Tell us your red carpet favorites from the Grammys

Grammy fashion can be a minefield. With all of the "creativity" going on, a lot of artists take it too far and end up bombing on the red carpet.

But so far, there have been some fabulous fashion winners.

Keri Hilson, who lost the best new artist Grammy to the Zac Brown Band, was stunning in a nude, fish-tailed Dolce and Gabbanna gown, and Taylor Swift did all-over bling in a dark blue, sequined gown. It sounds like Vegas, but on Swift, it comes off glamorous and fun. FULL POST

Blame it on the apple juice, Jaime Foxx says

Jaime Foxx has taken home the Grammy for best performance by an R&B group or duo for "Blame it on the Alcohol."

"Thanks to the academy for granting us an award for a song like 'Blame It,' which is off the beaten path," Foxx told CNN on the red carpet before the show.

The message, Foxx said, "for the grown ups is that we party and have a good time," he said with a smile. "For the kids, we’re going to change the lyrics and say ‘blame it on the apple juice.' " FULL POST

Russell Brand proposed to Katy Perry on an elephant

Newly engaged stars Katy Perry and Russell Brand made a pit stop by E! on the red carpet to do a little wedding planning and explain how their engagement came about.

"I did it really politely," Brand assured Ryan Seacrest. "There was an elephant involved. We were in India and it was at midnight, and it’s not a good idea to be on an elephant when there are fireworks, Ryan."

The couple appeared to be undecided on what date the wedding will be - Brand seems to think they've set a date, but Perry said no one told her about it - but they did agree that Seacrest, "the High Priestess of Celebrity Culture," should officiate. FULL POST

Akon on Tiger Woods: 'Every guy in America is going through that'

Akon felt and looked like a proud papa on the Grammys red carpet, clad in denim and a Lady Gaga T-shirt.

"I’m looking forward to Gaga opening up; I'm very, very excited," Akon said. "Lady Gaga is the first lady of my record label, I’m more proud of her than anything. I helped guide her career, but she deserves it. It’s different watching someone work so hard, and see them reap the benefits of their hard work. I’m like a proud dad right now."

When CNN asked the rapper/singer about some of the bad press he's received in recent years, Akon said that it's just part of being successful. FULL POST

Beyonce and Jay-Z are the Grammy power couple

The Grammys haven't started but the awards keep pouring in, especially for Beyonce.

Mrs. Jay-Z was nominated for 10 awards this year and has already nabbed four of them.

General Larry Platt: No pants on the ground at the Grammys

"American Idol" viral sensation General Larry Platt was on hand at the Grammy Awards, roving the red carpet with a plethora of belts in hand.

After doing a rendition of his famous routine, Platt reunited with "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest. He shared a few dance moves and admitted that he was surprised to see the reaction of the nation to his sartorial message.
