Top 7 Part Two: Not so bad

All in all, disco night didn't suck as much as I envisioned.

Two people sealed their fate tonight and at this point, I have my duo picked out.

Who do you think danced their last dance tonight?

Don't forget to join us Wednesday night for the results show to see who will be heading home.

Post your comments below or head over to iReport to share videos of your reaction to tonight’s performances.

Your comment or video could appear on CNN!

I think Idol should give 2nd and 3rd prizes.....Several thousand dollars could mean everything to them, and Simon, with all his millions would not miss it.............

I knew it would be Lil and Anoop. However, I didn't think Allison would be in the bottom three...it must have been the outfit. Whomever is dressing Allison take this helpful hit....LESS is MORE. Allison your young talented and hip.....please change the color of your hair, it turn off a lot of people. Everyone I know say the same thing...it's hard for me to look at Allison....its the color of your hair. Matt loose the hat. Danny I like your glasses....it's what make you so dare cute and loveable. Chris....you are very talented keep up the good work. ADAM..WHAT CAN I SAY TO PERFECTION NOT ONLY TO LOOK AT...BUT YOUR STAGE PRESENTS IS AWSOME....YOUR THE BEST THIS YEAR....RIGHT UP THERE WITH DAUGHTRY AND COOK. I LIKE WHAT I SEE ON THE INSIDE. YOU DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR ANYTHING YOU DIDN'T DO AND YOU GIVE CREDIT TO THOSE THAT HELP YOU. YOU ARE MY IDOLLLLLLLLL

I am sorry to see Anoop gone – he was the only reason I watched American Idol – never watched in the past and won't watch again. I just loved to hear Anoop sing – that is what the show is about isn't it? Singing? If you dowload songs sung by the various contenders, none sound as good as Anoop – the others all screech, mumble the words so you can't understand what they are saying – most of the music is sung by the background singers – Anoop had great sound, pitches, melody and what I also liked about him – he seemed to be a real person – my ideal of what an American Idol should be. Good luck Anoop – I know not only do you have a great voice but you have a brain and I know no matter what you do – you will be a success. I am only sorry that I won't be able to watch you sing any longer but the upside to that is I won't have to go through the others. I hope you make an album though. Congrats for making it this far on such a contrived show!!!

We all knew Tuesday who was going home.
    NO shock there.
I really think Adam is going to be the new american idol
Did not like him or his style in the beginning but now think he is fantastic.

I really like Lil. I hope she can go on to bigger things, but when it came down to who would be eliminated, I would have picked her as one of the two.

As for Anoop, I'm glad to see him gone. He didn't sound good at all. At this point of the competition, it should have been alot better. It was definitely karaoke.

Simon has said this over and over – " Pick the right song, put your own spin on it, be unique and entertaining." Only one contestant answers
the call. Adam. The rest just don't cut it. Game, set and match. If he
doesn't win the fix is in.

America got it right last night by sending home Lil & Anoop. I am so glad that Matt made it through again, he deserves it. Now for the guest singers. Freda Payne, my god there comes a time when you really should not get back on stage to sing. She may have been good in her day but she sounded horrible last night, not to mention she was totally out of breath. And KC you need to call it quits dude, you were the worst, could barely here you over the back up singers whihc is a good thing because you do not have a singing voice anymore.

Anoop, Lil, just those I guessed. I was surprised that "redhair" was again in the bottom (two). I am worried about her, because I really think she should be in the final. Adam should win it, she should be the second.

Simon always says that "this is a singing competition". It really isn't, or it shouldn't be. Just look at the real stars/past real idols out there. My favorite example is Bob Dylan. The man doesn't have a voice, never had a voice. Any voice. The man can barely "speak on tune" let alone sing. Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits). Huge star without a voice to speak of. Many similar examples. Sure they all had some additional talents, but that's just it, it is almost never only the singing voice what makes an idol an idol.

Tough times for Idol talent as the Finals are not far away. Darwin's theory is airtight, and the fittest move on. Matt and Danny can go home. They're definitely next. Then the top three...and you know...Chris can go...and then there are two. Tough call. They're both different, they're both deserving. Allison and Adam. Two "A's" Two winners. Let's have a tie...Chris becomes the technical runner-up, and we're left with two awesome, champion entertainers.... Not 'gonna happen? OK. 1) Adam 2) Allison. That's how season 8 comes to an end.... you can take it to the bank.

