Top 9: Are you as happy as I am?

It's over, and I feel pretty good about the results.

Watch what CNN Radio's Michelle Wright had to say about last night's show.

So what did you think? How were the performances? Did you think there were any surprises?

Post your comments below or head over to iReport to submit videos of your reaction.

I feel like the only willing contestants are Chris, Adam ans Anoops sumwhat, they try and do really good. I feel that the other contestants are not here for the long run, Lil and Scott are gone for sure in hte coming weeks, but personally i REALLY DISLIKE Danny. I just dont get him and cant see his in music or being the next American Idol, just dislike him alot.

Megan overlooks the fact that it was because NO ONE voted for her that she's off and the fact that her songs weren't good enough and her hideous facial expressions and bizarre bahaviors were offensive. It's not Simon's fault. She needs to act a bit more sophisticated and professional up there – you can do that and still have fun Megan. Stop trying to be stupid.

I have not been able to stomach her singing or dancing (if you can call her awkward out of tempo body jerking dancing) since the first time I saw her on the show. When she sang Bob Marley this week, I almost had a seizure. Also, when she told Simon she didn`t care what he said about her awful singing, and then tried to give him and the rest of the judges a LAP DANCE during her final song. . .I was like, AWKWARD!!! I also think that when she spoke about anything, she sounded mentally unstable. . .CAWW, CAWW, CAWW?!?!? What in the world was that all about??????

To Terry from Texas: What about Carrie Underwood?! And why didn't Justin Guarini or Ace (the guy with the bedroom eyes – don't know his last name) or Chris Daughtry win in their respective seasons?! Get your facts right before you throw some misogynist comment on this space.

Chris has a good voice and is a good singer (two different things).

Allison has raw talent, and could really become a star.

Adam is a freak and needs a haircut, though he is a polished singer.

One of these is your winner.

Danny, Matt, Lil, Anoop and Scott are obviously talented and could sing professionally, but I don't see them as stars. Plus, Danny and Matt wear goofy, crooked hats – this alone should be reason enough to eliminate them.

I think the judges should help on song selection during the week, not just criticize the selection after the fact – it would make for a far better show.

Also, let these people sing the entire song! These 2 minute versions really obscure the performance, are clumsy, and do not let them get into the flow of the song.

    Now I'm done.

I don't think Allison came close to singing as well as the Wilson sisters when she did her performance of the "Heart" song. It was unintelligable and the Wilson sisters are more articulate than that. And, no it's not just an age thing (for either of the ladies). Allison could benefit from some voice lessons on articulating! I love her voice and 'sound' but can't stand the fact that she swallows the end of her words. People with speech impediments do that, not singers.

I agree that the judges are telling certain people one week they should do something different, only to have them criticize the same people the following week when they do what the judges told them to do. Lil Round is a classic example. She has a beautiful voice, if she doesn't stretch it, but she seems so eager to push herself and it effects her voice. I like Kris, but I'm not certain he is Idol winning material. Matt is good, but there is something about him I can't put my finger on. Anoop has a great voice if he would only choose the right song and add some personality on stage. Adam – no one can be compared to Elvis – Adam screams. I won't take it away from him that he does have a nice voice when he isn't screaming, but he seems to scream in every song he performs. Scott is talented, but definitely not Idol winning material. Danny – nice voice, but always the same – no surprises (like Paula so desperately needs). Okay, I'm finished with my critique – I tape the show so that I can speed through Paula and Simon's nonsense. I'm hoping Anoope or Kris win, although I was for David Archuletta last season.

Scott needs to go home. I'm sick of him, and I'm sick of Kris.

And yes, I'm sick of Kara, too. Sick of the judges picking on MATT and blowing sunshine up DANNY's behind. Yes, Adam's good, but he is NOT the Second Coming.

Long overdue. Cannot help but wonder how much of her continuing to date was due to the spoiler website that promoted voting for the worst contestant–namely Megan. I am still puzzled by Matt who I think it very talented and has great commercial style. Alexis should still be there–too bad a Megan survived instead of her.

