You are not going to believe what ex “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub has to say about the cast of “Jersey Shore”!
She goes off on JWoww wanting to be more like Angelina Jolie, and also had a whopper of an opinion about Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his abs. But, could Danielle ever join the "Shore” cast?
Don't miss our "Showbiz" newsmaker interview with Danielle, today on "Showbiz Tonight." And tell me what you think – should she join “Jersey Shore”? Post your comments below!
Other stories we’re fired up about today on the show…
Is it a good idea for Michael Jackson's trial to be televised? And what about Simon Cowell's "X Factor" - will it be bigger than "American Idol"? Plus, the "Showbiz" newsmaker interview: Brooke Anderson goes one-on-one with Oscar nominees.
Remember to watch "Showbiz Tonight" live at 5 p.m. ET today and again at 11 p.m. ET/PT on HLN!
Go ahead and blink - you still won’t miss Taylor Swift today. The pop star seems to be everywhere!
She did an interview on “Today," she's opened up in Parade magazine and she’s calling out all her ex-boyfriends.
Taylor’s new album, “Speak Now,” is getting rave reviews, but to be honest there was a collective groan in the "Showbiz Tonight" morning meeting today when someone read a new report about Taylor and actor Jake Gyllenhaal spotted canoodling.
"Boo-hoo!" That’s what a lot of people were saying this morning in our "Showbiz Tonight" staff meeting about Michael Bolton’s complaint that he was treated poorly on “Dancing With the Stars."
A majority of the staff agreed with Judge Bruno Tonioli – that Bolton just can’t dance and that he should just “quit his whining.” It is a dance competition after all, isn't it?
And after Katy Perry got the boot from "Sesame Street" after she was deemed too hot for Elmo and his friends, "Showbiz Tonight" has just learned that Katy is going to make a special appearance on “The Simpsons." It’s for a special holiday, all-puppet version of the show in which Perry will play a bartender.
We've got plenty on deck for today's "Showbiz Tonight," but in this morning's meeting we were all buzzing about the outrage over Katy Perry’s new music video - with none other than Elmo.
Apparently parents are in an uproar over what Katy wore during a shoot for an episode of “Sesame Street," and the low cut dress ignited a firestorm of comments today in our editorial meeting.
We first aired the video in the beginning of the week, and Production Assistant Anisa Husain said she was surprised Katy was exposing so much cleavage on a toddler program, while others thought, "hey, it’s just no big deal."
The "Showbiz Tonight" staff carried on one very big debate this morning about Ines Sainz, the sports reporter who received an apology from the owner of the New York Jets after she complained she was harassed by the players in the locker room.
We were going back-and-forth over whether a reporter’s manner of dress actually invites the cat calls and the hoots and hollers from the players in the locker room.
Producer Kristyn Martin defended her in our meeting today saying, “It’s a slippery slope when people start criticizing a beautiful on-air correspondent and saying that her looks created unwanted male attention. Aren’t most on-air people beautiful? In every case it’s wrong and dangerous to go to the mentality of, ‘she was dressed in a low-cut top – she asked for it.’”
In today’s morning meeting, the “Showbiz Tonight” staff felt like it was 2007 – we were talking about Lindsay, Britney and Paris all over again!
Here's what's up with Paris: A new book is alleging that the reality TV star hid drugs inside her body. That’s as far as we can take that story because it’s just too detailed a report for me to explain in this blog. (Yikes!)
What I can tell you is that there was a collective gasp in the morning meeting when everyone read the latest CNN wire on the lawsuit and the allegations about Paris.
