Jon and Kate under investigation!

Fans aren’t the only ones concerned about all of the cameras following the Gosselin children around on Jon & Kate Plus Eight.  The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry is checking to make sure that there aren't any laws being broken!  While viewers seem to think that it might be time to give the kids some privacy- especially while Jon and Kate work out their marital woes, the Department of Labor is concerned about the children's safety.

Troy Thompson, Spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry told me that after receiving a complaint an investigation has now been opened into whether any child labor laws are being broken.

In a statement to Showbiz Tonight, a TLC Spokeswoman says,

“TLC fully complies with all applicable laws and regulations.  Jon and Kate + 8 is no exception.  For an extended period of time, we have been engaged in cooperative discussions and supplied all requested information to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor.  We will continue to engage the appropriate officials and meet any standards or regulations that are applicable to TLC productions.”

We will have much more on this developing story tonight on Showbiz Tonight at 11pm Eastern and Pacific on HLN.

Tom Hanks goes back to WWII

He's no stranger to the genre. Tom Hanks, star of "Angels & Demons," is returning to World War II with a new documentary titled "Beyond All Boundaries." And singer Barbra Streisand is writing her first book. "A Passion for Design," due out in 2010, features her love for American architecture between 1790 and 1904.

Plus "Spider-Man" star Willem Dafoe and "24" actor Jon Voight will be honored in Las Vegas on June 14. CNN's KJ Matthews has more on these tidbits in today's buzz:
