No Grammy performance for Rihanna

Fans looking forward to a performance by Rihanna at the Grammys on Sunday will be disappointed. The singer confirmed that she will not be performing on the show during an interview on Carson Daly's radio program.

Daly asked who he could call to get her into the lineup, and Rihanna responded that she wasn't so sure there was anyone who would take the request.

"Um, we messed up the show pretty bad last year, they’re probably a little mad at me right now," she told Daly.

Michael C. Hall wasn't going to reveal he had cancer

If it weren't for awards season, the public may never have known what "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall was dealing with behind-the-scenes.

The 38-year-old actor told Parade magazine that he considers personal health to be a very personal matter, and was going to keep the reality of his treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma to himself.

"I had every intention of keeping the fact that I had cancer quiet," he told the magazine. But, with two upcoming awards shows to hit, Hall said he thought the best option was to let the world know beforehand. FULL POST

My lunch with Ella of 'The Bachelor'

Four contestants were eliminated by Jake on Monday's episode of "The Bachelor."  One of those knocked out was Ella Nolan, a hairstylist, real estate agent and single mom from Tennessee.

Earlier today, Ella took time to speak with reporters, myself included, about all things "Bachelor."

Was she surprised by her elimination? 

According to Ella, there were times where she thought her connection with Jake was strong, but there were also moments where the spark wasn't there.  However, Ella was somewhat shocked by her elimination, as she thought she and Jake didn't get more time to develop a romantic side to their relationship. 'Idol' audition in Dallas not so hot

I'm going to call this week on "Idol" "Attack of the Guest Judges."

After Katy Perry sparred with Kara DioGuardi on Tuesday night, we were treated to guest judge Neil Patrick Harris giving Simon the business on Wednesday night.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Doogie Howser and I didn't always disagree with him, but the whole him-versus-Simon battle just seemed very much a male version repeat of the Katy/Kara schtick of  the night before.

Or maybe I was just cranky  because I  wasn't blown away by the talent in Dallas. FULL POST
