Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!” – Sean “P.Diddy” Combs

"I don't know what to say. I loved him. Not just his music but "him" his idealism and openness and humanitarian heart, his understanding of the human family as one, the high spiritual nature of him and to juxtapose THAT, with a great worldy impact and success,..... He was TRULY a special soul. As a person in the music industry, I've seen a glimpse of how rewarding but also how hurtful it can be , especially for sensitive souls.  I actually think he was too special and fragile for the world he was in.  My heart goes out to every member of his family." With love- India Arie

"I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"  – Britney Spears

"I can't stop crying over the sad news... I have always admired michael jackson..The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!.. My heart goes out to his 3 children and other members of his family... God bless"- Madonna

"Michael Jackson will live forever through the thing that he put all of his life energy into: his music. I will do my part to keep the melody alive, to keep the energy forever changing form, but never ever dying!! Long live Michael Jackson." – Ne-Yo

"Michael Jackson was easily as influential as James Brown, and that's saying a lot.  He was the Fred Astaire of his time.  We had Vincent Price in common - I used him first on "Welcome To My Nightmare" in 1975, and he later used him on "Thriller."  Nobody moved like Michael, he was truly the King of Pop." – Alice Cooper

"I am full of grief."- Whitney Houston

“Michael Jackson will always be remembered as one of the greatest performers in the history of popular music.  As a child of the 80's, I feel as though his music and his videos have been an inseparable part of my life and that of an entire generation.  And the powerful thing about great music is that it will always live on.  He was and always will be an icon.  My heart goes out to his family, friends and countless fans for their tragic loss.”- John Legend

“I am heart broken. My prayers go out to the Jackson family, and my heart goes out to his children. Let us remember him for his unparalleled contribution to the world of music, his generosity of spirit in his quest to heal the world, and the joy he brought to his millions of devoted fans throughout the world. I feel blessed to have performed with him several times and to call him my friend. No artist will ever take his place.  His star will shine forever.”- Mariah Carey

“I can’t find the words right now to express how deeply sadden I am by Michael’s passing.   We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music, but of all music.  He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together.  My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.” – Justin Timberlake

Michael Jackson remembered

Statements are pouring in from all over Hollywood about Michael Jackson’s death.

michael jackson

"I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children who I know were everything to him and for his family.  This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."- Lisa Marie Presley

"I was lucky enough to know and work with Michael Jackson in his prime. Michael was an extraordinary talent and a truly great international star. He had a troubled and complicated life and despite his gifts, remains a tragic figure. My wife Deborah and I will always have great affection for him." – John Landis, director of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and "Black or White" music videos.

"I knew Michael as a child and watched him grow over the years. Of all the thousands of entertainers I have worked with, Michael was THE most outstanding. Many have tried and will try to copy him, but his talent will never be matched. He was truly one-of-a-kind." – Dick Clark

"Michael Jackson was one of the most creative and successful recording artists of the last 40 years. He became an instant star when he was only 11 years old, fronting the Jackson 5," said Jim Henke, vice president of exhibitions and curatorial affairs at the Rock Hall of Fame and Museum. His solo career was so extraordinary that he became known as the King of Pop. Few other artists of his era reached the peaks that he did, both in terms of sales and critical acclaim.  His legacy will live on for a long, long time. We join the world in mourning the loss of this twice-inducted member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

"Michael Jackson was my Musical God.  He made me believe that all things are possible, and through real and positive music, he can live forever!  I love Michael Jackson.  God Bless him."- Wyclef Jean

"Rarely has the world received a gift with the magnitude of artistry, talent, and vision as Michael Jackson. He was a true musical icon whose identifiable voice, innovative dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and sheer star power carried him from childhood to worldwide acclaim. A 13-time GRAMMY recipient, Michael's career transcends musical and cultural genres and his contributions will always keep him in our hearts and memories. We are deeply saddened by this tragic news and our hearts go out to his family and to music lovers around the globe who mourn this great loss."- Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy®

"I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news.  For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.   Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80's.  To this day, the music we created together on "Off The Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all...talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.  He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.  I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."- Quincy Jones

"Michael Jackson was my generations most iconic cultural hero. Courageous, unique and incredibly talented.  He'll be missed greatly."- Russell Simmons

"A friend of Michael's for the last 35 years, I call on people around the world to pray for him and his family in the hour. I have known Michael since we were both teens, worked with him, marched for him, hosted him at our House of Justice headquarters in New York, and we joined together to eulogize our mutual idol, James Brown. I have known him at his high moments and his low moments and I know he would want us to pray for his family."- Reverend Al Sharpton

