... I like the fact that he eliminated two girls rather quickly because he knew up front there was nothing there.... thats the way it should be done!!
