Paula Patton spotted at Emmys party

Paula Patton has finally come out of hiding.

The actress has been so little seen since her big split from husband Robin Thicke in February that it's not an exaggeration to say some have been concerned about her whereabouts. (Even Thicke said he hadn't seen her in months in June.)

But the worrying was put on pause Monday night, as Patton quietly popped up at an Emmys after party.

  • A very pregnant Hayden Panettiere's thinking pink. The actress revealed on the Emmys red carpet that she and fiance Wladimir Klitschko are expecting a baby girl. [People]
  • Just so you know, Sofia Vergara doesn't think the Emmys putting her on a revolving pedestal was at all sexist. “I think its absolutely the opposite. It means that somebody can be hot and also be funny and make fun of herself," Vergara said in the skit's defense. [EW]

After Aaron Paul gave a shout-out to his wife Lauren's anti-bullying organization, the Kind Campaign, during his Emmys award acceptance speech Monday, the flood of curious observers reportedly temporarily crashed the site.

'Guardians' is summer's No. 1 film, and more news to note

  • It's official: Summer 2014 belonged to Groot. (And Rocket, and Star-Lord, and ... well, you get the picture.) After a solid showing at the box office this weekend, "Guardians of the Galaxy" is the No. 1 movie of the season. [EW]

VMAs: About Nicki Minaj's wardrobe malfunction

At Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki Minaj made a quick dress change that left her only partially clothed.

The rapper helped open the awards show with back-to-back performances, and each required its own costume. For her first song of the night, "Anaconda," Minaj appeared on stage in a green, sequined two-piece.

But as her performance transitioned into her single with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, "Bang Bang," the rapper tried to swap her green get-up for a sleek black dress - except she didn't exactly get it on in time to take the stage.