Not a decent one left in the bunch. They are ALL boring, stale, self-indulgent, and annoying. Especially the three that screech and scream their way through every miserable song (Allison, Lil, and Adam). It's getting to be old stuff already. No uniqueness among any of them. I'd rather watch paint dry.

L'l is not a great singer. A great singer is the one who can sing anything. L'l hasn't performed well every week so I am just tired of listening to judges saying that she's a great singer. That's pure BS. Watch Adam's performance one more time and you will see how he manufactures the same expressions and sounds like what he did in the past few weeks. For shows, he wins because none of the other kids have his theatrical tricks. Allison can only sing one way and her voice is not that great. Who is going to write songs for her? Why do I want to buy her CDs? What is her niche, really? I can listen to Kelly Clarkson and other female rockers singing their own songs. Matt chose the wrong song. His performance was awkward because he is not that type of singers who can rock or sing Bee Gees.

We have watched Idol since the second season. Have been to every live tour since season 2. We are very disappointed in the tour schedule and dates. A couple of years we were in "hog heaven" because the tour came to South Central PA - to Hershey. Two years in a row we traveled to Atlantic City because the show was on a Saturday. This year - there is no show close to our area on a weekend, which means other than taking off work - which we really can't arrange - we will not be able to see AI Live. What about us people in South Central PA - don't we count??? There is the Luhr's Center in Shippensburg, PA and the Giant Center in Hershey - how about it???? The last year the tour was in Hershey - they hit there twice. I was at both and I believe both shows were sold out. So what is this all about?

Sorry Adam has talent but it's almost comical now to see what his whole hair, (make up) and outfit will be. He couldn't do it last night.

Kris could. He rewrote a song and played it – that is an artist.

Madonna can put on a good show so can Brittney
but what music 'talent' do they have in the music industry.
That is what it comes down to.

Danny is ok. last night was alright and I fear everyone knows he's an emotional heart on his sleeve guy.
No doubt he can sing but he can't dance or put on a show.
    He looks constipated.

Kris sealed his fat last night – showed he is part of the music industry not a boy band.

Every week, I get uberhyped to see what Adam is going to do. I absolutely adore Allison as well, but Adam is someone that I feel honored to see each week before he "makes it big". Last night, when Adam sang, I honestly got chills all over and almost cried. The emotion and heart was just that intense. He puts all of himself into each and every song that he performs, and that's why I love him. He's my vote for winner, with *crossing fingers* Allison as runner-up.

Anoop is a fratty boy with a decent voice...he could try musical theatre or lounge singing, which is where Matt belongs. I like Allison, she's young and can be trained to control that voice. I like Kris more and more each week, don't love him, but his performances are always good to me. I think Danny has quite a large following born from sympathy, and I cannot even imagine what he's been through, but that doesn't mean he's "idol" worthy. Adam needs to go away...

Well rumor has it (as heard from a radio DJ) Anoop and Lil rounds will be let go tonight. I think Anoop is the right call, but not so sure about Lil Rounds as I find her more entertaining than Matt and Kris. But because of her lack of originality, I can see why the judges would let her go, but man has she got some pipes. She also seems stubborn as to what is the right songs for her to sing. Anyway, Matt and Anoop should be the ones going home tonight. As Matt's big save last week served absolutely no purpose and prolonged the inevidable, in fact it may have just sunk Lil Rounds instead which really stinks because she has allot of potential I think. Its all a mute point anyway, for I am sure most of us know who the top three will be. For the Record; Adam, Danny and Allison are going all the way. Good luck top three.

I hope Lil do lose so she can be picked up by someone who will groom for what she can really do. To me she is a diamond in the rough. Look at Jennifer Hudson how they dogged her and look at her now. Just wait Lil your day is coming and America will have to apologize to you like they did Jennifer. Adam is going to scream himself off the map. How long has he been trying to make it and no one has ever heard of him, Anoop is the 2nd diamond in the rough, he will be a star one day and America will have to apologize to him also. The judges really stink, they wouldn't know real talent if it hit them in the face. See any of them with hit records?

I think Lil knows she is going to be eliminated.

Weeks ago she should have stopped TALKING and started LISTENING to the judges. The judges usually offer good critiques and the WISE "star-wannabee" will take what they are telling them to heart. It seems as if some of the contestants (Lil, Megan Joy and Anoop come to mind) have issues with authority figures and end up copping an attitude.

