Heavy breathing on 'Dancing'Lots of celebrities have mentioned how they’ve lost weight by competing on “Dancing With the Stars,” and it’s easy to see why. Last night, many of the stars were barely able to catch their breath after dancing the jitterbug, a bouncy, energetic, athletic – and sometimes acrobatic - dance made popular during World War II. Donny Osmond and his professional partner Kym Johnson did a fun, train-themed jitterbug that had him huffing and puffing afterwards. Professional snowboarder Louie Vito seemed so out of breath after his routine that he looked like he was going to do what Osmond’s sister Marie did a few season back on “Dancing:” faint during the judges’ comments. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba also noted that Vito dropped his professional partner Chelsie Hightower twice during their wild jitterbug. “It was all wacko,” added judge Bruno Tonioli. Meanwhile, Kelly Osbourne did a fun, cute routine with Louis Van Amstel, but didn’t impress the judges, who called her performance “flat footed.” “It was like a blueberry muffin without the blueberries,” said judge Len Goodman. He was more complimentary of some of the couples who danced the waltz on last night’s show, giving the thumbs up to celebrities including Melissa Joan Hart and Michael Irvin. All three are winners in their own right. They all took their previous experience and grew so much. Even though some say Mia had previous experience, I think she had to work so hard to learn new areas of dance. She's was great in Chicago and a great dancer to support her singing career, but a lot of stars are. It is Dancing With The Stars. Most stars are going to have more dance experience than the average viewer.
I agree John. For that matter, Donny is a professional dancer too. I really want Kelly to win because she really started from zero and is a true example of a winner!
Mya is a professional dancer. She has dancing roles in movies; notably Chicago. She should not be competing with actors, athletes, models, etc.
I think it is time to hang it up! With all of the second rate celebs and the predictability of the hosts (I love Tom Bergeron but the show is so "staged" is is getting boring) Samantha Harris is boring also. He needs a new co-host. The best thing on that show is the band! Even th judges are so predictable. Are they bored also?
I hope Louie goes soon, his hair drives me insane! Get a haircut or keep it out of your face.
We are so upset about Melissa. We are hoping Mark wins, he has the most talent there. One thing that's missing this season is the connection that the "Stars" usually have with each other...I don't see it at all. Oh and Donny made a fool of himself when he tried to make out with Bruno...ick. Then they interviewed Paula Abdul and she said she wanted to make out with Carrie Ann.....what the heck?? DWTS is starting to get sleezy. If they don't watch it, they're going to be like all the other reality shows. Get some class.

OMG.. Susan I couldn't agree more. Samantha is awful! She is always saying something stupid or inappropriate. I am so glad I am not the only one that feels this way.
I wish Tom Bergeron would go! I can't stand him. He is by turns snarky and obsequious...blechhh...Regis Philbin would be the perfect host. And Samantha adds value best when she says something stupid or inappropriate...which is practically every show.
carrie ann and her love for football players (complete bad judge tactics) she said she had to judge on the dance off clearly louie put more effort, and passion into it to stay in, but I knew the b word carrie ann would go for her football players.
melissa and louie were better then Michael
about melissa i think people were expecting her to be all bubbly and here sabrina teenage witch and drive me crazy, but shes married, has children and grew up, so i think she was treated unfairly throughout the whole comp,

