Celebrity disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead Friday in his apartment in New York, we've just confirmed.
Drug paraphernalia reportedly was found at the scene. The New York Police Department tells CNN, "There is no criminality suspected at this time."
The NYPD says the coroner will determine the cause of death.
Goldstein was a DJ to the stars, who became a celebrity himself and dated the likes of Nicole Ritchie and Mandy Moore. He was set to star in a reality series for MTV this fall called "Gone Too Far", in which he was part of interventions staged to help young people with drug problems.
He and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker were the only survivors of a plane crash in South Carolina last year that killed four other people.
