Sneak Peek: 'Shutter Island'Leonardo DiCaprio's new film is for anyone (and by anyone, I mean everyone) who enjoyed "The Departed." The actor is teaming up again with Martin Scorsese for the new thriller "Shutter Island," set to release in early October. DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo play U.S. marshals investigating a hospital for the criminally insane. The fortress-like complex is on a remote, barren island off the Massachusetts coast and a murderess has mysteriously disappeared. Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max Von Sydow also star in the film. And we've got the trailer here: What do you think? Is this something you'll pay to see in theaters? |

I am a huge Lehane fan and this was a great book. Great choice of actors for the Movie!
not a big Leo fan. Only liked him in two movies...The Departed and What's eating Gilbert Grape...Oh no Romeo and Juliet too. But whatever, this looks like a great movie. I'm in.
will definitely see the movie.
I see everything Leo is in. He is my favorite actor.
I'd go see it in a New York minute, but why no mention of the great Ben Kingsley?
that hospital isn't that remote. i actually drive past it everyday going to work. its in Medfield, MA. hah
That looks so good, I cannot wait to see it....Coming from someone who watched The Departed like 50 times, it will be another winner for Scorsese and Dicaprio......
Absolutely!! I think Leo DeCaprio has gotten the shaft when it comes to acting awards. He's been long overlooked as a reputable actor and its high time he got his due!!!
I'd go see it in a New York, but why no mention of the great Ben Kingley?
Looks good, but am anxiously awaiting Scorsese's upcoming flick based on Frank Sheeran's life from Charles Brandt's book, 'I heard you paint Houses". I knew Frank as he was my Granfather's brother and had heard many stories of him while growing up.
I cannot wait to see it!!! Martin Scorsese is a master!!! Leo could get an Oscar nod for his role in the film!!!
How cool is it that Max Von Sydow is still in movies ?
It looks like another hammy performance from DiCaprio. Does eye-popping reactions and over-reacting really constitute good acting ?
I just don't see the appeal.
Pretty sure my daughter is an extra in this movie. Hope she wasn't cut out!
This looks pretty scary. Can't wait to be scared!!
It will be incredible....loaded with talent...a must see.
I loved the book! Can't wait to see the movie. And with Leonardo DiCaprio starring in it, I think he's a great pick for the role. It will be worth seeing.
"The Departed" was very disappointing. I hope this new film will be better.
Yes, I am completely in. Nuff said.
Looks like a winner!
I would definitely pay to see this. Look awesome.
sounds Great! can't wait to see it.
Looks smokin'!
COUNT ME IN!
Yes, i would pay to see this one. what a team!!!
I'd watch Leo open a box!
Yes,Yes,Yes!! Absolutely love Leo and Scorcesi!
The book is a blatant rip off Jonathan's Nolan's screenplay from Memento, however it should be interesting to see how Scorcese interprets the book on screen.
This looks amazing and I love the author of the book....Dicaprio is a great actor...Scorsese is incredible...win win...oh and the suppoting cast aint too bad...can't wait...
I would pay to see it in the theater!!!!! Can't wait!
I cannot wait for this to come out. Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese is well worth seeing. When you combine one of the greatest actors of our generation along with one of the greatest directors of our generation, you get magic!
The film looks great! Given the high calibre of on-screen talent and the collaboration between Scorcese (always phenomenal) and the writer, Lehane, how could it possibly miss? I hope that DiCaprio is finally recognized as the incredible actor he is. He has been shunned in the past for some top notch performances, but I hope he receives his due.
This looks good! I would definitely see it in the theaters. Great actors, good story and very spooky! Yeah, Scorsese!
Looks like a good one and yes I'll see it at the theater.
would I pay to see it?
without a doubt!!
I can't wait to see this! I loved the book....it's a kick of a story. And what a director. What a cast!
Von Sydow, Kingsley, Decaprio, Scorcese......I'd pay to go see them if they were doing a table reading of the phone book.
I like the fact that you mention Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max Von Sydow as starring in the film, but not the acting giant Ben Kingsley.
Perhaps edit to include him as well.
I liked this Dennis Lehane book more than Mystic River. A great thriller and with this team, should translate very well to the big screen.
No.
looks cool! i'd pay to see that.