Where is this attitude that people are seeing with Anoop? I think he is respectful, and I have not seen him sneer or do anything beyond roll his eyes with some of Simon's downright nasty comments. Simon is, as someone else said, an egotistical, self-righteous, indulgent, nasty person. While Kara sometimes gets on my nerves, she brings some freshness to the group. When Paula isn't drunk or acting that way, the antics between her and Simon make me sick. I think they should have a vote on the judges and every week, someone goes home. Let's start with Paula – she would be gone in a heart beat, maybe even before Simon. Randy would be last to go because he is a sweet heart and tries to be gentle, even when it's not good. I hope Anoop goes to the end – he has a great voice.

Megan was simply the worst singer out of the lot and that too with an attitude. I'm glad she is gone. She should have left gracefully. You have to be greatful about the huge opportunity that you have got and also you can't be disrespectful towards the judges. They know better than YOU Megan. Next to go out will be either Anoop or Scott. I think it will be Scott unless he sings something like this week.

I was surpprised to see Allison in the bottom three and exactly why isn't Matt in the bottom three? I was sad to see Megan go, I thought Anoop should have went before her. She was one of the most original performers there. I thought at the very least one of the copy cat twins (Matt or Anoop) should have gone first. Simon was a bit hard on Megan, but I guess she deserved his rebuttle after saying she didn't care what he had to say about her singing. Lesson learned, don't mess with the judges. I think you will be able to see Megan again with the American Idol tour, and she probably had a whole slew of doors open professionally for her, just for gettting as far as she did in the contest. Allison in the bottom three and Matt on the couch kind of made me angry, are people listening to these people or only going by face value?

Bye, Megan! I hope you find your real life purpose!

I think the input the judges give is confusing and not very helpful. What is Paula saying? Does she even understand it? One week they complain someone sounds too much like a professional artist, the next week, not enough like that very same artist. The judges are constantly telling the contestants to change something one week, and then complain that those kids are "just trying to win the competition" when they take the judges' comments to heart. Poor Lil Rounds and Matt, they must be totally frustrated and confused. Also, Allison is just sixteen. Is she supposed to know who she is musically yet and her style reflects how some kids are dressing at my local mall. The judges need to hear themselves talk and think about how their comments translate on the other end.

Yes we all know their are bigger problems in the world, and I am sure like most of the people here we spend hours worrying about those grim realities. That is what makes American Idol and other shows necessary, the ability to have us forget about 2 wars, sky high unemployment, etc for an hour or 2 so we dont lose our minds.

By the way, why are you here reading and posting if this is all "crap"?

Well, the bloggers on this story confirm my suspicions. They are 99% female and are most likely representative of the show's voters. And just THAT explains why the good-looking girl contestants are the first to go EVERY season! In order to get 36 million votes coming in to the show on Tuesday night, there has to be about one million tweenies (who ought to be doing homework or sleeping) calling on their cell phones, paid for by a permissive parent, an average of 36 times!

Now the rest of this season is going to be so BORING (with the exception of Adam, of course).

The judges are hypocrites! Simon constantly reminds the viewers and contestants, "Let us not forget this is a singing competition – we ARE looking for the best singer/performer in the country!" The hypocrisy of American Idol has gone on long enough. It is more clear than ever that the judges and contestants are the Producers' puppets. If Megan Cork Joy (or whatever the H*LL her name is) can make the Top 10 singer/performers on American Idol, which is described by the judges as a SINGING competition, then this show should no longer be viewed as a "search for America's best singer", and should more appropriately be categorized as a mere reality show, with its only purpose being to entertain.

However, it's unfortunate that real talent actually does exist on this show – because the judges and producers alike, undermine the "artistry" (which BTW, Kara, you wouldn't know artistry if it slapped you in the face) of singers like Adam and Allison when they praise the talentless (Megan Cork Joy, Hollywood week, etc.) and comment on trivial elements like clothes and hairstyles.

To the producers/puppeteers: You are the ones with "Identity Crises". Figure out what kind of show you are and stop contradicting yourselves by manipulating your contestant "Demographic" and writing pre-rehearsed scripts for the ignorant judges. Come on people, you don't really believe that Paula can use words like dilatory, quiescent, augmentation, etc., cohesively in an impromptu sentence? (Yes, these are words she has used before, on the fly)

Bottom line: American idol is not what it used to be – a show where talent precedes production, NOT vice versa! Good Riddens, Megan Cork Joy!