"I am so devastated by this terrible news. From the beginning of my career, he was my idol in show business. He was a genius and an incredible artist!! I remember when I was growing up and watching him on TV, and all his videos...I had his poster on my wall...he was so amazing...his singing, his writing, his dancing. We had the same record company, and they knew I was a huge fan, so when things started to happen for me, they arranged for us to meet. I was so nervous, and so excited at the same time, and Michael was so nice. He autographed one of his hats for me.... I was so thrilled. Years later, he came to see my Las Vegas show and we spent some time together....and we were really looking forward to seeing his show in London. It's unbelievable that he's no longer with us. It still hasn't sunk in. I guess we're just finding out what happened, but all I can say is that he must have been under an enormous amount of pressure......to do the shows, and to keep on top of everything, plus this was going to be his big comeback. This is a lot of pressure and it can be overwhelming for anyone. I'm sure it was just too much to handle. Right now, along millions and millions of others I am so sad....and I just want to send my prayers and love to Michael's family. I can't imagine how difficult this is for them....to lose someone so special. And it's the same for everyone in the world who loses a loved one. It just keeps reminding us of how precious life is, and that we never know when it's our time. God Bless his soul."- Celine Dion

“The two great losses that we experienced today can only be balanced by the beautiful things they left behind for us on this earth. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson will forever live in my heart as unforgettable and eternal...Las dos grandes perdidas que hemos  sentido hoy solo se puede balancear con las cosas bellas que dejaron atras en nuestro mundo. Farrah Fawcett y Michael Jackson viviran siempre en mi corazon como inolovidables y eternos...” – Gloria Estefan

“My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael.  He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world.  I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing.”  – Brooke Shields

"I am so grateful to have worked with the King. He was a gift to the world, he is a bright light and I wouldn't be surprised if the world stopped spinning tomorrow."-Will.I.Am

Hollywood Remembers an "Angel"

Hollywood is in mourning after the loss of their beloved “Angel” and remembrances are pouring in.  We will share them with you here as we get them.

“Farrah had courage, she had strength, and she had faith.  And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels.”– Jaclyn Smith

“I’m terribly sad about Farrah’s passing.  She was incredibly brave, and God will be welcoming her with open arms.”– Cheryl Ladd

“She was the strongest woman I ever met who fought this battle for three years to the end. She never felt sorry for herself, and was the sweetest and kindest lady. I will miss her. " -  George Hamilton

“Farrah Fawcett was a beautiful, talented and thoughtful friend.  When she starred in my movie "Hollywood Wives – The New Generation" she was the consummate professional, sometimes working until 2 a.m.  She was a shining light in Hollywood, and she will be missed by all who knew her.”– Jackie Collins

"Farrah was an inspiration to all and had the most amazing spirit. She was one of the kindest, sweetest, and funniest women of I've had the privilege of knowing and I'm proud to have called her a friend. Her smile will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family”–Tori Spelling

“Farrah had an outstanding talent, better than most feature-film actresses that I’ve seen.  She was great to work with and will be missed.”  -Robert Duvall

"Though I did not know her well, Farrah left an indelible mark on me and the public during her one year reign on "Charlie's Angels." She put up a gallant fight and I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends."

   -John Forsythe

"Farrah was more than a beautiful star.  She shared the most intimate part of living with the world even as she approached the end of her own life.  Graceful in life and graceful  as she neared the end,  I found working with her to be one of the nicest experiences I’ve ever had in film. God bless Ryan and their son and other members of the family. "– Chevy Chase

"I will miss Farrah everyday. She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was. Farrah showed immense courage and grace throughout her illness and was an inspiration to those around her. When I think of Farrah I will remember her kindness, her cutting dry wit and of course her beautiful smile. Today when you think of Farrah remember her smiling because that is exactly how she wanted to be remembered...smiling." -Kate Jackson

“Farrah was and is the true definition of an ‘icon.’ She was of her time but transcended her time. As unique as her name, Farrah was a completely original combination of poster girl, serious actress, tabloid celebrity, role model, talk show personality and social advocate: her career spanned more than four decades and personified the tremendous power and influence of entertainment on our culture. Not many stars can be credited with inspiring both a hair style and changes in legislation (surrounding domestic violence and more recently patient privacy). And she did it without posturing or campaigning but by simply choosing her own path and making her own rules. Farrah remained relevant to the very end. She will be remembered as the modern Mona Lisa and so much more. I will remember her as my friend.”– Craig J. Nevius

“Farrah debuted on the original Donny and Marie show with Lee Majors from The Six Million Dollar Man.   Standing next to this stunningly gorgeous woman as a teenager, there was no doubt in my mind that she was going to be a 600 million dollar star.  Many people have since asked me:  Was Farrah as beautiful in person?  The answer is yes.  And the courageous way she handled the trials in her life proves she was not only beautiful outside but inside as well.” - Marie Osmond
