AMC's 'The Walking Dead' gets a spinoff

AMC's ratings monster "The Walking Dead" has spawned a new series.

The spinoff-happy network announced on Monday that its in the early stages of developing a "companion series" for its zombie-filled primetime drama.

'Walking Dead' online class comes to UC Irvine

The next time you binge-watch "The Walking Dead," you could pass it off as homework.

The AMC show is now the subject of a free, massive online open course - or MOOC - at the University of California, Irvine. The school partnered with the network and Instructure to craft an eight-week class called “Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead.'"

Going into Sunday's "The Walking Dead," I wondered whether someone would come to save Andrea, and whether Milton would continue to sabotage the Governor.

We didn't get an immediate answer to either question, although I suppose we'll get some resolution next week with the season three finale.

But we did get an answer to one of last week's burning questions: Will Rick attempt to deliver Michonne to the Governor? The answer: Kind of.

Sunday night's episode of "The Walking Dead" shed some light on what drives both the Governor and Rick, as well as why there can never be peace between Woodbury and the survivors in the prison.