I also think that Lil lost her confidence, as she was a stand out at the beginning. For that, I feel badly for her, even though she was never my favorite.

with this years group, i think adam, allison, and kris would have the best record sells and concerts. i loved danny in the beginning but he is starting to bore me.

adam and kris won the night. i must admit that kris has grown on me. at first, i thought people were only voting for him cause he was a pretty face but he has real talent. he does every song in his own version. i thought, with it being disco night, that it was going to go over horribly but i was suprised. a couple of the songs could have passed for current. i think simon was right, i think tonight will be the last time we see lil, and she'll be taking anoop with her. they both can sing but neither are original and keep picking weird songs just cause they think it will please the judges. they should have picked songs that showed who they are and what they can do.

i stil with my main top four still which is adam, allison, danny, and kris.

Sorry folks, getting tired of the flamboyant Adam. His performance last night wasn't exactly what the judges described. The ridiculous adulation from the judges is becoming nauseating. His makeup, black fingernail polish and screaming voice are meant for musical theater....which is exactly what he's been doing his entire life. Kris rocked his performance. Danny is overrated. Lil and Matt need to go. Anoop has a nice voice but zero stage presence. Every song Allison sings sounds exactly the same. Are you crazy? Disco night not so bad? That was one of the worst night's in Idol's history. Every performer was way off the mark, and the song choices were boring. I feel bad for Lil too. The judges should really pay attention to what they tell contestants from week to week. She's been making the changes judges suggest & pulling them off, then got slammed by the judges for doing essentially what they suggested in weeks prior. They think they're helping, but this season it's pretty obvious all they've done is confuse the contestants...

I think the concensus is that Lil, Matt and Anoop are the next 3 leaving. I have to agree. No star power feel from any of them. As far as the remaining 4, here is my analysis for what its worth:

Danny: Very talented but has stagnated during the competition-entertaining but nothing new ever comes out.

Allison: Amazing voice and talent to spare; however, she is so young. Just don't thing the maturity is there for the role of AI. She'll get there, just not this year.

Adam: Wow! What an entertainer! Great voice and presence. I think his other musical/arranging skills aren't as honed as other contestants. He has great appeal but not to "the masses." AI is looking for an idol who reaches the most people.

Kris: Obviously, my choice. Unbelievable talent across the board: vocals, musicality, arrangement skills, instrumentals, originality, consistent and progressive, great looks, approachable personality, small town boy made good, you name it, he has it! Something for everyone.

America may not agree and Adam might win, but Kris will be the lasting success.

Lil is a great singer BUT she's not an artist. She's not creative enough to come up with her on vibe, she mimics other singers. And she just doesn't "get it"...I was really pulling for her though but she's not ready. The defeated look on her face when the judges don't "rave" about her is evidence that she's not ready for the music industry. And then, she's always talking back and NOT listening and making changes based on what they are telling her. Shut up and LISTEN! The judges (even Paula at times) give good advice and when the contestants listen and apply it, it works out for them...

OMG! Disco music is all about rhythm, energy and celebration of love and life in general, but why do these kids chose these boring, over played songs all the time? When u want to be an ARTIST you should know about music in general not only the ones ur wonna sing, look at rapers nowadays they used a lot of disco, rock, classic and country music to compose their songs, please cultivate yourselves intelectually before you present yourselves to the world representing us americans!!!!!

Disco music is for dancing and have crazy fun, a ballad is a ballad even if the singer is Donna Summer or was created in the 70s therefore to me that's not "DISCO", having said that I also want to point out that I hate that every bloody year the same old songs are sang over and over (I'm every woman, I will survive, Staying Alive, etc), when there's a wide range of tunes from that era that are beautiful, up beat, popular and less people are tired or listening to!!!!!

I believe Simon is right on the money as usual. Lil – Matt should go. Lil just don't or want to understand what the judges have been trying to tell her. She has a voice but she imitates all the time. Matt needs to stop trying to be and look like Justin Timberlake, and he might find himself. Kris was good, Danny was okay – Allison has a voice and Adam has it all.

Also, last night it was VERY obvious that they wanted to make sure Lil goes home with the comments that were made. I felt that was unnecessary. She probably would have gone home anyway. Since they don't have a save left, they want to make sure one of the top two doesn't end up out the door.

