Top 4: Chatting with the kids

Kris is so humble, but Adam talks about the show like he owns it: "When we got the Zeppelin song ..."

He knows he is the man.

Danny thinks that awful note as the end of his song was his "funniest moment on 'American Idol.' " I so wasn't laughing.

Allison is trying to show a little personality. You go, little rocker chick!

Idolcritic, excellent commentary, couldn't agree with you more...

In San Diego CA a TV reporter asked Danny if he was using the pitty vote way too much...amazingly he runned away from it...

doesn't come through as a true person...

Kris Allen is a sleeper, simply because of his following, mostly young girls, he's not a bad singer, he has hit some good tunes...

Since Ring of fire, Adam Lambert has kept all the audience of the show in the edge of their seats waiting to see, like Kara said, what he's going to do next...
He raises the level of the show every week, we have friends in Mexico, and Australia, by cable and internet they see AI....100% agreement for Adam Lambert...even friends of ours in Guadalajara vote every week for them...keep in mind that those calls cost them as international calls...Go ADAM!!!...
    He's a real superstar.....

Nice comment Link, I totally agree with you. These kids are all fantastic and it's been really great watching each and every one of them. Sometimes they fall a little flat, but it's always entertaining. I'm not sure why so everyone gets so emotional [and nasty!] about it... It's just a TV show, let's not get so carried away. And the crude comments are really disappointing. What has our society come to...

I am so sorry to see yet another unnecessary and unfounded comment regarding Adam's (or anyone elses) attitude. I believe that the "we" Adam was referring to is he, his advisors and the show getting permission to use the song. Too bad this was not verified before making this comment.

When a person is exceptional, some people feel it is necessary to make negative comments about them which speaks volumes for the character of the commenter. Unfortunately this tactic is used in many of the comments I see. It would be nice if people were accurate and did not fabricate or deliberately and incorrectly interpret information–but everyone has a right to freedom of thought and speech and so this will continue.

My feeling is that they are all very talented and deserving individuals and I hope they all succeed in their careers. There is a place in the entertainment industry for everyone of them. I enjoy and appreciate watching them–it takes a lot of courage and talent to do what they are doing. Congratulations and good luck to all.

Kris should have been sent home. He is a nice kid, humble and sweet but, he doesn't believe in himself and is the least talented left. This is supposed to be a singing contest, they are not auditioning for altar boy!
Danny was totally annoying last night. He was man enough to acknowledge his awful screaming but was cocky enough to have to listen to the song first before believing the judges. But laughing about it all night (?????), obviously he is totally over the death of his wife...... Not that you shouldn't move on with your life Danny, but I thought your comments were over the top.
I was sorry to see Allison leave and would have loved to see an Adam/Allison final. Adam's talent is in a league of its own and those who don't admit it have their own agenda. I love it when people post a comment about pushing the mute button when Adam performs – no wonder they have no idea what he is all about. If you are rooting for Kris or Danny because you think they are better 'role models' or more main-stream America (whatever that is supposed to be), then clean up your comments to fall in line with what you think those two represent. I'm sure they would be horrified to read what some of their supporters post on these blogs – or would they?! Hmmmmmmm.

Danny can stand and sing with an arrogant look on his face, but Adam is an amazing singer, and he also gives a performance. I'm a great-granny, and Adam's my man!!

Adam using the term "we" is not in appropriate or arrogant in any way. "We" meaning he and the show collectively gets permission, not him individually. "I" would have been more arrogant. The author has revealed his bias against Adam.

Danny is so smug, boring, lifeless, dorky, pudgy, horrible, etc......

I just checked out a video with Danny's scream at the end and he is absolutely right........his scream was the funniest thing ever heard on Idol! I'm not trying to be mean; it just cracks me up!

The use of "we" makes sense...all of the contestants are assigned a mentor and "coach" that helps them with the song selection, phrasing, arrangement (working with the orchestra), etc. So, it is a collective effort...just as it is in the music industry. Unless, of course, you get to be a really BIG name star, then you can call the shots. But in most cases, the studios call a lot of the shots in the beginning of a star's career.

The contentents should be confident at this point – Kris lacks it sorely which makes me like him less.

I don't see a problem with Adam using "we".....there is probably some sort of team of people they work with to pick songs and get permissions etc. They have referenced these people before, I believe. I think that is the "we" Adam was referencing.

Adam is the voice to beat, but I still think Kris is the "sleeper superstar" !!!!

If Danny didn't admit he was terrible, then he would have looked so completely and utterly delusional. Better to cut his losses.

I have loved Danny since day 1 but after saw Adam sing Ring of Fire and than keep going with amazing renditions of songs-I was hooked. He is just so great..When Danny sang last night I actually cringed and was just horrified for him-my 19 month old grandbaby learned a new word, which she repeated all night...Terrible.

I'm really getting tired of the author bashing Danny. He is clearly the most talented and thus will be the next American Idol. Show some respect. There's a reason he gets rave reviews from the judges (and America) week in and week out.

Do you think Adam actually meant himself instead of "we". Maybe he requested it and the producers had to see if they could license it to use it, maybe??? I dunno.....I like him....I've occasionally used "we" when I was more appropriate..

I posted this elsewhere but I like that Danny acknowledged how bad he was. Lil' would have been swearing up and down she was great. Danny admitted it. I give him props for that.