CJ called it right: Adam, Kris, Lil, and Danny in the Final Four. The judges' save will be either Danny or Lil, but Adam will win. The others will be approached by music industry scouts – never fear, it won't be the last we hear of them. Rightfully so – all four have potential to be enormous moneymakers.

I liked Megan at the beginning, but as the weeks went on, she changed, and not for the better. She needed to listen to the judges, take their advise. It would have been better for her to not sing every song in the same style. It was good, but then it got boring, then Megan got full of herself. Sad. Megan would never have won, but she could have made it a bit further had she not been so full of herself and disrespectful. I am glad Simon gave her back what she lamely tried to give. She is now a bit of a joke with all that squawking and arm flapping. I really hope Allison doesn't decide that she wants to emulate Megan. Allison is 16 and impressionable. I hope she has good people around her to steer her away from that behaviour. It's embarrassing.

Aside from that, I have to comment how tired I am getting of watching the childish interaction between Simon and Paula. It seemed completely disrespectful a week ago with the coloring of Paula's face with crayons all the while one of the contestants was singing for their life. How can they judge fairly when they're not even paying attention? If they're that bored with the show maybe they need to move on to something else. And then the fake embarassment by Paula at the "art work" on her face when she sat there and totally allowed Simon to do it...... If it's supposed to make the show more interesting, it didn't for me.

Adam is the absolute Bomb! The sign of a true star is one that you would pay to go WATCH as well as SING. I love watching him perform. And I thinik his "screaming (as some people have put it)" is very fresh in today's music. He could be a lead singer in a Hair Band, he could be the "Steve Perry" in a Journey-ish band, he could be solo. My other favorite is ALLISON. What a voice! For someone to actually sing Heart as well as Ann Wilson is something to pay attention to. And her country? She actually nailed that too! The "details" of her voice are "Amazing!" (sheesh, I sound like the Bachelor.) Like Danny 3rd. I wish he would wear contacts and wear just a tad bit more flattering clothes – something a little cooler. Then I think he'd move out of that "husband/church singer" image into a more believable star.

I used to love watching Megan and the 1st couple of weeks she was in her zone and came across really unique, but the rest were disasters. She really burned her bridge last night by telling Simon that she didn't care about his comments! People don't have to win AI in order to launch a career in singing and given her unique voice with the right songs she could have a slice of the market. But, displaying lack of respect on public TV towards an influential guy in the entertainment industry is just down right short sighted and foolish, not to speak of the embarrasement of having Simon say the judges won't even bother wasting time on her to reevaluate a save.

Adam should win, the boy has magnetic sex appeal and showmanship to keep me fixiated on him week after week.

Simon was so right in telling her "well we don't care either". Think about it... this girl was given a once in a lifetime opportunity that may have opened other doors for her. Instead of showing gratitude for her time there, she basically slaps them down. I LOVED when Simon gave her back as good as she gave. She deserved his comment. Why should he care if she doesn't? With his voice, I wanna see Adam sing Guns & Rose's "Sweet Child of Mine" and Aerosmith's "Dream On." But with his usual, original interpretation. Either of those would be classic and really show off his vocal talent since not many folks are as talented as Steven Tyler.

Adam's only problem at this point is that he's such a chameleon, people will start to feel like they don't know who he is. His talent proves that he can sing just about anything, and in any style. And he can dress & act however he needs to. All that is great and shows diversity. But the audience needs to know who HE is. What HIS signature and style are. What kind of music HE will make. It's almost like watching a guy doing voice impersonations – even if he's amazing to watch, you don't get a sense of who the person behind the voices is. I think Adam needs to showing us what his contemporary, relevant album would sound like. He's hella talented but I don't know what his niche is yet.

What was Megan's deal? The weird waving, the bird-flapping, the silly smiles? Weird! I used to like her but she totally didn't know what she was doing or else she would have been more strategic about all of her choices. I, too, like Anoop but he'd better figure out his image. He wears preppy clothes, has a sweet smile, but FLOPS when he tries to be edgy and cool. Come on... USHER? Totally too cool of a guy to try to copy. And he failed when he did Bobby Brown too, remember. He excelled with ballads – hmmm, maybe he needs to see a pattern?

