In the wake of the early morning shooting at an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater during a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises," studio Warner Bros. has canceled the Paris premiere of the film as well as interviews for "The Dark Knight Rises" cast.

Theater shooting: Gunman 'just firing, picking random people'

The studio, which shares a parent company with CNN, said in a joint statement with "Dark Knight Rises' " filmmakers that they are all "deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time."