Personally the whole show should go. Along with every other reality show on TV.
I am mad that Louie left but he dropped his partner, whats to say he won't do it again. if anyone whould have left, michael irving should leave.
I think that Donny and Mya have had dancing experience their whole lives. I'm thinking that the contestants that have had to start from square one should be awarded
Actually I felt Louie Vito should have gone. Clearly he is not a dancer
nor seems to be comfortable dancing. Donnie and Kim are THE
BEST dancers by far. They do such a good job plus are so entertaining. It is such a pleasure too watching Kelly, she tries so hard. Just love her.
Who will the final 3 be? Mya, Donnie and ?? The 3rd one is a coin flip. I don't think Joanna has the popularity to make it but she is probably the most capable. It's too bad that this comes down to a popularity contest rather than an assessment of skill and capability. The 3 judges should be the last word on who will make the finally 3. I think Michael and Aaron will be the next 2 gone.
But, I do wish the judges would lighten up and not be so derogatory and demeaning, simply stating what is wrong without the personal subjective commentary is sufficient. Stars or not, these people put themselves in front of a national primetime audience knowing that they would be publicly criticized and humiliated, not something that I would care to do.
To you critics of DWTS: Why are you watching the show and then complaining on this site? If you don't like it don't watch it and if it's so mindless and unworthy of discussion, why are you here discussing it?
Though I thought Louie and Chelsie were adorable together, and as hard as Louie tries, it is far enough into the competition where we have to say goodbye to Louie. But I think Michael Irvin will be next, as he should be. Melissa Joan Hart tried hard, but she too was not a dancer type. Nice personality and hard worker, but just couldn't go any farther against the talent that remains. I think Donnie, Joanna and Derek and Mark will be the top three. Mark has come a very long way and I really enjoy watching him. I'd be happy if either of these three won. Kelly is cute, works hard, but I don't think she will make it into the top three.
Break out the red light and the tension filled music.......the one to leave should be............................SAMANTHA HARRIS............SHE IS BRUTAL. I think Mya should win. Her partner is easy on the eyes and fun to watch. Hubba hubba. Oh yeah, Mya is pretty talented as well.
Michael and Melissa..like them both but it's time to go
Donny, Mya and Kelly are the final three...I don't feel like there is an unfair advantage...the sports stars are in better shape, the entertainers have all danced sometime in their professional lives, the models are pretty and fit...
The judges are the same as they have always been...I do think they all have their favorites...but there is no pattern of discrimination...
It's TV...if you don't like it turn it off
With DWTS you're only as good as your most recent performance. That said, I think the best dancer is Mya followed by Joanna or Aaron. I hate to see better dancers go because they aren't as popular. I have to say Donny is my favorite. He's got the whole package. It's easy to forget he's almost twice as old as some of the other competitors. And Kym is one of my favorite pros. She never seems to lose patience. Maks would make me cry.
This is news for the population of us who watches the shows..I usally start the season by watching the show with the older dancers like Tom Delay, and before Cloris Leachman, then after they are voted off I then turn to the dancers..up to this point I just cannot see anyone who is consistent, I do enjoy watching Derek, Mark and Kelly, Maya, but not cheering for a winner as yet..they are all adorable and cute.. but on a competitive level..not sure
This is old news.....the results were Tuesday night...this article is noting Monday's performances. Get with it CNN....this is not "up to the minute news"......its Wednesday!
The show is worn out. Donnie has a unfair advantage. Sorry it was better 2 seasons ago. Bring back normal TV
I hope Louie Vito stays. He was from my hometown of Rome, NY and I knew his grandparents up there. Go Louie!!!!
This season has been really, really lame. No true talent. The couples that have been kicked off should still be there and some of the couples still there should have been kicked off. What's up with these judges. They are all acting cranky this season. Remember people, this is not a popularity contest, it is dancing talent/contest.

Louie Snowboarder is so out of his league....he is built really funny to even consider being a dancer, low center of gravity helps with snow boarding I suppose, but he has a very weird and gross body to watch and look at.

Then there is Joanne, a body to die for but a face that is downright scary looking., pretty artificial and hard to look at. Thankfully, she can dance, and is beautiful to watch.
We think that the show's Director should go!
Allowing the audiences to scream so loudly that we can't hear the show's hosts is rude, crude, annoying, juvenile, unprofessional, etc.
What happened to applause for approval, not kid's loud screaming at every moment ? !!
The only reason I am watching this season of dancing is

My'a has been consistantly good. She dances with such ease and perfection. I think she shoukld win, but Derek and Joanna are working hard to over take her.

