Top 9: The judges have their say and the contestants take a Journey

Why do the judges think they have to justify their remarks?

If you feel like someone didn't nail it, you have to say it. That's their role.

Plus, when it comes right down to it, America makes the decision.

I'm sure I'll probably get heckled for saying that, but oh well. Some people's drink of choice is "Haterade," so be it.

The gang sang "Don't Stop Believing" this week. I love me some Journey, but the contestants look like crazy chess pieces the way they keep shuffling around the stage.

I had to wince when Adam butchered his lines.

Simon has definitely served his purpose and Paula is kind of like playing the lottery – is she going to be straight or drugged up this week? Is she going to be coherent or babble and stutter?

Simon Cowell has become increasingly tiresome as judge and jury on American Idol. He's obviously bored, and has served his purpose.

His bad attitude, poor manners, hideous haircut, and black crew neck have worn thin. In his own words, "it's utter indulgent rubbish."

The contestants and viewers have been AIG'd. Send him home, without pay.

The American Idol judges are good, but to me they sometimes think about the wrong things. It really seems that their choice of songs, and their clothes should not be judged. I personally thought that the show is to judge their singing ability and their delivery. Plus, some of the comments made on earlier shows on earlier years are different from this year. I remember what has been said over the years. A note to the judges: Remember that everyone has feelings. You are not there to judge character. Who do you think you are? Don't try to hurt individuals' feelings. Also, Cowell should not be rude to the contestants.