    Second Comment:
The limited time they allow the pefomers to actually sing tremndously compromises many of these songs. You just really cannot do justice to a 4 minute ballad in a 2 minute time frame. The songs really sound chopped up and goofy. I say cut the banter and give them more time to actually sing.

When are these performers going to learn that as much as you may not like Simon, most of the time he's pretty dead on with his analysis & secondly even if you disagree with him, you don't get attitude & comment that you don't care what he thinks. This girl had attitude that only helped her look more foolish & immature then she perhaps is. She thought she was all that, but learned quickly that you don't anger the people with the power. Glad she's gone. Hope allyson learned something.

I am actually quite sad to see Megan go. True, she had a bit of a crooked attitude, but I truly like her sound and "awkward" stage presence. I do believe that she picked some truly terrible songs (with the exception of "Walkin After Midnight") I think had she chosen something like "Mercy" or "Warwick Avenue" by Duffy, that she would have pushed herself to a serious contender. I wish her the best of luck (and maybe just a little bit of growing up).

I agree with those who are kind of annoyed with Kara. Is she trying too hard?

Finally, and this is my BIGGEST GRIPE OF THIS SEASON...

WHY in the world is America obsessed with Adam Lambert? He seems like a nice enough guy and would probably be a blast to hang out with, but saying he has "artistry?" Really? Seriously? He throws all traces of each song's arrangement out the window and turns it into some kind of seedy underground club type of performance and he just shrieks and screams his way through every single song. It is horrifying!

What he did to "Ring of Fire" is absolutely unforgiveable. I don't care if another artist recorded a version like that...it obviously didn't catch on for good reason.

There are far more talented all around performers on that stage other than Adam (who would make a great stage actor). I think those who are the most geniune and enjoyable to watch are Lil and Kris.

But Adam? Wisen up America...it's time to say goodbye to Lambert!

I'm glad that Megan's gone as well, about time! I'm also tired of Scott getting the pity vote keeping him around as well, he's just not that good. Why do they feel the need to talk about his "impairment" at every opportunity? I realize he's blind every time he bounces up and down like an idiot. I would be just as annoyed with Danny if they kept talking about his dead wife, thankfully they stopped. Just base it on the performances!! As for Adam, I think he is talented, and obviously gracious. Probably a pretty decent person overall, but please, for the love of God, stop with that annoying screeching that he does? America knows he can hit those high notes, that doesn't mean he NEEDS to every 15 seconds. On to the judges. Is Paula on drugs? She was seriously slurring her words on Tuesday. What was that all about? Kara, I think she may just be a raving maniac that's horny for half the male contestants. I can't see her sticking around too long. 'all I got, just my little rant.

I don't Adam Lambert is all that Great as the judges make him out to be, I believe we have seen all that he has to offer in this competition

These are the ones who will not be in the final three, Lil Rounds, Matt Gibaud, and Scott..

the rest are up for grap as the show goes forward..

Everyon is betting on Adam lambert as the front runner from the beginning.. he has little shady past..with pictures and other males.. so don't know if that will be held against him..if he didn't lie about it signing the contract..so I don't think he's totally in the clear to win this thing.

The big elephant in the ROOM > some are paying attention too, and more people should pay all the attention too is Kris Allen, remember, the judges brought him back from the first elemination..and he has shown progression and diversity as an artists more-so than any other artists at this point, he will be in the TOP three..my money is on Kris Allen as this YEAR'S SEASON American Idol Winner.

Let's remember. Many singers who were booted off American Idol are doing well in the music and movie industries. With that much exposure, someone is always out there scouting for new talent. Megan has a unique voice and I will not be surprised if a music producer has not spotted her talent. With the right coaching, she could be a great entertainer. Best Wishes to you Megan. And for the record, Megan could not sing. She made it that far because her voice was unique. Unique does not always mean good. Lil will be marketable long after AI. There are plenty female artists TODAY who Megan can be compared too upon stubstance and style. This is why I say Megan loss her focus as the type of artists she is, she can recovery before the tour begins and be that Amy Winehouse protege on the leg of the A.I. Summer Tour.

I have never been more happy to see someone leave as I was to see Megan leave, except maybe Sanjaya. Her actions last night were off-the-wall and it made her look like she was on something. Then, her remark that she just really didn't care sealed her fate. I was glad to hear Simon say they didn't care either and I hope it brought her down a notch. But what she may not realize is that, with that remark, she may have sealed her fate in other ways as well - record producers that may have been thinking about working with her may have thought, well, if she doesn't care, neither do we.