I think most of America (and many of the posters on this blog for that matter) is tone deaf and talent blind. I've read several posts comparing Matt to Justin Timberlake. However, just because Matt wears a hat cocked to the side and sings with soul doesn't mean he's a Justin Timberlake knock-off. Instead, in my humble opinion, Matt sounds more like Robin Thicke – a truly talented R&B artist whose music I thoroughly enjoy. Matt is amazing on the keys and his vocals are phenomenal. From a talent stand point, he is easily one of the most talented performers on the show. His performance last night solidified my vote for him. When Matt goes, I will stop watching because the show will turn into what I truly despise – a big karaoke contest dictated by tone deaf teenaged voters.

Now, on the other hand, we keep hearing about Lil's "potential" – I am yet to hear a good performance out of her. Danny reminds me of the show choir kids at my old high school – he can carry a tune, but he is not very good at all (please, I dare someone to tell me that this guy isn't Taylor Hicks Part Deux). And, Anoop is better served going home – he is what I truly dispise about this competition, i.e., he reminds me of a frat boy at a karaoke bar.

    Bottom 3 (from a non-tone deaf viewer):

    1. Lil Rounds
    2. Anoop
    3. Danny

Finally, I don't understand the love affair with Adam. Can he sing? I won't deny that for a second. But, I'd much rather hear him in a broadway show than on the radio in my car.

To me it feels like the male singers are putting in some high notes just for the sake of them being there. It's not all that musical to do so, and it generally produces mixed results with the performers. But since Simon raves about Adam's vocal range, though, why not add a little falsetto out of the blue? A couple of inflections up there between stanzas certainly shows off your musicality. /Sarcasm

I didn't much like disco week at all except for Kris's performance. For me, he was the outright winner. Lil is all but out of this competition. Danny did great, but his performances never stick out in my mind. Allison sang decently this week. Adam did his thing again, which was good except the random screechiness in the middle of it (see above paragraph). Matt did okay despite Simon's critique, but he has shaky control of his upper range. Anoop was spot on, but the song bored me.

You know, I thought disco week was gonna be a bore. Lo and behold, it was. We know who the three candidates for the bottom are. I put in my twenty votes for my favorite of the night, who I now think might have a shot at the final. We'll see what happens tonight.

I fail to see how any of the comments were racist. Idol has had many black singers on the show, several of whom have made it big! Lil just isn't that good. She lost herself somewhere along the way after starting out great. You can make anything about race if you try, but the fact remains that not everything is about race. This time it is truly about talent. I love Adam, but I gotta say that Kris beat him this week, he was fabulous! I hated Lil's performance, once again, not original and not on key. Anoop was just horrible and in my opinion should have gone home weeks ago. Ballads seem to be the only thing he can do. Allison, what are you wearing? Who in the world dresses you? The blind guy dressed better than you! I agree with previous posts that her songs are too adult given her age, and she did seem to be screaming the whole time.

I will say right now that Adam won't win for the same reason David Archuleta didn't win. I'm not saying he isn't a fantastic performer but he his so different that you really love him or hate him. I think he already has about as many fans as he is going to have. Which is a lot and surely enough to get him into the final. But as others get eliminated their fans will have to pick a new favorite and if you look at all the other contestants, their fans will most likely not pick Adam.

I believe the same thing happened to David Archuleta last year. He started out with a huge buzz and nothing but praise every week from the judges. Just like Adam. But over the course of the season people that weren't already Archuleta fanatics just got fed up with the constant praise and he faced a rising wave of votes that ended up putting their power behind David Cook because he was the only option left.

Just like in the real music business the same applies on Idol: too much too fast can kill your long term success.

P.S. David Archuleta played a show at the glass house in Pamona California (a suburb of LA) a few months ago. The glass house is smaller than a high school cafeteria. It probably holds about 350 people tops and he couldn't fill it up.

If you have watched idol over the years they have had great black singers including Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Vonzell Soloman and Anwar Robinson. Just because one of yours was blasted doesn't mean they are racist, do your homework. Many of our singers have been blasted thru the year. This year the good singers are Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey. What do you want from us??? Do you have to win every year??Find some good talent and then we will talk!

Having said that, I enjoy Adam's performances each week and am amazed at the range he has, but I agree with an earlier post that he does not need this competition to be a star. Danny is Mr. Consistent each week; some would say that's boring, but he has always been one of my favorites. Lil, sorry girl, but your 15 minutes are over for now. Kris stole the show last night; it sounded like Donna Summer's classic hit with the rhythm of Long Train Runnin' by the Doobie Brothers mixed into it – definitely the best song of the night.