And I agree with Bruno_Too about the judges' critiques. Why do they have to be sooooo nasty??? They make me sick sometimes–they go way overboard with their condescending remarks. When Carrie Anne told crybaby that his dancing turned people off, i felt like throwing up!
Carrie Ann is a psycho trying to act like that screaming old gal on "So you think you can dance"....and it doesn't go over well. The only judge that acts like he's not on crack is Bruno. He's as honest as the day is long.
I love Donny Osmond. And Kelly Osborne's brother is Jack, not Zack. She's adorable. That Aaron Carter is a little weiner. I hate to see him dancing with Karina. What a mismatch.
I dont care who wins, i'm just thrilled that we have this type of program on television again, away from CSI, Missing without a trace, NCIS and all the hideous depressing crime shows.
I think Nick Carter is being given a hard time. Not fair. Apparently he doesn't seem to be able to do anything right according to some!
Aaron Carter needs to go because HE'S AWFUL!!! I hate his whining and especially having an inappropriate relationship with katrina who seems to do anything in pants.
Carrie-Ann is a JUDGE. She's got every right to point out lifts because they're a BIG part of a routine. If you dance, you know that, and you're clearly not a dancer.
Lifts are allowed in some dances but you have to alter them sometimes as well, such as keeping one foot on the ground in Viennese Waltz, etc. It's her job to point out he lifts because they're part of the RULES.
Can we vote off the judges?
I have lost faith with this show...ever since Natalie Coughlin was voted off. What was that all about? She was right up there with Mya. I think the judges have pre-determined what they will do and who will stay for the sake of the show and not necessarily for who is the best dancer. I am very disappointed and may even stop watching. Too bad. It started off with such high hopes. I agree with the comment that this season is the worst ever.
Louis needs to go snowboarding. Winter is here boot him. Let him go have fun.

The Walker (Louie) and the Wooden Doll (Melissa) need to go! Neither one of them have any musicality. Every time Melissa is praised it makes my jaw drop. She seems sweet, but can't dance. I would like to see Donny and Maya in the finals. Maya is not a professional dancer. She is a singer, so get off it already! And Maya and Dimitri should have won the dance off. They were way more sleek and classy. If I wanted to see a stripper type dance, then I would have liked Derek and that other girl.

Michael, Louie and Melissa are appreciably less talented than the others. Aaron needs to grow up and while Kelly is working hard and certainly doing better than anyone would have guessed, she has reached her limit of what she can do. There is no clearly best "dancer" among the others. Joanna appears to me to be slightly better but only slightly. Donnie is by far the most entertaining. The annoying part of this show is Samantha's poor commentary and the judges critiques as if they were judging professional dancers.
Has anyone else gotten fed up with Carrie Annes pointing out a "lift"? Who gives a rat's ass. If there were big money riding on the outcome of this show maybe things would be different but the fact is this is just entertainment. Interesting how any injury is immediately adressed with an ambulance being called and a "rush" to the hospital. I'm surprised they don't bring in the "flight for life" helicopter.

it is going to be Aaron and Michael....Aaron was in the bottom 2 two weeks in a row...he can not overcome the impression he has left on people with how cocky he was. Now he is trying to act grown up but it is too late.

I believe that Michael and Louie should go. They are pretty sad on the floor, and I am surprised that they have made it this far! It is called dancing with the stars Louie, not walking with the stars! Thirdly, I don't think Aaron is good enough to win. I don't think that he will make it through another round, even if he makes it through tonight! I really don't have a stand-out favorite this year! No one has been all that exceptional!
I think Louis and Michael should be put out tonight. All they are doing is taking votes from the better stars.

I agree with the comments that Michael was short-changed having to dance with the new girl. Too bad, I'm sure he would be doing much better with one of the other pro dancers. It will be a couple of seasons before Anna develops any "sparkle." What’s the rap about Aaron and his dance partner? he's not into her at all. Do I sense a bit of jealousy? And, Joanna can't dance... no rhythm. I laughed and laughed during the group dance, what was that called she was doing, .not dancing, for sure. I don't mind Donny, but don't love him either. You know, I don't really have a favorite like past seasons. They are all about the same. a bit boring. And, please get rid of Samantha Harris. I don't think I can take one more season of her!
Louie, Aaron, Michael all need to go. Unforunately, Michael has a rookie professional partner that hasnt served him well. Not that he had a chance to win the whole thing but think he would be doing much better. Also, agree with the comment on Mya, she has the technical skills but no presence...