Good luck to Allison. Bad outfit or not, she didn't deserve to be in the bottom 3.

I am as relieved that Megan is gone as I was when Sanjaya finally left the show. She shouldn't have been there in the first place.

I do think that Adam will be the winner. He has the best range and is making wise song choices and performing them fabulously. I love his diversity, his voice, and his rocker image.

I agree that Scott will be on the show a little longer because the country likes him and not because he's a great singer. My only complaint about Allison is the she slurs her words so badly you can't understand what she says. Surely she doesn't think that's how she's supposed to sing? And I have one more pet peeve for most of the singers on A I , including the guest performers, and that is they usually say 'chew' for 'you' and that annoys me to no end! It is not hard to pronounce words correctly. They are being lazy in their speech and it makes them appear to be careless. Isn't there someone on the show who should point out to them how to pronounce the words in their songs?

It was frustrating seeing Megan escape every week while much more talented signers were getting eliminated. The next two to go probably should be Anoop and Scott. Anoop can be really good once he learns he is never going sell R&B and needs to stick to ballads or pop.

They FINALLY got it right! Now for anyone who doesn't think that American Idol is somewhat FIXED...watch the playback of when they announced Allison as being safe and listen closely to what Meagan said to her when she hugged her..."Don't forget to call me, don't forget to call"...which is indicative that she very well knew she was being eliminated last night prior to them going on air.

I'm with most of you as her style of singing didn't fit the bill to be an American Idol and I'm not sure how she even made it as far as she did? Vocally she's not even in the same league as any of the rest of them. ...But again please understand that this is about ratings and entertainment, so though it appears that the fans votes are what determines the outcome...NOT SO MUCH AT ALL...

Scott will be kept in the competition for a few more weeks for ratings...TRUST ME...not because he's a GREAT singer but because he's a likable guy and people love his story and his ability to succeed considering his visual impairment.

You're final 3 will be Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert, & Kris Allen...Danny Gokey will make it to the final 4 and him being eliminated will be when the judges utilize their SAVE...unless they choose to do so when Allison is in the hot seat, in that case Allison and Danny could flip flop for that 4th position.

Matt is going away from what they like about him and trying to appear to be too diverse and his song selection is not quite working for him, so I doubt they'll use it for him but you never know they always like throwing a few curve balls at us now don't they?

This all is simply a sound opinion from a Music Industry insider...you don't have to agree or disagree just my thoughts on knowing the industry and how this all works.

Megan's "niche voice" didn't work. Consider the niche already filled by better performers
Adam is the only one who puts on a show– forgive me, but I like being entertained.
Allison is alright, but she needs to pull it together– throwback rocker chicks don't fit in with the current market. If she's going the rocker route, she needs to put an Indy twist on it. Matt, put on some dark glasses, please? And then go back to whatever lounge you came from. Lil, very bland. The rest are forgettable after this season. Scott is quite talented, but not idol material. I think he'll go far in entertainment – just not as the next top recording artist. The same goes for Lil. Adam has his fans, I'm sure – I'm just not one of them. Screaming and jumping around does not talent make. Very handsome – he needs to go into acting. Alexis is very very good – but so far one dimensional. Matt is good, but very often "pitchey". That leaves Kris and Danny... Between those two, I'd be hard-pressed to make a choice. Maybe in the next weeks they will separate from each other. Right now I lean toward Danny. Great talent and wonderful personality. ROCK ON DAVID COLE!!! There's an idol who does not disappoint!!!! Over 60 years here – so see, teeny boppers aren't the only ones who watch.

I really liked Megan in the beginning of the season. I don't know what happened to her? She got worse every week. I think it was the correct decision to let her go. HOWEVER, with some training, she does have a sultry voice and I think she would be successful with slow piano music, kind of like Nora Jones.
    Good Luck, Megan.

Even here in Canada we are all glad to see her go.. It almost seemed like she forced that sound out of herself. When you hear her singing other things she can rock, but she kept getting harder to listen too. America got it right with her and with Obama. Things are looking up.

Finally, the TV audience got it right and ousted Megan. The only thing she had going for her was her pretty face. What arrogance!

