Brittany Murphy's last roles![]() testing captions Before her tragic death earlier this week, actress Brittany Murphy had a busy year working on multiple projects, according to the Internet Movie Database and media reports. The 32-year-old actress had recently wrapped the filming on two dark indie thrillers and was preparing to start work on a romantic comedy next month. Last spring, Murphy worked on the mystery thriller "Something Wicked," in which she portrayed a psychiatrist counseling a young couple about their deep dark secrets leading up to their wedding. In one chilling scene from the movie the other female lead, played by Shantel VanSanten, tells Murphy's character that she is looking forward to having a family and kids and growing old with her future husband. Murphy responds, "That's my dream too. It might never happen." Murphy spent last June shooting "Abandoned," co-starring Dean Cain, Mimi Rogers, Peter Bogdanovich and designer Tara Subkoff. She starred as a woman who embarks on a search for her boyfriend who goes missing from a hospital during a routine treatment. In January, Murphy was expected to begin shooting the romantic comedy "Shrinking Charlotte," with Kathleen Turner, Fred Willard, Matthew Lillard and Sam Trammell. Director Rene Eram has said he hopes to recast Murphy's role. |

jsf "YOU ARE CLUELESS".
im sorry that was really rude of me.
Brittany was absolutely ADORABLE–her smile was so sweet and her laughter was contagious–"only the good die young..." we miss you Brittany!
WATCH The Ramen Girl!!!
One of her Best films- yet not recognized by the critics!!!
If not for this film I would not be a fan.....
She was brillant!!
May she rest in eternal peace... God Bless
Brittany was a beautiful actress! I just watched "Love and Other Disasters" 2 weeks ago and I loved her in that movie. She was lovely and made me love "Breakfast at Tiffanys" even more! I pray her family will find peace in knowing that she is in a better place!!!
jsf, there are one too many douche bags like you in this world. my fav. movies of brittany's were clueless, girl interrupted and riding in cars with boys. another angel watching over us, rest in peace love.
Very talented and gone too soon...
You were a one of the people I actually liked from Hollywood , you know what comes first on this earth and it wasn't wealth & glamour which tends to puff up most out there,..you had your heart on God,... bless ya Brittany you were a great example for the rest. Oh and I loved your smile and laugh, gonna miss it. Eternal Peace of Christ be with ya .
hey jsf I notice you know the name of quite a few of her movies...considering you didn't really like her....and BTW what have you done except to post an ignorant comment about someone you don't even know?? If you have seen Don't Say A Word you would never say she didn't have talent. I thougth she was brilliant and I am incredibly sad for her family who has go on wothout her.
Wow! what compassion its not tragidy unless they die and have one an oscar huh?
So adorable, so sad....Live every day...we never know when we'll be called up.....
jsf you are just rude and stupid. Nobody cares if you liked her movies or thought she was a worthy actress. A family lost a loved one who happened to be a public figure. You must be something extra special to be so judgemental. What is it that you've done that puts you so high above the rest of us?
jsf – she was actually a very talented actress with over 60 roles in her short career. You should see her in "Girl, Interrupted" – excellent performance. She will be missed by her fans.
um, have a little respect for the deceased...
Such sad news. She was a great actress and she will be missed.
Hey jsf,
You are pretty heartless. Brittany was a very successful woman. Successful meaning she did what she loved. The Oscar means nothing unless you think money means success. Wake up!
JSF have some respect for the DEAD. obviously you have never experienced death before, ignorant asshole
Bad form jsf. I hope no one speaks of you like that when you leave this mortal coil. Bad form.
To JSF, You are an awful person.
Classy, jsf, real classy.
JSF – you're a douchebag.
What a beautiful girl that is gone to soon......remember to love, laugh but most of all live each day to the fullest!
(at jsf) dont you think that's a bit cruel, considering she's dead and can't defend herself to insensitive comments like yours?
wow jsf, youre a real prick. if you hated her work so much why even post on here?
jsg -well put...always said when someone departs, for her family, friends, etc...but come on. awful actress
It is truly sad that Brittany had to go so soon. This has truly been a difficult year in the entertainment industry. So many people are dying and we have no control of the things that happen other than the lifestyles we live. I wish her family well and pray that she has found peace in the arms of the Master. Let's get our lives together people so that we will be ready when our time comes. Peace and Blessings
I totally enjoyed 13 years of Luanne Platter, certainly one of Murphy's most creative roles. The interviews on Season 1 DVD were a peek into how Murphy felt about playing the ditsy trailer-bred Luanne. A true talent. She was so amazing in Girl Interrupted and I can't wait to see her in other films like Sin City (which I skipped but will see now). I just wish the "infotainment" media would have more respect for the dead. It was a real bummer to lose a talent AND have the premature, shameful and ugly news reports. Especially Perez Hilton, who had to back-pedal so fast he probably got a wedgie. What a sleaze bag.
@jsf
And what might you be known for when you die? I bet your mom will have to clean out your room in the basement, but the rest of us will forget about you sooner than you think
I had never seen Brittney's movies but I have seen a few interviews. She always exhibited such grace.
Rest in peace, Brittney.
Rest In Peace.
The one thing I especially adored about her, the laughter. She had remarkable laughter. Good bye sweet angel.
Wow jsf, I can't wait until you die and we can make comments like that about you. Who cares about how good of an actress she was or wasn't, she passed away unexpectedly and at a very young age. Regardless of her career, whether she was a famous actress or your local garbage man, it's a life that's lost, and it's a tragic thing to deal with. Have some more compassion than that.
I am so sad that she is gone....god bless to her family and friends.
She was a very talented actress... she will be missed.
Yeah she will live forever in her straight to DVD movies, a true talent cant for the life of me figure out how she never got an Oscar, with such classics as Clueless and 8 miles. Just married and Uptown Girls.
she will live forever in her movies!
Gone too soon.