Stop picking on Samatha. She has A great personality and the best taste in clothes. Her gowns are gorgeous!
I love Mya and Donny. Carrie does not like Mya and It is getting so obvious. Just because she is quieter than others. And Derek? He is getting so raunchy with all the crotch grinding with his partner JoAnna. He makes me sick. Dimitry is so likeable and shows class. Really, Derek just loves his own body. And we have seen way too much of it this year.
This season is very "short" in talent. There simply are no exciting stars – no twinkle – no comparison to previous shows. In fact, I don't even bother to vote.
I think Louie should go, and then AAron. Louie is adorable but just walks around while his partner does all the dancing. Aaron is just way too whiney!!
Samantha Harris is the worst host on T.V.,,,,she repeats herself, with the same old, same old...like she can't think of anything original. Give this girl a script., or get her off the show...she is terrible.
I still can't believe that Donny got a spot in the first place! It is only a level playing field when NONE of them have had experience dancing! We have "pet names" for some of the contestants... Aaron of course is crybaby, and poor Samantha Harris' arms and collarbone sticking out inspired us to call her chickenbone. I agree with the fact that Michael would have done better with a more seasoned dancer! I hated to see swimmer-girl go home, but I'm part of the problem I guess- 'cause I never vote for anyone. Maybe I should re-think my apathy and vote before Donny Osmond takes the prize. Yep.

and to Midlife Bachelor – I too am charmed by Kelli – when I saw their TV at home reality series, it was the first time I had seen her and her brother, Zack and they were BOTH slugs! But afterwards, Zack went into rehab and lost a TON of weight and went all physical, fit lifestyle. Kelli has been a true pleasure to watch – her personality is just so darned CUTE! Great sense of humor!
It's double elimination tonight, so I would guess it would be Aaron and Michael to go. I think Donny has a good chance of going all the way to the finals, but I hoping to see Derek and Joanna win this season. Derek is a very good dancer and teacher. Also, he's darn good looking to.

Based on dance quality, Michael and Louie, even though they both seem like nice guys. But if we voted based on personality, the two people leaving the show would be Aaron Carter and... SAMANTHA HARRIS!

i agree with Grace, Michael was cheated that dancer is not a good teacher, i actually liked his dance this last time. i like Louie but yes he messed up. nope dont think mya is fair, she use to dance. everyone knows that. For real, Irvin needs to go. He is not a dancer, nor Louie. Mya seems a bit over confident. Kelly is adorable to watch. Donnie is just an Osmond and he's always going to entertain. JoAnna does have that sold her soul to the devil look- glad someone else sees it Midlife Bachelor. Aaron Carter, he seems like he could go American Psycho at any moment of criticism. LOUIE NEEDS to go...I am angry that DWTS didn't pick snowboarder Jesse CSZINCSAK. There was a mass petition for him to be on the show. He's so much more entertaining then this Louie (yawn) character.

I agree that Michael needed a more experienced partner. Since Donny has been dancing since he was in diapers, he should have gotten Michael's partner. Michael would be doing a lot better with one of the veteran dancers. Not fair and someone had to have thought of that when pairing them.

I support Kelly Osborne – as I think she is trying the hardest of any of the contestants PLUS I have been charmed by how she adores her father (who I am also a big fan of).
As far as who needs to go – probably Louie. He seems like a great guy but I don't think he has what it takes to continue. I bet he "continues" with his partner though – lot's of chemistry there.

I think Michael would do a lot better if he had been given a pro-dancer of some caliber. Can you imagine if Cheryl or Kim had been his teacher? Anna is too new and too inexperienced. Michael has been cheated!

I will tell you who should not be disqualified is Donny. He is doing a tremendous job and he is older than most of them. Disqualications: the football player and the snowboarder.

I would like to see Mya drop out. The level of competition is inconsistent because so many of the celebrities have no previous dancing experience. Mya has been a professional dancer. She has the skills, though I don't think she has the presence of a winner.
Michael needs to go. Seriously. He cant dance if his life depended on it. And even though he isnt the best dancer, I will be really sad if Louie Vito goes home. Him and Chelsea are just absolutely adorable together. I really think that Derek and Joanna might take the trophy this year. The judges really seem to like her!

I THINK LOUIE SHOULD GO FOR SURE. COMPARED TO THE REST, HE JUST DOESN'T HAVE IT. THIS IS A CLOSE SEASON, NO ONE CLEAR LEADER YET, IT KEEPS CHANGING. I BET THESE STARS ARE IN THE BEST SHAPE THEY HAVE EVER BEEN IN.
