Christopher Walken is Captain Hook, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • This is either going to be the best or the weirdest rendition of "Peter Pan" ever. NBC has cast Christopher Walken as the eyeliner-loving Captain Hook in its live performance of the musical. At least with Walken aboard, NBC's "Peter Pan" has "entertaining" going for it. [THR]
  • Bethenny Frankel and Kim Kardashian should get together for a round of Skinnygirl cocktails and commiserate about their poorly delivered jokes. While Kardashian's taken heat for sarcastically saying pregnant women should just stay in the house, Frankel's had to defend herself against those who were disturbed by her photo of herself wearing her four-year-old daughter's nightgown. [Bethenny Frankel's Instagram and Twitter]
  • Prepare yourself, Pharrell Williams. Weird Al Yankovich has taken on "Happy": [Stereogum]
  • Gwen Stefani is bringing her husband along for the ride when she makes her debut on "The Voice" in the fall. Gavin Rossdale has joined her team as a mentor. [People]
  • We wonder if Ariana Grande noticed she didn't mention her "Sam & Cat" co-star Jennette McCurdy anywhere in her super-long statement about the show's cancellation? [Ariana Grande's Twitter]

Katherine Heigl: I was never intentionally 'difficult'

Katherine Heigl is trying to debunk her "difficult" reputation.

Colin Farrell might be the 'Detective' type, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

    • "True Detective's" creator already said not to believe any rumors about season 2 until they're officially announced, but this bit of gossip sounds interesting: Colin Farrell is the latest actor to be mentioned as a potential lead. [THR]
    • Here's another reason to freak out about Eva Mendes probably being pregnant with Ryan Gosling's baby: the man seems to have a goal of being a stay-at-home dad. "When someone comes along [to make babies with] I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that," Gosling said in 2011. "I'll make movies until I make babies." Annnnnd cue the heartbreak. [Us Weekly]
    • This is what Yaya DaCosta looks like as Whitney Houston. (Hint: Nothing like her at all.) [EW]
    • Somehow, there are still people on the Internet being duped by fake dating profiles. For those poor souls, MTV has added a fourth season of "Catfish." [MTV]
    • If you're pregnant, Kim Kardashian's best advice is just to stay in the house and never be seen until your baby's born. (Not kidding. She actually said that.) [Elle]
    • Love you, John Legend:
