Here's what's going on in the world of entertainment today:
- Kristin Chenoweth's surprise Emmy win for "Pushing Daisies" last night is actually one of four awards picked up by the canceled show, says The Hollywood Reporter. Show creator Bryan Fuller told the paper, "It's a tremendous honor to see 'Daisies' win in so many categories - and in the spirit of the show, win posthumously. Now can we please make the 'Pushing Daisies' movie?"
- Listen out for Sacha Baron Cohen on a future episode of "The Simpsons," reports EW.com. (The show airs March 28, 2010 to be precise.) Executive producer Al Jean tells the magazine that Cohen will play a "pretty angry but funny” Israeli tour guide while the family is visiting the country.
- Variety reports that ABC has picked up a one-hour comedy starring magicians Penn & Teller. The duo will play detectives by day, and (in not much of a stretch) magicians by night.
- The Disney/Pixar hit "Up" is doing bang-up box office overseas, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It has actually been out since May, and surprisingly took the top spot outside the U.S. this past weekend. It has made over $200 million so far there.
