Emmy night: Alec Baldwin demursAlec Baldwin picked up his eighth Emmy, his second consecutive outstanding lead actor in a comedy award, for his work on "30 Rock." Baldwin, proving his acting ability, said he was surprised. "You never, ever dream you're going to win," he told reporters backstage. Instead of acting, most questions backstage centered around his political ambitions. "I have a great interest in public service, but seeking public office is another whole ball of wax," Baldwin said. When asked what guest star he would most like to have on "30 Rock," he said Paul McCartney. |

Alec Baldwin is a great actor. He deserved that award. People need to stop puting politic into everything. He works his ass off on 30 rock. The right person go the award. As for hte women i was pulling for holly hunter. I loved saving grace. She really does play that part well.
Alec Baldwin is a devisive nasty person. His acting is mediocre. he is what he called his daughter. He would be that despite of his political aspirations....he is also a liar...said he was leaving the US...don't let the door hit your backside on the way out.
According to Mike: " Too bad actors with real talent can’t get the credit they deserve."
Uh, Mike, does this mean that the various Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes have been taken back from Clint Eastwood, Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton, James Woods, Tom Selleck, Robert Duvall or that other Hollywood Republicans, such as Drew Carey, Tony Danza, Heather Locklear can't find any work??

Alec is a good actor and it does not make a damn bit of diffence what his political agenda is. Wake up and smell the money because thats what its about, always has been and always will be. Alec deserved his emmy.
Alec Baldwin wins because he's a flaming liberal and guess who decides who gets the Emmy's?....other flaming liberals. Too bad actors with real talent can't get the credit they deserve.
