Toronto Film Festival: Matt Damon is not dead![]() Few things are worse in the entertainment news business than when a rumor surfaces that a celebrity has died. It's really bad because even though they are almost always hoaxes, you have to follow-up with the star's publicist, a moment, which you can be sure, is understandably awkward. This happened just days ago with A-list actor, Matt Damon, who is, in fact, very much alive. I know because I just interviewed him – in person. He's in Toronto promoting his new film, "The Informant." Damon says as soon as he heard the rumor he immediately called his mother just so she would not worry. Damon knows about worrying parents – he has three girls at home, two young daughters and a step-daughter from his wife, Luciana's previous marriage. But, Damon isn't only worried about his children, he cares about all the kids in America – in particular, one's without health insurance. Last time I sat down with the Oscar winner was quite vocal about his support of then presidential candidate Barrack Obama. When asked how he thinks the President is doing now, he says he hopes he can get health care reform passed. He says making sure millions of children are covered would be "very American." Toronto Film Festival: Megan Fox to play Barbarella?"Jennifer's Body" star, Megan Fox says there's absolutely no truth to the internet rumors that she's going head-to-head with Angelina Jolie for the lead role in a remake of the 1960's classic, "Barbarella." ![]() Fox, who is currently attending the Toronto Film Festival promoting her new horror comedy says she wouldn't ignore the call if it came, but as of right now it's just a rumor. Fox added that she and Angelina aren't "really in the same age group." Angelina Jolie turned 34 earlier this summer. As for her next role, the 23-year actress has already filmed "Jonah Hex" opposite Josh Brolin and will next film "Passion Play" with recent Oscar-nominee, Mickey Rourke. |
