Sony Pictures' Chairman of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, Jeff Blake, announced the dates for two more 'Spider-Man' sequels - and the schedule extends into 2018.

"The Amazing Spider-Man," the 2012 reboot of the series (which followed three Sam Raimi-directed films in the 2000s) took in over $750 million at the worldwide box office last year. Production is already under way in New York on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," set for release on May 2, 2014.

Banking on the success of the new series, the studio has plans for a third film to be released on June 10, 2016, followed by the fourth installment, scheduled for May 4, 2018.

" 'Spider-Man' is our most important, most successful, and most beloved franchise," Blake said in a statment. "We're thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years."

Chances are Spidey fans worldwide are nodding their heads in agreement.

"And... ACTION! The Veronica Mars movie has officially started production. LIKE this milestone to send your support to the cast and crew," read the caption underneath a photo of the clapboard.

Speaking of the cast and crew, it appears as though more residents of Neptune will be joining their peers including, Tina Majorino (returning as Mac) and Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Gia Goodman. In a letter to the Kickstarter supporters, Ritter stressed her excitement for the reunion.

"Veronica Mars has a special place in my heart because it was my first big acting job," she wrote. "It was also one of the most lovely on-set experiences you could ever ask for. This will truly be an awesome shoot, not only because we all get to be reunited (can’t WAIT!) but because of the revolutionary way this all was able to come to life!"

An official trailer for the film, "The Wolf of Wall Street," starring Leonardo DiCaprio (playing Belfort), Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey, has hit the web.

Directed by Martin Scorsese, "The Wolf of Wall Street," is based on the book of the same name by Belfort, a former New York stockbroker notorious for his outlandish spending and legal woes. The book is said to have inspired the flick, "Boiler Room."

Over Kanye West's "Black Skinhead," from his latest release, "Yeezus," clips of raucous parties, yachts and beautiful women jump out during the two minute clip. If the imagery and slick trailer editing are any indication, the film version of "Wolf" looks equally as enthralling as it's literary predecessor. Think "The Great Gatsby" meets the aforementioned "Boiler Room" - minus Vin Diesel.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" is slated to open November 15.

In a sit-down with GQ for their latest cover story, the rapper/singer didn't seem to hold back. Leading up to the August release of his third studio album, "Nothing Was the Same," Drake told the magazine he's four tracks into his new project and at 26,  he hopes to have made $250 million by the time he's 29.

Aside from the music talk, the conversation shifted to the much-publicized bottle-throwing fiasco between his and Chris Brown's entourage. Though the details of that night remain murky, Drake made his feelings about Brown and their alleged beef over Rihanna very clear.

"I don't want my name to be synonymous with that guy's name. I really don't," Drake said about Brown. "I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that's not going to happen. I'm not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I'm not going to back down."

Drake didn't stop there.

"Two rappers fighting over the woman. He's not even a rapper, but still, it's the last way you want your name out there," he said. "It distracts from the music. But he's made me the enemy, and that's the way it's gonna stay, I guess."

In footage that leaked of behind-the-scenes visuals for Wayne's "God Bless Amerika" track, the rapper is seen stepping on an American flag as it falls down behind him. Music sites, blogs and even an MMA fighter voiced their displeasure for what was deemed unpatriotic.

Wayne's first rebuttal came via Twitter. "I didn't step on the flag on purpose! Its a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform," Wayne posted to his account.

The negative criticism must have left an impression on the New Orleans-born artist, who continued to defend himself on Facebook a few hours later.

"It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America," he wrote. "In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground. In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. "

After a high-profile pregnancy, Kardashian gave birth to the couple's child, a daughter, on Saturday morning. West was reportedly by her side during the delivery, E! reported.

No word on the child's name yet - but you can probably expect to see quite a bit of baby coverage on Kardashian's show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Wayne shot a video for his single, "God Bless Amerika," in New Orleans and some leaked footage shows the rapper walking on the American Flag. The track which is featured on Wayne's latest album, "I Am Not A Human Being II," only adds to the controversy behind the imagery. At the very beginning of the song, Wayne raps:

"My country tis of thee/Sweet land of kill them all and let them die."

Obviously no stranger to controversy Wayne's video for "God Bless Amerika" has already generated talk on blogs on whether or not the act is unpatriotic or just being blown out of proportion.

On social media, much of the talk has leaned on the anti-Wayne side.

"Get Lil Wayne all the way the hell out of here..... stomping on the American flag??? Enough of this clown," wrote user, S.L..

We'll know Wayne meant to make a statement if he repeats the act on the America's Most Wanted Music Festival, which kicks off July 9 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The multitalented actor, who once again won raves for his handling of Broadway's biggest celebration, is scheduled to take a turn on the Great White Way himself in a revival of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." Harris, 40, will star in the musical about an East German transgender singer and her rock band.

"I am simultaneously ecstatic and terrified to be stepping into Hedwig's heels. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime role and I can't wait to begin the journey," said Harris in a press release.

"Hedwig and the Angry Inch," by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, began as an off-off-Broadway show and moved to the Jane Street Theatre in 1998, where it ran for more than two years and won both Obie and Outer Critics Circle awards. The show was turned into a 2001 film directed by and starring Mitchell. This is the first time it will play on Broadway.

Harris is no stranger to the stage himself, having appeared in such Broadway productions as "Assassins," "Proof" and "Cabaret," but he's probably best-known to audiences for his TV roles, including playing the title character in "Doogie Houser, M.D." and Barney in "How I Met Your Mother."

Trask has no doubts that Harris is up to the be-wigged part.

"It’s like you’re putting together a fantasy rock band and Paul McCartney agrees to play bass," he said.

The show is scheduled to premiere next spring.

The Grammy Award-winning pop star is releasing "Ooh La La" as a bundle with the debut single from new artist, G.R.L., titled, "Vacation." The fresh material will be featured on the soundtrack for "The Smurfs 2," the sequel to the live action/animated film that raked in over $560 million at the worldwide box office in 2011.

Spears is currently working on her eighth studio album, and was most recently seen as a judge on FOX's "The X-Factor."

The synth-heavy "Ooh La La" is reminiscent of Spears' earlier, safer tunes that have helped her to sell some 100 million albums worldwide. "The Smurfs 2" will be released on July 23, and the soundtrack also features Nelly Furtado.

Chappelle is the headliner for Funny or Die's "Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival," which kicks off August 23 in Austin, Texas. The tour, which also includes Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin and Kristen Schaal, will run through 13 cities in five weeks, concluding in Mountain View, California.

Oh, it's not like Chappelle has been in hiding; in fact, he's touring the Southeast right now, and will be playing three shows in Nashville and five in Atlanta in the coming weeks. But in recent years the comedian's best-known public appearances have been occasional drop-ins at L.A.'s Laugh Factory and spots on "Inside the Actors Studio."

Chappelle remains most famous for his program on Comedy Central, "Chappelle's Show," a sketch-comedy hit that ran for two full seasons on the comedy channel. Chappelle was scheduled to do a third season, but left midway through its production, telling Oprah Winfrey not long after that he was burned out.