Well that was a night to see who can take a type of music that is long past its prime and create something that was new and might have a market out there for it. That is what the top performers will have to do after Idol. With that in mind Lil, Anoop and Matt, time to head home you three. I know only two will be sent home, but sadly one of them at least will have to suffer one more week. Bottom line its Adam's contest to lose. First of all, I agree with the judges that this is the most talented final 7 group they've had. I'm having a tough time deciding who should go, but of this I'm certain: The 3 out of this group who should definitely stay are Adam, Allison, and Chris. Adam, by far, has the greatest vocal ability (range, tone, and pitch), originality, and versatility. He's been my favorite since Hollywood Week, and he continues to impress me. Chris and Allison are also consistent. (I think I've come to select Chris as my second favorite for this competition, replacing Matt who has been less impressive the past 2 weeks) Out of my bottom 4, I think the first one to be eliminated is Lil' Rounds. She appeared to be trying too hard, but her vocals fell short and, at times, appeared very weak, which is in stark contrast to the original version of the song, "Every Woman." The next person to be eliminated this week, I believe, will be Anoop. Unfortunately, people usually remember the first and last parts of information (due to memory capacity), and his last note was quite flat. If Anoop doesn't leave, it will be Matt, which, to me, is quite sad, because he seems like a genuinely likable contestant who is quite humble. His performance seemed desperate. He has a tremendous amount of talent, but vocally, he can't compete with my top 3 (or Danny, who is probably closest in style). Although I didn't enjoy Danny's performance this week, I believe that he has enough of a fan base to keep him around another week or 2.

Well, my two cents is that Danny's voice is the most unique voice on the show. He has that "smokey" sound, unique that no other singer can give. Of course everyone loves Adam, well, yes, he can reach those high notes screaming. That is his ace in the hole. He does breath in when going to the next verse and giving the audience that "special little noise" that gives him his sound. I for one, think Danny is an original. Chris is good too. His strong point is how he arranges the different songs and "makes them his" and pulls it off. Adam doe that too, however, if he doesnt scream, he cant do it. My vote is on Danny. His sound is breathtaking, clean, unique, matured, and just plain star quality (without screaming). Go Danny Go, this Ohio State Buckeye girl is pulling for YOU!

I loved the song, and a dance disco song would not have allowed him much room for "making it his own". But come on, wouldn't it have been fascinating if he sang Night Fever? Or Staying Alive? We'll all sing and dance along, and he'll get a falsetto-joy-ride with these songs!

Loved them all except for Lil. Loved Chris.. I, contrary to everyone else, thought that Matt nailed Stayin Alive. Allison is still my favorite next to Adam. I agree with the notion that perhaps Adam is beyond the comp and should head straight to Vegas or Broadway. He's my stand alone fave, though. I'll pay to see Adam.. I think that Chris and Allison both have potential to sell millions of records.. Danny is brilliant.. but... maybe just a wee bit boring... then there's Anoop.. the boy can sing! but someone's got to go so:
    1. Adam 2. Allison 3. Chris 4. Danny 5. Matt 6. Anoop 7. Lil

Once again, Adam brings down the house! He's just an incredible talent and should win American Idol if it is truly based upon singing ability! Allison proved tonight that she is also a contender for the finals. And, Kris once again stepped up to the plate, performed brilliantly, and deserved the judges praise.

The two that should go home based upon tonight's performances are Lil and Anoop. Although Matt or Danny should also be in the bottom three.

Danny has lost his initial appeal and Tuesday after Tuesday brings ho-hum performances to the stage. Frankly, I liked Matt's performance more than Danny's, but believe that Danny's bigger fan base will probably keep him out of the bottom three.

In general, I don't really like disco much.
It really wasn't as peppy as I'd expected, but it was alright.
But unlike a lot of the other posters, I honestly think most of them were pretty good tonight.

I don't care for Lil, but I even thought SHE sounded decent. But if they send her home tomorrow, I'm totally okay with that.

I liked what Kris did with that song–I wasn't sure what to expect when they said that's what he was doing, but I actually liked the arrangement.

Allison was good, just as she always is. I still enjoyed her voice, though the song didn't really work great for her style, IMO.
The girl is just a rocker!

Now I'm not a "Matt fan", but I thought he sounded pretty good tonight. I am still wondering why they saved him last week though, and I'm wondering if this week could be it for him.

