Parker and Broderick's BetrayalMy heart is breaking for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. The struggle of dealing with infertility issues must be one of the hardest things a family can possibly go through and it is a private matter- end of story. Sarah Jessica and Matthew have always been a private couple, always trying to appease the paparazzi in order to maintain privacy for their family. They famously posed for photographers outside of the New York hospital where their son, James Wilke, was born in order to avoid masses of photographers clamoring for pricey first pictures of their baby. For the most part the New York press has been very respectful of them- after all, she is their (and our) beloved Carrie Bradshaw, if ever there was a quintessential New Yorker, she is it. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about certain national tabloids. When they found out that Sarah Jessica and Matthew were expecting twin girls via surrogate they decided to ‘out’ them, forcing the couple to speak publicly before they may have wanted to. But the real horror is that now two police chiefs- yes, you read that right, police chiefs- are being investigated for breaking into the home of the couple’s surrogate in order to find information to sell to a tabloid. When you become a celebrity you lose your anonymity; its part of the deal you make when you sign up. I can’t stand those ‘celebrities’ who are famous for being famous and bemoan their lack of privacy. But there is a difference between the celebrities who seek fame and those who actively seek their privacy. Sarah Jessica and Matthew are not out making sex tapes, they aren’t making endless trips to rehab; they are trying to expand their family. For goodness sake: Leave them alone! We will have the full details on this unbelievable story tonight on Showbiz Tonight at 11pm Eastern and Pacific on HLN- don't miss it! |

LEAVE THEM ALONE!! Where's Chris Crocker when you need him??
How does this celebrity story change our lives? Who cares?
What we should be shocked about are the following:
1-Police officers would break the law to get tabloid fodder?
2-Entertainment magazines focus on the surrogacy instead of the crime.
BTW, I got problems too – anybody want to pay me for my story????
and yeah, that goes for everyone else – how would you like if you got paid for people to talk about your problems? How would you like if your personal business makes it to CNN ?
"Leave them alone!"
"We will have the full details on this unbelievable story tonight..."
Make up your minds. Or should the first line say "Everybody but us, should leave them alone."?
@Zues
The accident happened years ago and Matthew was cleared of all charges. Let it lie as the police in Ireland have.
This story is ludicrous. And do I feel sorry for celebrities... not in the least. Sorry Showbiz Tonight.... not watching this garbage.

No one actually knows what happened. Yes, it is sad, but people are in car accidents everyday and they usually don't go to jail either when someone happens to die.
I agree leave them alone! If their job titles were different would we be interested in their family affairs, NO.
Don't fell sorry for Matthew....Feel sorry for Annie Gallagher the 30 yr old women he killed while vacationing in Ireland. He was driving on the wrong side of the road and killed this poor young women and her mother. I am sure she dreamed of having children. And by the way he never served jail time and got off with paying a fine. He could never explain what he was doing on the wrong side of the road. I think this is one lucky SOB. Talk to that poor family and tell them how sorry you feel for Matthew....What a joke.
I was shocked when I read this. I hope those cops are heavily fined and reprimanded for their action. New York doesn't have enough crime? When cops break the law it is a sad scary state. I wish SJP and Matthew well.
