Top 7: The results are in, we just don't know them yet

** SPOILER ALERT: Wednesday night’s blog will eventually reveal the contestant leaving the show. Do not visit the final entry of the blog if you do not want to know the results.  **

Lots of folks are asking me who I think is going home tonight.

I may not be able to say for certainty who will be voted off, but I can tell you who won't be: Adam Lambert.

He's been tearing up the stage every week and even on the nights when he doesn't outsing everyone, he definitely outperforms the rest of the contestants.

The show just started, and I am freaked out by the announcer's voice and the flaming graphics.

Someone is getting voted off, not sent to hell for goodness sake!

And what in the world was that look Quentin Tarantino gave the camera all about? CREEPY!!!!

"Bob said...I hate Adam, what a joke this clown is, The Judges are stacking the deck in favor of him this year like no other contestant in past years.......Adam will win and get his 15 minutes of fame, but it will be short lived for this “Light in the loafers” rainbow warrior..What a joke."

    Hey Bob,

I totally agree. Unfortunately, I think Adam will probably win, with LOTS of help from the Judges and producers. I, too, think it will be a short 15 minutes of fame. Just wait until the higher ups at American Idol have to deal with the fall out of a winner doing gay porn, or nude videos or only God knows what. This is not a wholesome guy. The first year after he wins will be a train wreck....and possibly the end of American Idol.

I think they made a terrible mistake in saving Matt. Do I like him? Yes. Do I think he will win? No way in hell! They should have saved the save for someone who actually stands a chance at the win. Why delay things for Matt? Not smart judges. Not smart at all.

Yes, Simon makes the show...I think people look forward to his comments. Hes usually right on.
I dont think its fair to the other contestants that Adam did have singing contracts before he tried out for idol.
Allison's voice still irritates me. Sounds like she need to quit smoking.

Matt though saved won't win, I think they should of just let him go.

Paula and Simon have this love hate thing going on. I can tell by Paula's voice when she has drank, and ya notice those are the times shes really touchy feelly with Simon.

Everyone downs Simon, but common sense (a commodity lately) dictates – he makes the show. I believe – although crude at times is correct on many decisions.
Matt, if he stops trying to look like and sound like Justin Timberlake, and be himself, would fair much better. But he needs to be excluded.

Again . . . not screaming or screeching from Adam. He really does hit those notes musically. I understand if he's not your type of singer. But no one can take away the fact that he really can sing, with natural inclinations for phrasing. Incredible, actually. Think Freddie Mercury (no, he's not there yet), but similar in ability. I also think he has a natural ability to make the songs better for him, and they work!

I agree with a previous writer that Simon and Paula need to get a grip and get with the importance of this show for the contestants. I also think Lil should have been the one voted off. But you know when it gets this far in the show, someone has to be voted off, and I really think Adam is going to win. He is really good. I like Danny and Chris too. I think it will come down to Danny and Adam to be the remaining 2 at the end.

What's so great about Adam? Sure he is nice looking and polished but he is not all that and has a cocky attitude. If the other's had his training and back ground they would be as good if not better than him. I plan to vote against him since he thinks he has already won. Idol is suppose to be for people who are inexperienced.

Adam really irritates me when he sings. His screeching is getting really old and annoying, and he is completely overrated. Yes, he has a stage presence and bold choices for his performances. But he chooses to screech and scream most of the time instead of actually singing.

Danny rocks and I hope he, Allison, and Lil are final three. Poor Lil. I think the judges wasted their save on Matt. He will fall out in the next week or two regardless. It would have been much wiser to save for an odd night when say Gokey or Allison fell into the bottom three. So disappointing....

Absolutely cannot stand Adam–thank God for the mute button when he does his screeching. As Simon alluded to, Adam would be perfect in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He's already dressed for the part.

It was a very good decision from the judges but are they going the same chances to all the other contestants???. Why they did not give that cahnce to scott??. Anoop got one , and now Matt don,t get me wrong he is a good singer .
I'm giving you the order in the Idol from the best:
    1- Adam Lambert,
    2- Allisson,
    3-chris
    4-MAtt,
    5-Anoop,
    6-Danny,
    7-lil Round

It doesn't really matter whether Matt was saved. They would have saved Lil also. I guess the only potential problem with this is if one of the top three (Allison, Danny, or Adam) get low votes next week. It has been pretty clear though that next week two of the bottom three this week will go, regarless of what the judges did this week. Danny, Allison, and Adam should and will be the top three.

I think the voters picked the right people to be on the bottom. And even though Matt was saved this week I still believe that unless Matt and Lil sing their butts off next week they will be right back on the bottom and going home. The only reason I think Lil will have a chance next week is that there were some really good songs in the disco era that could show off her vocals. She just has to pick the right song, which seems to continually be her problem. Although I don't see Adam or Chris doing well in disco week either. It will be interesting to see the song choices. Disco week is always hard.

I can't stand Adam either! His performances are WAY over the top, every single week, it's like watching repeats of his performances, with
different songs! And Allison, fix that god awful hair! You would be
cute with a normal hair color. American idol should be based on
sales, I would not buy anything of theirs.

Simon is always right – when will they learn?

Saving Matt was a bad idea. I like him but he is not going to win, or even be in the Top 3, so they just prolonged the inevitable.

Plus, next week is Disco Week and it might be harder than they think. They might be wishing they'd held on to that Save.

In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion we could experience deja vu next week with Matt and Lil at the bottom again... like I said, prolonging the inevitable.

I hate Adam, what a joke this clown is, The Judges are stacking the deck in favor of him this year like no other contestant in past years. He does his little falsetto thing in every song, it's like the guy Blake a few years back doing the beat box thing in every song. Adam will win and get his 15 minutes of fame, but it will be short lived for this "Light in the loafers" rainbow warrior.
    What a joke.

It's going to so anticlimatic when Adam wins, he's such an obvious choice.

I cannot stand Adam. I might be the only one, but the black fingernail polish, the eyeliner, the flamboyant outfits, he is more like a circus performer. Or maybe a strip club cabaret singer, which I believe he has done. He grosses me out. I have to leave the room when he performs.

Regarding Adam, I understand he has sang professionally and has had singing contracts. Do you think thats fair to the other contestants – NO, NO, NO.

I think Danny, Matt or Kris are the ones who should be given a chance. They are so much more pleasing to watch.