Anoop was okay too. He's always hot and cold to me–I didn't feel like this was one of his best performances, despite what Kara said–and I'm not sure HE'S not done after tonight, but I guess I would rather see him go than some of the others.

Adam was one I was really waiting to see what the heck he was going to do on Disco night! I do agree that it showed another side of him, and whether he wins it all or not, I think he can have a decent career ahead of him. I'm not head over heels for the guy, but I can't say I wouldn't buy anything from him either. I guess I have grown to enjoy his sound a little more..though I am still a bit tired of hearing about how WONDERFUL he is, too.

Danny is still my favorite, and I think he was excellent as always. I read once he could "do no wrong". Now I'm not sure I agree with THAT, but I'm real close! I would really like to see him win the competition.

In closing, my opinion on the bottom three tomorrow are Anoop, Matt, and Lil. (Although unfortunately I could also see Allison in there somewhere too.)
I see Lil and Anoop going home.

And my final two are still Danny and Adam!

Normally, I love Adam's performance – but not tonight. I watched it twice to be sure, and I just can't figure out why Paula was shaking like a leaf at the end of it. Loved Chris – very original... Matt and Lil need to pack it up. Hope Anoop will make it another week or two... Enjoyed Danny tonight... When Allison sings, I forget she's only 16. When I remember, I'm a little repulsed at her singing songs that are so sexual.

I think Anoop needs to go. If he writes great songs and can produce, maybe he'll have a career but just as a singer, I can't see it.

Also Lil, I agree with the judges, she's a great singer but doesn't seem to know who she is musically.

Matt didn't do well either, but disco wasn't his best and I think he's really talented.

Lil – She tried, but it wasn't near good enough to get her past this week.

Kris – fantastic. I thought he would bomb this week. With a regular disco type toon he would have. Thankfully he realized that and rearranged the song to suit his style. So very cool.

Danny – he screamed the entire song. I don't know what they are hearing in the theatre, but his vocal wasn't good.

Allison – I really liked the beginning. Didn't like the heavy rock arrangement to it. She looked like she was straining to hit the notes. She sounded good in the end, but it looked strained.

Adam – magnificent. And major cudos to Adam for giving props to the person who helped with the arrangement. The man can do ballads and rock with equal brilliance. That is rare.

Matt – Reminded me of Justin Timberlake if he did a Bee Gees song. However at this point I want original – and this wasn't original enough. There were some outstanding performances tonight, and Matt wasn't one of those.

Anoop – I agree with Simon (though not as rudely). I thought the arrangement sounded dated. His vocals were good (but I've heard better from him). He looked great though.

    Best of the night

    Worse of the night:
Danny (I really did hate his vocal that much). However he's got a large fan base. He won't be going home this week.

    Bottom 3:

    Going home

Adam is incredibly talented and will probably win this year – even those of you who do not like him or appreciate his style would have to admit that he is the breakout "star" of the season. Despite his theater background, Adam's first album will not be showtunes – let's get real. Who knows – maybe he'll lead the charge for a new generation of "glam alternative rock."

In addition to Adam, I think Kris is a real contender and is a far worthier competitor for the "title" than Danny Gokey. Kris has delivered week in and week out and has gotten stronger throughout the competition. To me, Kris is the Season 8 contestant who best exemplifies the artistic growth that a competition like Idol aims to achieve. I really hope that Kris makes it to the final with Adam. Allison is my other favorite – powerhouse voice and incredible stage presence that will only get stronger as she matures. I would love to see her make the Top 3.

I am so sick of the racist practices of this show and its producers. They select only one Black male and a few Black females in the beginning, and then dump the male right away; they slowly get rid of the Black females. Who set the rule that only white males can compete for the final 12? Who set that rule? The old codger music producer? Sure he does, but it still is morally and ethically wrong. And pretty disgusting in this day and time. This show is a scam and everyone should hear. All the "judges" conspired to pound on Lil tonite and said nothing but good things about everybody else. She also is very talented; remember each of the others had some rough times this season too. This is disgusting. Stop the predjudice practices "American" Idol and remember that this is an inclusive nation!!!

For those who think Adam is only good for Broadway, remember that MTV is still a popular showcase for music videos. I can imagine that Adam would create some amazing videos for his songs. Lil is still there because she is the "vote for the worst" candidate. I wonder how they will handle the "two going home" tomorrow. Will they pick out the bottom four, and then declare one safe, and then the other one?