Also, I definitely didn't go "ga ga" over Lady Ga Ga's performance. I hated the song even more than her look. What's up with her?

Meagan's performance was reminiscent of those ridiculed in the early auditions. She should have never gotten this far, though it was interesting to see how far a contestant can get on looks alone.

Also, the bubbly, innocent school girl smile and attitude annoyed me; she gave up all rights to that disposition the day she got that gangrenous tattoo and/or got pregnant.

I tried hard to like Megan – I knew she had a fan base and I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but every week she just sounded so bad (I'm one of the few people who actually liked her "Rockin' Robin" though, I think!). Her attitude last night really irritated me. I remember at the auditions she came across as such a sweet young mom, but by last night she was cocky and a little arrogant. Talk about her 15 minutes of fame and attention going to her head. It was past time for her to go. One of the previous comments above got it right, I think.... it's hard to believe Allison, as talented as she is, is in the bottom three. I realize it's time for me and other "over 30's" like myself to start voting, and next week I will.

I think Kara has been a great addition to the show. Her comments are much more constructive than Paula's (I've always liked Paula but her range of comments is pretty limited and her silliness with Simon is embarrassing for a woman her age). As for Danny, in the first weeks of the show they talked often about his wife passing away and he got teary-eyed quite a bit, to the point that he was accused of using it to gain a sympathy vote, so they backed away from that. I read that he actually had to fly home this past weekend for his grandfather's funeral and there was speculation that it would bring up the whole sympathy factor for him again, and they didn't even mention it on AI last night, which surprised me.

Danny Gokey is not yet bottom 3 material, but a front runner? I grade papers while I listen to the show, Danny rarely catches my attention. While Allison, Kris and Adam, their performances have not slipped by me yet. And Lil, what a voice! but her stage presence, comeon LIl, get with it. Matt also has his moments and Scott was pretty good this week. However -Scott, Anoop and Danny are all middle of the road. I've heard this type of stuff before, they're milk toast.

Adam is consistently better, and knows how to take criticism. He's a serious performer, and always hits the notes even if they're intentionally strange ones. Performing is just second nature to him. Danny is likeable, and talented, but only if he stays within his range. That's true for most of them. They all have certain things they do best. If they learn to recognize these things, they win.

All he does is screech but then again I guess all you young tweens like this kind of music. This year's group all sucks. Hard to believe that of the hundreds of thousands who tried out, this is the best. What I hate about the judges is how hard they are on these contestants because after all they are the ones who put them on the show. Allison screams too, there is nothing soft about her. The hair color is harsh on her and she looks a lot older than her age, 16 isn't it. Lil was good at first but has gone downhill. People complain about Scott getting the votes because he is blind. Did you complain about Stevie Wonder singing since he is blind or Ronnie Milsap. Handicap people deserve a chance as much as anyone else and until you walk in their shoes, you shouldn't critize them.

My dream top 5, in no particular order, are Adam, Kris, Allison, Danny,

think he's gotten this far because of the "pity" factor, unfortunately. He

The finalists are going to be Idol Winner: Adam 2nd Place: Danny and both will go on and do very well in the music market. Both are already too good to be wasting their time on Idol. Every week is a breeze for them and they blow everyone else away. There is the two of them and then there is all the rest. No contest – they will blow everyone else out and win hands down. I am thrilled beyond words! It will take at least a week for my ears to recover! I just think it's a shame that she took the place of a much more deserving singer. She will never be a singer! Also, it's not smart to diss Simon. He always gets the last word and he did tonight. Good for him for letting her know that the judges wouldn't even bother trying to save her.

I think the problem with Allison is that she's a kid trying to act older than she is. She also needs a serious makeover. The other thing is to try to enunciate better. We do have to understand the words of the song. The girl has great, raw, unrefined talent. She just has some rough edges. I think she deserves to stay.

Anoop may be in real trouble and Matt shouldn't get too comfortable, either. I have to say that I think Scott's days are numbered. Danny needs to get keep stepping it up. Adam is the real thing. He has an incredible vocal range and a falsetto that blows me away. He is the consummate performer, original, not afraid to take risks, always exciting and a really attractive young man when he combs that hair back and we can see his face without all that makeup.

