My guilty pleasure? Sandra Bullock

Years ago I prided myself on NOT being the stereotypical girl who loved chick flicks more than action films. I enjoyed raunchy comedies and films with fast cars. I despised the actresses who were always falling in love on screen. Then Sandra Bullock made "Miss Congeniality."

Granted I was a freshman in high school. But to me, Bullock was "it." She had great comedic timing, a kick-butt attitude, and she wasn't your typical Hollywood leading lady.

Come on, you have to admit you've seen the movie. You fell in love with her, as I did, when she pulled the donuts out from between her thighs. But my adoration didn't stop there. I watched her in "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood." I rented "Two Weeks Notice" ... and promptly bought the film. "The Lake House"? Yep. I even saw "Premonition" in theaters twice - and it wasn't that great of a movie.

In short, I had turned into a full-fledged Bullock fan. Her next movie, "The Proposal," promises to keep that appetite going. CNN's David Daniel talked with Ryan Reynolds and Bullock about their new film in today's Movie Pass:

So what do you think of Bullock? Is she your favorite leading lady, or do you tend to gravitate away from her films?

LOVE her. I first saw her in Love Potion #9 with Tate Donavan. Ever since, she has been perhaps my favorite "non-celebrity." I say "non" because she somehow seems to have managed to remain a normal, NICE person. I will absolutely see The Proposal. Most RomComs are pretty lame these days, but having her in any film makes it more enjoyable. Honestly, can you imagine Nicole Kidman or Kate Hudson being willing to play the traffic/RV bathroom scene in Two Weeks' Notice? What's more, can you imagine any other actress pulling it off with such aplomb that you would believe that Hugh Grant would only fall in love with her further?

Best Get Smart was a hit at the Box Office and she is in the sequel that being Anne Hathaway.

Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses. She makes her movies from the ground up. She does not follow the Hollywood world, she lives as far away from that as possible.

She is in her 40's and having a love interest who is in his 20's no one bats an eye. Shows how well she chooses her work.

Last I heard she is reteaming with pal Sly Stallone for the Expandables.

She makes her own rules doing a great job at that.

My wife and I are dying to see the Proposal.

I Speed and maybe one or two others back in the day, but nothing else. She didn't do much for me. Then in 1999 I visited a friend in Japan, and in the small town she lived in the video store had very few English language movies, but for some reason they had a bunch of Sandra Bullock movies in English. So we had a Sandra Bullock movie-fest and thoroughly enjoyed it!! Needless to say, I became a fan and have been ever since. I think she's gorgeous and a blast and I can't wait to see Premonition!

SPEED was what made her famous. She also did a turn in a short but intensely powerful role in CRASH. My fave: WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING. She is wonderful. I like everything about her. She is beautiful, brainy, and yet so down to earth you forget how beautiful she is. The EveryWoman can relate to her.

Sandra Bullock needs to get a better agent. She should have made a lot better movies, more worthy of her acting abilities. Her carrer since While You Were Sleeping is mostly forgettable. She was in Speed 2, without Keanu Reeves, who wisely said no to the movie. Look at Anne Hathaway. Execpt for Get Smart, she has had a great carrer.
Sandra Bullock is an actress, but, she needs to appear in better films, or else get typecast real fast.

I became a fan with "Speed", but I'm not a fan of romantic comedies so I won't be seeing this. Any other genre is open. Her marrige to Jesse James kinda shocked me. He comes off like a jerk to me. I could be wrong about the man...

I like her – but why do you describe her as your "guilty pleasure"? Why would you be ashamed to admit you like her? I mean, it's not as if she's an Olsen twin, Paris Hilton or Nicole Ritchie – essentially talentedless women who are considered celebrities for reasons unknown. Sandra's gorgeous, talented and quite bright. She's a very successful business woman. I'm not trying to dis you – just think you could have picked a better term to describe her.

I love Sandra Bullock too! Practical Magic and Two Weeks Notice were my favorites. She always plays pretty much the same role, but I still really like her.

Saw The Proposal in a preview - very, very funny. A gem. Bullock is fabulous! Great cast, Betty White, Mary Steenburgen - and of course, Ryan Reynolds - eye candy and a good actor. Don't forget ther movie, Speed - she's great in drama as well as comedy! I would love more Bullock movies - and will go to every one - so please make lots and lots more, any type.

I love her but Premonition was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Glad I didn't pay to see it. I hope her new movie will be a blockbuster!
