'Glee' casts Rachel Berry's dads

TVLine reports that Tony-winning Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent's" Jeff Goldblum will portray Hiram and LeRoy Berry, the couple who adopted and raised Lea Michele's character Rachel.

We won't have to wait long to see them in action, either - the Berry dads will make their first appearance in the February 14 episode of "Glee," and they're expected to sing.

"Glee" returned on Tuesday night with reality star NeNe Leakes, Helen Mirren's voice (which provided Becky's internal monologue), and not one but two proposals - the last of which ended in a cliffhanger.

(If you're nervous about spoilers, you should stop reading now.)

Let's start with Leakes' character, Roz Washington, the synchronized swim coach who is just as vocal as Leakes is on her Bravo reality show.

Ryan Seacrest 'can't imagine life' without 'Idol'

The "Today" show may be considering Ryan Seacrest as a potential successor to Matt Lauer should the position become available, but the Hollywood heavyweight is still devoted to "American Idol."

He said as much at during the Television Critics Association's winter tour, explaining to press, “I can tell you I can’t imagine life without 'American Idol.' I have a deal with NBC Universal already…but I can’t comment on that.”

Lea Michele explains name change to Leno

“Glee” starlet Lea Michele has made a name for herself without using her actual last name, but she opened up about why she dropped it Wednesday on “The Tonight Show."

It's not unheard of for Hollywood stars to adopt a so-called mainstream moniker or just drop the last name altogether, but Lea says her new name was born of schoolyard bullying, not celebrity styling.

"Sarfati. That's my real last name," the 25-year-old actress revealed to Jay Leno. "I don't use it a lot because I got Lea So-fatty, Lea So-farty at school. So when I was little and I went on my first audition they were like, 'And may we have your name,' and I was like 'Lea Michele.'"
