Top 3: America has spoken** SPOILER ALERT: Wednesday night’s blog reveals the contestant leaving the show. Do not visit the last entry of the blog if you do not want to know the results. ** I gotta say, I think I may have underestimated America. I so wanted to see Kris in the finals, but I really thought the Gokey fans were going to keep him in the game. So are you shocked? Does this make for a better finale or not? We want to hear from you. Do not visit this entry of the blog if you do not want to know the results. ** He had a great run, but now Danny is done. ![]() We learn that Adam beat him out, and now Danny is headed home having never even been in the bottom two. He gives us one last performance of "You Are So Beautiful," and I feel a tear. This entire season was, as he pointed out, one of triumph for him, and he goes out classy. Aww Gokey. Simon gets the last word, and he sounds almost at a loss. Top 3: Guess who is safe?** SPOILER ALERT: Wednesday night’s blog reveals the contestant leaving the show. Do not visit the last entry of the blog if you do not want to know the results. ** OMG! OMG! OMG! Kris is safe!!!!! Top 3: Katy Perry wakes up in VegasKaty Perry is dressed like a freaky, chick Elvis. ![]() I get it since her song is "Waking Up in Vegas" and she mentions dressing up like Elvis in the song, but along with the feather-plumed showgirls, it's all a bit much for me. The camera dude is loving those shots from the back as Katy displays her assets in her sparkly costume. And should she really have had Adam's name on the back of her cape even though the voting was already done? No wonder he spoke up and said he wanted to see her perform! There is just so much happening on the stage that I'm not sure I am even really hearing the song. And perhaps that was the point. I'm with Danny in wanting to know already. Top 3: Adam Lambert makes them crazyAdam looks like he is mixing jailhouse rock with plain ol' rock with the striped shirt and leather. ![]() We learn that some chick in San Diego got naked and streaked on stage. I love that he does the eyeliner of the weather forecaster at the local news station. She probably never looked so good and maybe makeup artist can be his fall-back plan if this "Idol" thing doesn't work out. Check him out at the theater where he performed as a child. You could tell by the look on his face that speaking with the kids was touching him and the children looked like they were in heaven. I want to gobble up the little cherub who asked in his baby voice, "How did you get so good at singing and dancing?" He was adorable! The multigenerational Lambs are in full effect, and Adam's mommy sheds a tear. Back to Ryan, who lets us know that Adam can also go sit down. Results already please!!! Top 3: Jordin Sparks is backJordin Sparks sings her new single, "Battlefield," and is accompanied by the song's writer, One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder. ![]() She is looking quite glam, but it took me a minute to figure out she was singing "You better go get your armor," because it sounded like she was saying, "You better go get your drama." I love those songs that have built-in, misheard lyrics. She looks about 10 feet tall in the mini-dress, and I am slightly freaked out by the scary look she throws into the camera at the end of the song, complete with dramatic lighting that on my screen made her look like she was almost glowing green.
