- The A&E network is moving forward with a reality series about the Jackson brothers, which was originally planned prior to Michael Jackson's death, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series will show the brothers dealing with their loss.
- Variety reports that a movie based on the classic music show "Soul Train" is in the works, with Malcolm Spellman on tap to write the script for Warner Bros. Don Cornelius, who hosted the show for 35 years, will produce the film.
- "A Life in the Day," a movie about Brian Epstein, manager of the Beatles from 1961 to 1967, is in the works, on the heels of an announced remake of "Yellow Submarine," according to Variety.
- Vin Diesel will reprise his role as Xander Cage in the third installment of the "XXX" franchise, to be directed by Ericson Core, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Diesel did not appear in the previous film.