Disco was peppy and fun, but you would never know that by listening to tonight's show. It was depressing. The only contestant who sang "real" disco was Danny. Lil tried, but it was awful. That's really too bad, because I thought she had a great chance at the beginning of the final 12. I like Adam, Chris, Danny, and Allison. Lil and Anoop can be a bit cocky, and it makes me cringe to watch Matt sing. His voice may sound very good at times, but, to me, he doesn't have the "it" factor of a star. Nothing about him makes me want to listen to him, let alone watch him.

I think it will be Danny or Kris in the final 2 with Adam of course. Kris blew me away tonight. I wasn’t that hip on him at first, but he gets better every week and he is the real deal. Since Adam is sooo not straight (not that there’s anything wrong with that-it just doesn’t win the girls over as much) Kris surely has the young girl vote going for him. Allison just doesn’t do it for me. The way she sings is cool, but just doesn’t fit her age, plus I just can’t see buying an album from her, not sure why.
I loved Danny in the beginning, but he is getting a little stale, but he is still great, and do to the fact he probably still has the sympathy vote, he will be sure to make the final 3, if not the final 2, just depends whether he or Kris screws up first.
Noop, this guy has got it going, just not good enough to make it another week, but maybe he will be lucky. Matt was ok, and Lil was less than ok. They should not have saved Matt last week because there was no way he would make it to the finals, so in my mind it was a waste.

I thought Lil had so much potential at the beginning, but I see her and Anoop going.

I disagree with those who don't like Matt. He has a really good voice. I am a singer, though not American Idol caliber. Staying on tune, not being pitchy, not rushing the music are all difficult to do, much less doing it in front of an audience and on national television. He has potential.

My final two. I'd love to see Danny and Adam with Adam being number 2. Adam will be a star no matter what; Idol will allow Danny to fly.

I can't believe Lil is still in it. She hasn't done an original version of anything forever. She has got to go. I was secondarily pained by Matt. Please send these two home! For some reason, I like Anoop 'cause he has a great voice. But Adam blows everyone off the map. It's hard to believe he's never made it BIG before now. Chris is my second-favorite - very cute and original arrangements. Allison can sing her brains out, but whoever is dressing her should be shot. Everybody loves Danny, so he's a shoo-in. Think that covers it all.

BORING!!!!! But then again I despise disco, so my take may be a little biased. Although Allison's whole sexual seduction vibe was a little strange considering her age, her vocals amaze me every week. I was really dissapointed when the judges used their save on Matt last episode, simply because I'm pretty sure that America will get it wrong and vote Allison off in the next couple of weeks. Lil was horrendous, but no one should be surprised. She's great with riffs and has a decent range, but each time I hear her sing I feel like I'm sitting in the front pew of a Baptist revival circa 1933. Gospel music is great, but there's nothing about her voice or persona that resonates with American Idol. Anoop looked sharp as usual, but I'm over it already. He only sounds decent when he sings ballads with very simple melodies. Chris was fantastic, and eventhough he's not my favorite, I must admit that he's the only contestant who seems radio ready. Adam...well...he can obviously sing...but America needs to be honest with themselves and realize that when he wins (which he will)...no one is gonna buy his album. His whole persona would be great for Broadway, but that's all.

Thank goodness for Adam and Chris, because the rest were terrible. My bottom three would be Lil, Allison and Anoop. Lil just can not sing an original version of any song. I don't understand why whe's still on the show. Allison was awful and the judges are not doing her any good, by lying to her. If Simon can be brutally honest with Lil, he needs to do the same with Allison, because that song really sucked. As for Anoop, that song was so slow and boring. He looked good, but sounded like he had an mouthful of marbles. Adam and Chris are putting even more distance between them and the rest of the contestants. The best of disco was as good as the best of anything. The BeeGees did some classic stuff. Listen to a few on YouTube: Love's Theme, Rock the Boat, Rock Your Baby, Get Down Tonight, Love to Love You Baby, Night Fever, Stayin' Alive, Fly Robin Fly and see if you can keep yourself from picking up the beat. Disco was glitzy, shallow, and simple. The message was "Let's Party!" Let's dress up and have some fun. Not much more of a message to it than that. The message of Disco wasn't the lyrics, just the infectious sound. It came and it went. Lot's of the things that replaced it were no better and most were worse.

Disco has nothing to be ashamed of. Even Disco Stu is cool.
