Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian might have been blushing as they watched Reese Witherspoon at Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards.
Accepting her MTV Generation award, the Oscar-winning actress slammed stars who have appeared in sex tapes and nude-photo scandals, telling them they should be ashamed of themselves.
“I get it, girls, that it’s cool to be a bad girl,” the mom-of-two told the crowd. “But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed.”
After appearing as part of the ensemble in last year's Emmys opening number, Jane Lynch is finally taking the lead. The "Glee" star will officially host the 63rd annual ceremony on September 18, Fox confirms to CNN.
“I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox,” Lynch says. “I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.”
Mark Burnett, the show's executive producer, adds that Lynch—who nabbed an outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series Emmy at the 2010 event—will make the ultimate emcee.
She may be a superstar, but just like any mother, Angelina Jolie is concerned about the state of schools today.
"I wish there was a book every parent could read that tells you how to navigate through the school system, and how to tailor the education system for your children and their interests," the mom of six tells the Independent. "I'm personally getting a lot more involved with their different tutors and teachers."
Jolie's children are enrolled in the Lycée programme French schooling system in several different countries, including New York, Prague and Venice.
The gross-out reality competition "Fear Factor" is returning to NBC, but there's good news for the squeamish: The revamped version will be kinder to those without stomachs of steel.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series, which saw contestants eating worms and drinking rat smoothies while competing for a $50,000 prize, is expected to feature fewer gross-out challenges.
The show is already holding an online casting call, seeking "married couples, siblings, parent/child, best friends, co-workers, teammates, roommates, [and] ex's" from the Los Angeles area.
Though he's made over 70 movies—many of them critically acclaimed dramas—Kevin Bacon will forever be known as the guy from "Footloose."
While the 1984 blockbuster made him famous and turned him into a teen idol, Bacon admits it also hurt his career.
"After 'Footloose' I was on a sort of downslide, and my people were recommending that I only do movies when my name was above the title," the "X-Men: First Class" star tells the June issue of Details.
Supermodel Gisele Bündchen is all beauty and plenty of brains—according to Forbes, the Brazilian bombshell is poised to become a billionaire.
Besides raking in money by appearing in high-profile campaigns for the likes of Versace and Dior, Bündchen is also earning quite a few extra bucks by branding herself. So far, the catwalker has licensed her name to a number of products, including a jewelry and eco-friendly cosmetics line, and a line of sandals for Grendene. More recently, Mrs. Tom Brady also launched her own lingerie company.
According to Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, such endeavors could add as much as $19 million per year to Bündchen's already estimated $45 million annual income.
