Jane Lynch has signed up for a move that her “Glee" alter-ego, Sue Sylvester, might not have made: she’s serving as a pitch woman for PETA.
She’s the latest celebrity to team up with the organization to encourage spaying and neutering in order to curtail animal overpopulation. Other celebs who have worked with the organization include Carrie Ann Inaba, Simon Cowell, Patricia Arquette and Mickey Rourke.
In Lynch’s spot, she’s targeting people who carelessly breed dogs and cats in a quirky campaign for the animal rights group.
It’s possible that the Internet could melt down come midnight – tickets for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” go on sale at a couple of online ticketing sites.
Both Fandango and MovieTickets are selling advance tickets of the latest installment in the teen vampire romance series six weeks before it hits theaters.
“The latest trailer has gotten great buzz among the fan sites as there’s clearly a lot more fast-paced action this time around,” Fandango spokesman Harry Medved told The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s also great curiosity about seeing some of ‘The Twilight Saga’s’ new characters coming to life on the big screen for the first time.”
She didn’t find her happily ever after in her two stints on reality television, but that didn’t stop Jen Schefft from finding love, and soon, motherhood.
The former “Bachelorette” star – we first saw her on “The Bachelor” - is pregnant.
The 33-year-old Chicagoan confirmed to Us Weekly that she is expecting her first child with trader Joe Waterman, her husband since last May.
“I was shocked. I thought it would take more time,” the public relations executive told the weekly magazine. “I took three tests because I didn’t believe it was true!”
Despite many people telling her it wasn’t the best idea to sit down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview, Rielle Hunter - politician John Edwards' mistress - decided to do it anyway.
"I feel in my heart it’s the right thing to do," Hunter said Thursday, especially now that "Johnny," as she calls him, has admitted paternity of their daughter, Frances Quinn.
Hunter said she wanted to set the facts straight about who she is, and that while she understands the judgment that has been heaped upon her, she doesn’t see herself as a home wrecker or gold digger, she told Winfrey.
Teen girls - already misunderstood by plenty of adults - are just as baffling to 17-year-old pop culture mega-star Miley Cyrus.
"I am screwed up in the mind a little bit because I’m not like other 16- or 17-year-old girls," Cyrus said in a recent interview in Parade. "I have no perspective of who exactly my fans are, to tell you the truth. Teenage girls in general are hard for me. I’m not a girl’s girl."
And despite the fact that she got her start in TV, Cyrus isn't a fan of parking in front of the tube - except for RuPaul's "Drag Race," which she can't get enough of. "I love me some RuPaul. I love RuPaul’s motto. It goes something like, ‘A real lady is never bitchy, a real lady is sassy,' " Cyrus said.
Not everyone can take home a shiny Oscar statuette, so the Academy offers gift bags filled with the awesome as well as the bizarre.
Let’s start with the good gifts. Since those who lose out on Oscar night may feel the need to get a way from it all, there’s a $45,000 trip voucher for a South African safari, complete with personal chef, a $14,500 trip voucher for a getaway to Monaco, plus a $7,000 trip voucher to a posh resort in Connecticut.
There’s also deeli.com gift cards, an offer for an iFLY indoor flying session as well as a Tiffany cat collar and designer dog toys. And, because this is Hollywood, Oscar nominees will get gourmet chocolates that can be burned off with the gift bag's offer for personal training sessions and a week at a fitness boot camp.
