The last time Lea Michele's Twitter followers saw an update from the "Glee" star was on July 13, when the unthinkable happened. The 26-year-old's on- and off-screen boyfriend, Cory Monteith, was found dead at 31.
In the days since, Michele's co-stars have one by one expressed their grief over losing Monteith. On July 29, Michele broke her silence and joined the chorus with a statement of her own.

A number of "Glee" stars thought of Cory Monteith like a brother, and on Thursday they gathered to mourn the loss of their show business sibling.
The comedy's co-creator, Ryan Murphy, joined Lea Michele in rounding up "Glee's" cast, crew and producers for a private memorial service in honor of the 31-year-old actor. Monteith died July 13 from a mixed drug toxicity that included heroin and alcohol.

Naya Rivera and Dianna Agron have opened up publicly about how they considered Monteith not only a friend but a family member, and it sounds like Jane Lynch would say the same.

For three weeks in Philadelphia last fall, Cory Monteith took a personal battle and spun it into a performance.
The 31-year-old actor, who was found dead on Saturday, had struggled with substance addiction in the past, and he drew upon that experience for an upcoming film called "McCanick."

"Glee" star Matthew Morrison soldiered on with a show in New York on Sunday with the death of Cory Monteith heavy on his mind.
The 34-year-old actor and singer was scheduled to perform at 54 Below, and according to the New York Times, he acknowledged the "awkward" difficulty of taking the stage.

There was nothing not to love about Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson on "Glee."
With his naiveté and handsome face, Finn was the jock who stole our hearts as if – like the character – we were still in high school. We watched him grapple with his feelings over his friendship with a gay character who had a crush on him. We fell in love with his romance with Rachel Berry (in real life, the actress who portrayed Berry, Lea Michele, dated Monteith) and wondered about the future of his character after Finn graduated.