I too was not a very big fan of Megan, but she did show a poor attitude with her comment. Many people would be extremely grateful for the HUGE opportunity she has been given, yeah show your personality/style but have respect! Her song choices have ALL been horrible and the act out of the bird was plain stupid. (A bit weird too.) Simon was dead on with his comment, how can you attempt to save someone who doesn't accept criticism/care? That type of attitude could be perceived by other labels as a signal to not waste their time.
Adam, Danny, Matt, Kris are my favorites, Scott is likeable but not the best, none of the women have really impressed me much with their spin on any song. Lil Rounds is a little over-rate, the red head blows her away. Lil is one of Simons fav and I think the wild card is being saved for her. Megan is pretty. Period. Her song choice this week was ill-fated. It was clearly her time to go.

This is one of the best IDOL seasons. Cara has added a special dimension to the judge panel: she is clearly the stand out judge, far and away above the others. She is bright, articulate, sensitive, authentic, pretty, and has excellent critical insights. Paula, though well meaning, is an over-medicated has been, at times embarrassingly incomprehensible. Simon is honest, to be sure, but also arrogant, mean-spirited, egotistical, and has almost no sense of warmth, style, or fashion. Randy is a nice guy, good insights, but should open a vocabulary book and add a few choice words.

To my mind, it is a three-man show to the end: Adam, Kris, and Danny.

Megan was the only contestant with a distinctive, interesting voice. The others, barring Kris, are just boring karaoke singers. One shudders to think what the likes of Simon Cowell and his crew of "judges" would have said to singers like Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, or even contemporary pop stars like Amy Winehouse or Fergie. I'm glad that Megan gave Simon the finger. Maybe she stands a chance of becoming a bonafide star some day, instead of a bubble gum pop nobody like most Idol final contestants.

I smell something fishy in that Megan seemed relieved to go home. This from the person that was the recipient of the Vote for the Worst web site. She wasn't even in the bottom 3 the last two weeks. Bottom line, I think Megan wanted out to be at home with her son. When Lady GaGa started, I thought she was similar to Megan, but as the performance went on, the differences began to stand out. Megan could fit in a specific genre, but she has to keep wearing those shoes. I actually couldn't believe that she was the one to leave, I thought Anoop would get the axe. But I am glad. Adam is hands down the best singer in the show. His vocal skills are amazing. He would have been great on Rock Star INXS. If he doesn't win, I think it will go to Danny or Allison. I like Danny a lot, he just seems to be a cool hang. It seems that someone has been telling Allison to keep her words to a minimum which is good. She is 16 but what a talent. Allison, don't show the public that your just a teenager. Zip the Lip. Kris is showing improvement every week. At first I thought he was the teeny boppers favorite. But he has surprised me, especially last week with a song that has been done a million times. Matt is a solid performer. I thought he did the rocker song fine. He showed a different side. I think if Scott didn't have a handicap, he would have been booted from the competition already. Not to be mean, but if this is a vocal competition and you listened to the show instead of watched the show, I think he is average at best. Don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but his vocals are just OK. Lil and Anoop are in the same boat. They don't know who they are as a artist. Do what you do best. That is what the greats do. I like Kara, she knows the business and gives straight answers. Randi does too. I feel bad for Paula with what happened with her last year. That has to take a toll. I think the antics onstage with Simon is a comic relief for the tragedy that happened. Just a guess. I guess you have to have a devil's advocate and Simon fits the bill well. If you had to deal with him directly it could take some forethought. My 2 cents.

THRILLED Megan is gone!! Now it really starts getting tough. Matt is my personal favorite, followed by Kris, but let's face it – Adam is most likely gonna win it all!

    KEVIN – I'm with you 100% on Kara! She is a phony-baloney put-on!
Can't stand her! Let's vote KARA off NEXT!!

I am extraordinarily happy because I have never liked Megan Joy and have always felt offended when they have compared her to such great singers as Amy Winehouse. If she wasn't blonde and cute she wouldn't even be in the finals right now. America got it right. For once.

There is some thing sinister about Danny, Who would audition 1 month after his wifes death. None of his songs are tribute to his wife, if infact he loved her so much how come he never dedicates a song for her.

He may be in denial or suffering inside .. if that is infact the case then he is a better actor than singer.

