'SNL' reunion on Seth Meyers' 'Late Night'

For everyone who's missed seeing Fred Armisen on late night TV, Seth Meyers is about to be your savior.

The "SNL" alum is bringing his former co-worker along to "Late Night" when he begins hosting the show on February 24.

Meyers announced on Monday that Armisen is going to curate and lead the live band, even when he's off working on IFC's "Portlandia."

As New York Magazine's Vulture and MTV have pointed out, a lot of Armisen's comedy has musical roots, like the Blue Jean Committee and The Bjelland Brothers.

As he prepares to take over "Late Night" from Jimmy Fallon, Meyers is surrounding himself with plenty of old friends. His first guest on "Late Night" will be another "SNL" graduate, Amy Poehler.

Leno hits a high note with Kim K., Oprah and more

Thursday night may have been Jay Leno's second time leaving "The Tonight Show," but it was more heartwarming than the first.

It was also more impressive in ratings. According to NBC, Leno's final "Tonight Show" episode had its highest overnight ratings since March 2009, when President Obama became the first sitting president to appear on a late-night talk show. When we start talking overall viewers, Leno pulled in the highest number he's had since 1998 with 14.6 million watching.

Watch: New promos for 'Tonight' and 'Late Night'

Next month, Jimmy Fallon will be stepping into a late-night tradition while Seth Meyers tries to just keep his act together.

At least, that's what we got from NBC's two promos for their new late-night lineup, which will see Fallon move from "Late Night" to "Tonight" and Meyers move from his weekend "Saturday Night Live" gig to a desk job on "Late Night."

Up all night to get turkey? So was Jimmy Fallon

While you were in a food coma Thursday, Jimmy Fallon still had to go to work.

But on the plus side, he had Rashida Jones and Carrie Underwood there to keep him company - and the trio got a little silly. (Maybe it was all the tryptophan?)