Check out the photos of Adam in his drag queen outfits (really, he makes a great woman) and tongue kissing another guy. Then tell me this is an "American Idol." And no, I'm not a gay basher. His singing actually hurts my ears.

No surprise. It was Megan's time to exit. I agree with other opinionators that Anoop and Scott should be the next ones to depart.
However, I'm miffed at why the public is putting Allison and Matt in the bottom 3...especially Allison...her vocals rock. Matt needs to stick to the blues. If Allison and Matt continue to perform well...then come on people vote for them. Allison has clearly outperformed Lil. I thought Lil had a chance for the final 3, but she isn't listening to the judges whom have reprimanded her over her poor choice of songs over the last 2 or 3 weeks. She needs to take heed.
Adam, Danny and Kris continue to outperform all others. Allison should be close too.

I am shocked that Scott is still alive and kicking. They (america) needs to boot him off. He can't sing, in front of the piano, or not. As far as Megan goes, I knew it was coming. Her voice is a mixture of Cabaray, (sp) and Jazz. The only song she sang that sounded half way decent was the one by Patsy Cline.

I'm not happy..Anoop sucks and Scott is not much better, they should have gone next. Meghan is a little herky jerky with her dance moves, but if she is taught proper singing techniques she can be really good. She has a good, unique voice, just doesn't know how to use it well enough yet. Anoop is just this years Sanjaya..but worse.

I"m incredibly tired of Danny "Dead wife" Gokey and his sub-par vocals with ridiculous amounts of hype. And I'm also tired of Mr. "I'm number 13 out of 12" Anoop.

I've actually quit watching this season because of how ridiculous it is. This show is starting to seem like its being run by a bunch of 5 year olds who change the rules the way they want them when they're not winning. "Oh well, we're going to take 13 now because we can't loose Anoop! Oh and we can "save" someone if we dont like what you choose!"

Seriously... If anyone other than Adam Lambert wins this the show is just completely full of crap...

    Good riddance to Megan!

Her attitude tonight was so over-the-top ridiculous and inappropriate. Her cawwing was immature, her "I don't care" attitude made me want to slap her, and her swan song (complete with horrific dancing) made me ill.

They should all go. I have watched AI since the beginning, and I am BORED STIFF with this season's contestants.

IMO, this has turned into another Jordin Sparks/Blake Lewis season. They're not consistent, they don't stay on pitch from one song to the next, they're talented but not hugely talented, and the winner will wind up as yet another mildly successful Idol.

There's not a Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood (or even David Cook) in the bunch.

Kara gets on my nerves too. Talks too much and thinks she has some special insight, more than the other judges – but she dosn't . Megan was just painful to watch with her akward goofy moves. The moves were worse than ever tonight. – Adam is a performer, a real actor. He can act like any type of artist he needs to, plays to the camera and finds the right spot and the right angle every time. He is already a stage pro. It's different from other contestants who are just trying to find their voice and be a consistent performer. They aren't trying to act like a start they're figuring out how to become their best. Adam's experience has already taught him how to be his best and like a good actor he knows exactly how far he has to take his alternative look while at the same time he takes great care to make his moves and presentation very market friendly. So he's in a differnet class cause of his stage training and his ability to make himself over and play a role when needed. That's why he's going to win this season - but that doesn't mean he's really the best singer – it's just that he aleady knows how to sell himself and the others don't know that stuff yet.

I believe she fell into the bottom 3 more than once. Votes speak for themselves week after week. The next in line to exit is anoop, good singer but does not have the charisma to stay on. Adam is a natural performer and star – and a smart one at that. He commands attention, he has charisma, and he's dynamite and he's also gracious and grateful. I like Danny very much, but only when he gets his Michael McDonald/Michael Bolton raspy belt going on. Otherwise he can be a little boring. Kris is pretty darn good, as are Alison and Lil. Starla, I doubt seriously that you are in the minority. I had to cover my ears everytime she sang(tonight was particularly mortifying). I feel sorry for the rest of the group since she will be touring with them by making the final 10. She should have never got this far. I found it bizarre that Simon acted so rudely toward her tonight when he and the rest of the judging crew are the sole reason she got this far. Alison being in the bottom 3 was ridiculous. She was one of the better performers last night, and has been consistently good each week. Can't really believe she in only 16.
